Edison from Bamboo Ecotours was really a great person to deal with during our trip plan. Since the beginning he has been really helpful, clear, well organized and detailed in the information provided.
He was very quick to respond since the beginning with superlative attention in organizing all the details and drawing down the trip schedule.
We arranged together with him some modifications to the original plan, adding some days: everything has been managed wonderfully.
Bamboo Ecotours dealed with all the nexessary bookings and formalities for all the trip.
The trip itself has been a great experience, with a perfect 4x4 car and Fred was a great and experienced guide and driver. He well managed all the trip, providing with information, explanations and support.
We opted for budget accomodations, and every accomodation provided by Bamboon Ecotours was really good without any issue.
Planning with Bamboo Ecotours was easy and quick. If we ever plan another trip in Uganda or Rwand, we will definitely book again with Bamboo. Highly reccomended company!

High Levels of Integrity and great communication
Gorilla trekking is the highlight of any trip to Uganda but requires significant preparatory working especially in securing the right permits on the right day.
Edison excelled at this letting us know about availability and cost and talking us through the application process. The permits are payable in advance in full and it take confidence to send the funds to someone you have never met but Edison's reputation and integrity made this a smooth process. On the morning of the trek, Amanya picked us up from out =r lodge and organised the admin and which group we'd be trekking. Be aware they don't come on the trek with you as it's limited to 8 people per group

Bamboo Ecotours gave me an experience of a lifetime to visit trek and see the mountain gorillas
I did the 2 day trip from Kigali, Rwanda to trek in Bwindi National Forest with return trip back to the airport in Kigali. Amanya, my guide and driver, promptly picked me up at my hotel and was available for questions throughout. He drove safely through the pretty country towns of Rwanda and Uganda where I got to eat local food and see locals living life. He was funny and informative and I enjoyed my 5 hour drive with him. The Gorilla trek experience itself was amazing! The tour group and guide was enjoyable and I got to see the amazing apes up close and safely. I highly recommend this company for an amazing trip, good communication and efficient service.

Incredible 6 days Uganda tour
We booked our 6-day Uganda safari with Bamboo Ecotours, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. It was a bit last-minute, but Edison made it happen—super responsive, professional, and flexible. I traveled with my 16-year-old daughter, and now Uganda has stolen both our hearts. She’s already saying she wants to come back!
We started in Kigali, Rwanda and ended in Entebbe, Uganda, which made the journey even more special as we got to experience two countries in one trip.
Our guide John was simply the best—so friendly, kind, and full of knowledge. He told us stories about Ugandan culture, wildlife, and even about his own family, which made the whole experience feel incredibly personal. He made sure we were safe, comfortable, and truly immersed in everything Uganda has to offer.
The itinerary was perfectly paced. Highlights included:
• Gorilla trekking in Bwindi – surreal and humbling.
• Golden monkey trekking and Lake Bunyonyi – magical sunsets.
• Queen Elizabeth National Park safari and boat cruise – we saw elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and so many birds!
• Chimp trekking in Kibale – energetic and fascinating.
• Bigodi Community Tour – we helped cook a traditional Ugandan meal and even helped make local banana beer! This is an absolute must-do.
Every lodge was cozy and clean, and the food… wow! Fresh, flavorful, and full of local flair.
Uganda is a gem—lush landscapes, kind people, and unforgettable wildlife. We felt welcomed everywhere we went. Thank you John and Edison for making this a dream trip. Highly, highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours to anyone thinking about Africa!

Very efficient and friendly to deal with.
What an amazing experience! Everything went perfectly. From booking a year in advance and all the follow up questions I had until our actual trip, Edison (owner) was wonderful to deal with and very speedy communication. When our tour started, Fred was our guide. Fred was a wonderful guide, everything from answering questions, to providing information. He made sure that we completed everything on our to do list. At the end of each day, he went over what the game plan was for the next day. The highlight of our trip was the gorilla trek, which we saw a very large family. The chip trek was equally as enjoyable. On the Akagera Driving safari, Fred did a great job finding and pointing out animals to us. Bamboo Ecotours offers a great variety of tour options and we were able to customize the tour a tad with changing up one of the hotels. All lodging and food provided on the tour exceeded our expectations. Planning with Bamboo Ecotours was easy and worry free. If we ever plan a trip an Uganda, we will definitely use you. Thank you Edison and Fred for a wonderful trip. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience.

Incredible experience
Experience of a lifetime! We got incredible up close time with there family of gorillas. Our guide was super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The lodgings were gorgeous. Highly recommend Bamboo!

The gorillas were of course amazing, the budget accommodation we stayed in was also amazing and the coffee experience was also amazing! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!

Bamboo ecotours, my guide Herbert, and the administrator Edison made my time in Uganda an unforgettable and flawless experience. These guys are serious experts at their craft! My guide and driver, Herbert, was absolutely proficient at navigating the country and national parks, teaching me about the animals, nature, and culture at every place we went. The accommodations and food were incredibly organized, clean, and comfortable. All in all this company and the experience they provided exceeded my expectations and I am very grateful for their work. They’re truly worth every penny!

Could not ask for a better tour/safari
Loved every second of it. And from the beginning they were amazing, explaining everything to me without being pushy. Uganda and Rwanda is in now top of my favourite places in the world ..amazing landscapes, birds gorillas, chimps , lions and many more unique creatures..People are lovely, generous and friendly and man the food was to die for...fresh and delish
