Staffs, driver, chef, all were great people.
I was lucky enough to see all the animals I wanted including rhinos despite low season.

The Beast Team
5/5

My roommates and I started our trips thinking the worst, we flew into Arusha and found that our bags did not make our connecting flight, and had not arrived in JRO airport yet. We went out to find our driver Kevin to help us translate with the airport staff to organize the retrieval our bags. He not only helped organize our bag retrieval but personally drove to pick them up for us to ensure we received everything we needed before our safari began. Kevin ensured us that anything we needed or anywhere we needed to go, he had us covered. We enjoyed his charismatic and fun personality so much that we invited him over for dinner and had a night filled with laughs. The following day we were picked up by both Kevin and Simon. Simon would be our safari driver/guide for the next 5 days. Simone exceeded every expectation we had. He was wise, kind, charismatic, fun, and most importantly extremely knowledgeable about both the animals and the history of the parks and the people surrounding it. Ask him any question about what you see both in the towns or in the national parks and he will give you all the information you need. He was everything you would hope for in a safari guide. To top it all off we had cook named Miriam that came to all 4 of our safari destinations and made us delicious meals everyday. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and the culture surrounding it. To sum it all up I had a 10/10 experience and would recommend requesting Kevin as your transport, Simone as your guide, and Miriam as your cook. I’d also like to thank loveless for her speedy responses and helpful quotation to get our trip sorted.

5 Star Experience
5/5

I booked a 5-day budget camping safari, which included one day in Lake Manyara, one day in Tarangire National Park, two days in the Serengeti, and one day in Ngorongoro Crater. Initially, I wasn’t sure what to expect—after all, this was a “budget” camping tour—but the experience far exceeded my expectations. What we received was truly five-star service from start to finish.

From the beginning, Loveness was incredibly responsive and informative. Despite the 10-hour time difference between California and Tanzania, she consistently replied to my inquiries promptly, which I greatly appreciated. She also arranged transportation for us from the airport to our Airbnb, which was an added convenience.

Our driver, Kevin, was outstanding—by far the best driver I’ve had in all my travels. His hospitality, charisma, and warmth made us feel immediately at ease. In fact, we felt so connected with him that we invited him to join us for dinner at our Airbnb—he truly felt like family. When our luggage was delayed due to a missed connection, Kevin went above and beyond, contacting the airport, ensuring our bags were located, and even personally escorting us back to collect them before the safari began.

Our safari guide, Simon—highly recommended by Kevin—was equally exceptional. With over 10 years of experience, Simon navigates each national park with deep knowledge and confidence. He was a wealth of information, patiently answering all our questions about the animals and the history of the parks. Beyond his expertise, he is one of the most kind-hearted and humorous people I’ve met.

As for the food, I had no idea what to expect on a camping safari, but Mariam, our cook, delivered authentic, delicious African cuisine every day. She consistently exceeded our expectations with her meals and her warm, welcoming nature.

Loveness, Kevin, Simon, and Mariam form an incredible team. I wouldn’t change a single thing about my safari experience, and I will absolutely be returning and booking with them again. If you’re planning a safari, I highly recommend asking for this dream team—they made my experience unforgettable, and I now consider them family.

Thank you all for the memories. I’ll be back!

Above all expectations
5/5

I did a 4 day 3 nights safari with three parks. John my driver/guide was very good his knowledge of the animals and plants was impeccable and his driving was as safe as can be while getting close to all the animals that enabled me to get the best pictures with just my phone. I saw everything and more. The big 5 the little 5 and the ugly 5. He was able to get all my expectations and more. Even introduced new animals to me. His plant medicine was very interesting too. Then Miriam our cook/guide took camp food to a new level. Curries, fish n chips, pastas, and rice dishes were amazing Always balanced with vegetables and meat too. I’m a professional chef so trust me I know . This was both lunch dinner and breakfast was always a proper treat to eggs bread pancakes coffee tea avocado fruit and all the appropriate condiments. John and Miriam made me feel so comfortable like they were true friends. They truly are the dream team. Serengeti/Ngorgoro are a must. I will never forget this, especially hearing the lion’s roar while sleeping and a cheetah resting his paws on our back wheel was definitely a highlight let’s not forget all the amazing animals really.

Excellent
5/5

Had a 4 day safari, flew into the Serengeti, had a fabulous day's safari and were lucky to see so many animals on our first day, our driver Innocent was amazing, he got us where we needed to be to see the animals, on day 3 we had a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater which is just an amazing place in its own right, again we were lucky to see both species of Rhino, and a leopard!
On day 4 our game drive was at Tarangire were things started a little slower but eventually we got to see some fabulous sites including a few week on elephant. Overall we had the best time ever and are planning to go to do a balloon ride over the Serengeti. I will definitely be using Mountain warriors again. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Innocent is professional, personable and punctual.
5/5

TLDR: When we come back, we will use Mountian Warriors again and will arrange our trip with Innocent. He was amazing. Everything was arranged and simple. We didnt need to bring any other money with us except tips. We didn't have to worry about food or accommodations. It was stress free.

We found Mountain Warriors online and decided to give it a shot. They are not the most expensive or the cheapest option. It turned out to be great value for our money! Innocent was great. He arrived on time helped us with our bags and had drinks in the fridge waiting for us. We had a great conversation on the car ride learning about Tanzanian culture, different tribes, details about the parks we were going to visit and his kilamanjaro climbing expeditions!

At the parks we traveled to, instead of following the other drivers, Innocent took some alternate paths that allowed us to be isolated in the beauty of nature with giraffes, elephants, lions, buffalo, rhino etc. He had knowledge about the animals, the trees, and the circle of life for that park/region. Even the cities and towns we drove through, Innocent explained the meaning of the names.

The overnight hotel (Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge) that was booked for us by Mountain Warriors was stunning and we were thrilled.

I'd recommend and will book again for our next adventure

Amazing safari experience!
5/5

The Most Amazing Safari Experience with Mountain Warriors, John & Miriam

We had the most unforgettable 5-day safari with John from Mountain Warriors—it was truly beyond anything we could have imagined! We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and the Ngorongoro Crater, and every day was packed with amazing landscapes & adventure.

Our absolute favourites were the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, including lion cubs, leopard cubs, a cheetah family, and the wildebeest migration. The amount of wildlife we saw—zebras, gazelles, elephants, hippos, and more—was just incredible.

The safari vehicle was very comfortable, and John was an exceptional guide. His knowledge, patience, and determination to find animals made the whole experience so special.

We spent two nights camping and two nights in a lodge. The camping experiences were something we’ll never forget—especially at Ngorongoro, where we shared the camp with buffalos and zebras roaming freely around tents. It was surreal how calm and peaceful they were, even just between the tents & next to people.

Tips for future travellers:
* Bring a good torch/flashlight—there’s a lot of action at night you won’t want to miss!
* Don’t leave clothes or shoes outside your tent—buffalos chewed up my daughter’s towel!
* Pack very warm clothes for the Ngorongoro area—nights get cold!
* And don’t worry if you’re nervous about camping—the tents were very clean and fully waterproof.

This was truly the trip of a lifetime. We can’t recommend Mountain Warriors and John enough—thank you for an extraordinary adventure!
Huge thanks to Miriam for our delicious, freshly cooked food everyday: pancakes & swahilli food meals. It was really special!

Very communicative and sorted everything we could need.
5/5

We as a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and a 7 year old) took a 5 day safari with Mountain Warriors with John as our guide covering the serengeti, Tarangire National Park Tanzania, ngorongoro crater and lake manyara.

This was a trip of a lifetime made even more memorable by John our guide, I highly suggest choosing the camping on the serengeti and negoragora crater as they for me were one of the higlihjts of the trip. I cannot recommend mountain warriors and John in particular to take your safari with. We got to see all the Big 5 and Ugly 5 and the knowledge passed on by John was great the serengeti is huge so there will be periods of time you will see no animals but even during those times the ambeaunce is amazing and you will soak it all in. One piece of advice, don't leave things hanging to dry outside your tent because the buffalo or hyenas will eat them 😂😂
