Best experience of my life
Our safari experience with Savannah Explorers was simply amazing! I didn’t expect to see so many animals and it truly felt magical, especially thanks to our guide Mau. He was extremely efficient, kind, and professional. Mau knows everything about the savannah and is a very skilled driver, I always felt completely safe even on the most difficult roads. He is the guide everyone would wish for, knowledgeable, funny, and very caring. He made this experience unique by showing us so many animals and teaching us about different plants. Thank you so much Mau, you made our trip unforgettable!

Excellent, David is an awesome tour guide
Our tour was amazing! We were able to see the famous wildebeest river crossing and all of the Ugly 5 and Big 4 (minus rhinos) during our tour. Our guide David has been awesome, it has been a delightful experience to spend time with someone who is so passionate about the safari and knows so much about animals. It was our first trip to the east African safari and we can’t wait to come back again with Savannah explorer.

Our driver Jackson Kola was great !!
Our Safari was incredibile: Jackson was a really great person and a very skill and safe guide. We saw everything with him: all "the big five", also the rare black rhino in Ngoro Ngoo crater!
Highly reccomended, we hope to come back soon in Tanzania and meet Jackson again as our driver!

Yusef was an incredibly knowledgeable, fun, kind, thoughtful and safe guide!!!
My wife, son and I recently spent almost two weeks in safari in Tanzania, using Savannah Explorers. It was absolutely incredible! The wildlife, people, cuisine, and accommodations were all incredible! Our guide, Yusef, was absolutely THE best. We counted 49 different animal species during our safari. All the guides from different companies are part of a network in which they alert each other about sightings. It was truly overwhelmingly joyful when we got to see a pair of cheetahs from very close up on day 1 in the bush. The hot air safari, as well as the walking safaris, were phenomenal! I simply can’t say enough great things about our experience! We also got to visit a Maasai village (we were asked to pay $50 as well as to purchase some handmade gift items to help support the village members), which was, as our 18 year-old son said, like a real life sociology class! Throughout our journey every person we met was incredibly kind and treated us not just with great respect, but embraced us and made us feel so welcome! It was truly a life changing experience for us, and if I were to do it again I would not change a thing. Finally, as a boy I remember playing in some woods behind our house, pretending to be in the bush. Some 50 years later I realized that I still have that desire, and I finally got to experience the real thing!

Felix was experienced, caring, and fun!! We could not have had a better guide.
Communication with Savannah Explorers was always quick and easy. They were very accommodating to our group. The Rover was in great condition, well taken care of , and comfortable. Our guide Felix was the best! He found every animal we asked for and was so knowledgeable.
The only negative thing was one of our accommodations, Africa Safari Karatu Lodge, wasn’t up to “luxury” standards. The rooms cleanliness wasn’t great and the showers were not functioning.
But everything was simply exceptional and we will definitely be using Savanah Explorers again.

Tour: Everything was well organized. Perfect itinerary, except for the last day in Arusha – in our opinion, it could have included an alternative day (e.g., forest of Meru and waterfalls).

An Unforgettable Family Safari with Savannah Explorers
From the very first email to the last day of our trip, Savannah Explorers proved to be an outstanding choice for our Tanzanian adventure in August 2025. Preparing a safari for a family of five — with three children — is not a simple task, yet they handled every step with remarkable care and attention.
A special thank you to Daniela, whose advice and support during the planning phase were truly invaluable. She listened to our needs, addressed every question with patience, and built an itinerary that perfectly balanced adventure, rest, and unforgettable experiences.
On the ground, everything was perfectly organized: from the selection of lodges (each one charming and comfortable) to the thoughtful distribution of time between parks and activities, every detail reflected professionalism and passion.
Our guide John was simply extraordinary. Not only does he speak excellent Italian, but he also managed to keep our children engaged and fascinated throughout the journey, turning every game drive into a fun and educational experience. Always kind, always available, always with a smile — he made the trip even more special.
We couldn’t recommend Savannah Explorers enough for families or anyone looking for a perfectly tailored safari. This was a trip we will cherish forever.
