Well organized tour, very good communication, helpful team behind.
While we contacted companies, Zambezi expeditions seemed better priced than others, and we got a lot help to understand about the entire plan and tour right from the beginning. Everything was very smooth during the booking process, we were staying in touch practically until we arrived to Vic Falls airport. We had flexibility to add additional activities which also helped a lot to make it a really good holiday.

Professional and accommodating
The tour was amazing. It was a great experience for us. We started in Victoria Falls, then went to Chobe national park, Elephant Sands, Makgadikgadi Salt Pan, and the Okavango Delta. The last part (Okavango) was a little bit disappointing because we didn't see as many animals as expected. But obviously this doesn't depend on the tour operator!
Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours was easy to work with. They were very accommodating to meet our wishes and modify an existing tour. They always replied in a timely manner, as well.
My only small criticism would be that communication could have been better during the tour itself, with more daily information. For example, several times we didn't know at what time we will start the next day.
Overall, they provided a great service and this tour will stay in our memory for a very long time. I would strongly recommend Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours to someone who would like to discover the beautiful Zimbabwe/Botswana region.

Fantastic Botswana Safari with Zambezi - supportive, local and organised way to experience Botswana
Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours absolutely exceeded our expectations for a 10-day camping trip in Botswana and we would not hesitate to recommend them to other travellers looking for an authentic, supportive and organised tour provider in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia or Namibia.
As a group of 3, we had expected to be rolled in to other larger groups, but we ended up largely on private experiences with a generous and supportive crew who set up camp, cooked delicious food and drove us safely through all manner of terrain and incredible animal encounters. As Zambezi is a Zimbabwean company, they partnered with local Botswanan providers throughout the country to give us the best possible experience while supporting the local economy. This meant we had local experts for each different Park/area with one central coordinator transferring us between locations and informing us of the next steps. It was great to be able to meet a range of local community members in this way and learn in detail about the different areas which all offer unique experiences and sights.
We had also tailored the budget 10-day camping trip to our preferences, with Zambezi offering great expertise for what would be possible in the time and how to achieve the goals of our trip - I can safely say we would not have had even half of the amazing experiences we did had we tried to organise it ourselves!
Francis was an excellent guide and driver who offered interesting and enjoyable company as well as expertise on all sorts of elements of animals, the environment and life in Zimbabwe and Botswana. Nothing was too much trouble for all of Zambezi, with Oscar and Silence expertly coordinating and supporting the trip from afar. For example, on our first day there was an issue with a safari boat (a separate operator to Zambezi) and Oscar immediately set us up with a new experience the next day to make sure we didn't miss out. This kind of support and excellent service was greatly appreciated and extended throughout the whole trip.
We hope to visit the area again and will absolutely be reaching back out to Zambezi for our next adventure! Thank you Oscar, Francis, Silence and the team again for all of your work!

Willing to go above and beyond!
We had an absolutely incredible safari! Zambezi went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. For the price especially, this is a wonderful safari with every inclusion necessary. We truly feel that we made the most of our time on safari and had the opportunity to engage in every activity we wanted. Oscar was an amazing camp director taking us on Mokoro rides and game walks (we truly felt like we were living among the animals!), Khumo was a wonderful game driver taking us to see two packs of lions (20 total!,) Silence and Oscar did a wonderful job helping us arrange activities (especially in Zimbabwe where we went to Devil’s Pool and did a helicopter ride. Each of our requests were met. The food and activities were wonderful and we could not recommend this tour more!

Overall very good experience, reasonably priced.
The Zambezi team put together a lovely, no-frills travel experience. The time in Okovango Delta hosted by a local tribe was particularly special. Only real criticism was at times poor communication from organizers and I had to follow up regularly to check times and plans for the next day. Very good value for money!

Amazing Zimbabwe and Botswana camping experience, fantastic value!!
My partner and I did the 9 day budget camping tour from Victoria Falls to the Okavango Delta. Such an unreal experience, would absolutely recommend. There is a fantastic balance of activities and time to relax, in our opinion.
Our primary guide Francis was super welcoming, he had so much knowledge that he was happy to share with us. He really made the experience more fun and engaging. We learnt so much about all the animals and environment along with the culture of Zimbabwe and Botswana. Really can't thank Francis enough for his guidance.
The activities were exactly as outlined, plenty of safaris in which we saw all the animals we were hoping to see! Even though we didn't make any changes to the itinerary, we felt like there was plenty of flexibility if we wanted to adjust anything. Biggest highlight of this tour was definitely camping in the Delta, it's something everyone has got to try.
A few of the activities are booked with the local tour operators at each specific location, and we found the handover/communication with some of them to be a bit lacking, (i.e. pickup times not being provided to us until a few hours before), however, everything went according to plan, so it's really just about trusting the process. The team at Zambezi were welcoming and very responsive prior and during our tour.
We highly recommend this experience, especially if you are looking for a budget option. The team at Zambezi are awesome and will provide you with such an awesome tour!

Unforgettable African experience!
We planned our 8-day tour by email exchanges with Silence several months before our trip. Silence was very kind and responsive, promptly answering our questions and addressing our concerns.
Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, everything was perfect! The falls were amazing, and we enjoyed all the activites there. We then moved to Kasane, where the safari game drives were fantastic, and the Chobe River cruise exceeded our expectations, providing us with unforgettable moments.
Our stop at Elephant Sands was a tranquil oasis, allowing us to recharge before venturing into the Okavango Delta. The Delta was the highlight of our trip, surpassing our expectations and evoking strong emotions. We loved to be immerse in the wilderness, camping with only the essentials, and experiencing the raw beauty of nature.
Francis, our guide, was discreet, professional, and friendly, making him the perfect companion. We enjoyed talking about Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and wildlife with him, and really appreciated the opportunity to share dinner together. Dear Francis, we hope to share other adventures with you in the future :)
In the Okavango, SP and his team from the local community were attentive and kind, showing us the incredible beauty of the region.
We already miss Africa. Thank you for making our journey unforgettable.

Amazing safari experience in Chobe National park
Me and my wife planned a safari tour in Botsuana for our honey moon and we found on the internet good reviews about Zambezi expeditions. For sure was the best decision we could make cause everything was so well organized. We booked for the 3 days tour to visit Chobe and stay in the national park.
Thanks to all the team, we felt really confortable with the planning and the activities.
Especial mention to Francis, our driver from Victoria Falls to Chobe, thank you!
Highly recommended.
