Fabulous Safari trip with amazing camp sites.
Our group of eight had an amazing experience with Savanah Explorers. The guides were super friendly, very knowledgeable and professional at all times. They took us to the right places and were able to see the great five plus many other animals and all sort of birds. Our trip highlights was seeing 40 lions and lionesses, crowned crane, secretary bird and cheetah with her four cubs.
The cabins we stayed out were superb with great staff and delicious food.
The guides worked tirelessly to make us comfortable and happy.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our safari trip a memorable experience.

My Africa
My first phone call with Roberto was a year ago. A simple chat to see if that dream called Tanzania could finally become a reality. That call was enough for us to shake hands and say, "It's possible."
From the first moment, I felt safe. For a whole year, I continued to dream, guided step by step by Roberto's constant presence, until organizing the itinerary became the excuse to forge a true friendship.
I thought the greatest wonder would be seeing the animals free, losing myself in an African sunset, feeling small before the immensity of nature. I will never forget the lion's eyes meeting mine: an encounter I had dreamed of even before leaving, and it overwhelmed my heart.
But then came other eyes: those of the real Tanzania, experienced through its people. If the lion's proud and wild gaze left me breathless, those of the Tanzanian people left me speechless.
In the lion's eyes, I saw all the strength and beauty of the Africa I had come seeking; in those of its people, I discovered the Africa that silently enters you, confronts you, and forever changes the value you place on things.
And Roberto already knew it. Because while he was drawing the map of my safari, he was ultimately organizing a parallel journey: not a simple succession of geographical stops, but an intimate journey of encounters and emotions destined to change you inside.
I encountered a harsh reality, a poverty that no photograph can truly convey.
I saw how little there can be inside a home, yet how much light there can be in the eyes of those who live there.
Where my eyes saw so little, I found smiles capable of conveying immense joy. I saw children running without shoes, with dust and dirt on their legs, and a smile so pure it made you ashamed of every single time you complained about the smallest thing. In a world where we rush too much, here you understand how immense the world is and how much energy we waste on things that don't really matter.
Thank you, Roberto, and thank you to the entire Savannah team. Starting with Mudy, our guide: a truly special guy, who with his passion, kindness, and sensitivity accompanied us every day, making every sighting and every road an indelible memory; the lodge staff, the chefs (I'll never forget the surprise of the sambusas), every single person who took care of us. Always present with disarming discretion, with that sincere kindness that can't be learned, but is within. People capable of making you feel at home even thousands of miles away.
Organizing a trip may be a job like any other, but creating true emotions is a rare art. And you succeeded.
There are journeys that show you the world, and others that, through the world, change the way you look at your life.

Well organized and experienced
We spent 9 days in Tanzania, doing only safari. It is a difficult journey, so it is very important to prepare It carefully in any detail.
Savannah Explorer was always present before and during the journey, answering to all our questions and suggesting changes when adviceable, thus giving us the chance to live a wonderful safari.

It was a superlative experience, first of all for the nature that surrounded us throughout our stay.
It was a superb experience, first and foremost for the nature that surrounded us throughout our journey, with its flora and especially its fauna.
Secondly, our thanks go to the locals and to our guide Mukhusin from Savannah Explorers, who accompanied us throughout our journey across the splendid black continent, revealing and explaining its beauties and peculiarities.

Great experience, professional staff
We spent 5-6 incredible days on safari with Rick (Richard) and we can honestly say that it was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. He was absolutely the best of the best!
Rick is an exceptional safari guide: extremely knowledgeable, attentive, considerate, professional, and also a genuinely kind and funny person. From the very first day, we felt completely comfortable with him. He explained so many things about the animals, nature, and the environment around us, and he was always attentive to our needs and made sure we were enjoying every moment of the safari.
One of the things that impressed us the most was his incredible ability to find the animals. He was constantly communicating with other guides and sharing information, which allowed him to take us straight to the best places to see wildlife. Thanks to him, we saw absolutely everything (including leopard twice, and also the great migration in Serengeti north!) it was truly amazing. We had so many incredible encounters with animals that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
We also never had a single problem with the safari vehicle. Rick was extremely careful and responsible, and he always made us feel completely safe. What impressed us even more was how helpful he was towards other people as well. Several times, he stopped to help other guides or safari vehicles when they needed assistance. That really showed us what kind of person he is — not only an excellent guide, but also a genuinely helpful and generous person.
On top of everything, we simply had a wonderful time with him on a personal level. Spending 5-6 days together was a real pleasure. We laughed, talked, shared stories, and genuinely enjoyed his company. We never had any problems whatsoever and always felt that we were in the best possible hands.
If you are looking for a safari guide, we absolutely recommend Rick 100%. He is knowledgeable, professional, kind, funny, extremely helpful, and incredibly good at what he does. Thanks to him, our safari was truly unforgettable.
For us, he was absolutely the best of the best. We could not have asked for a better guide. Thank you so much, Rick, for these amazing days!

They promise the big 5 (we missed rino)
Sammy promised that he would have done everything he could do to see the big 5, Unfortunatly due to traffic jam we could not visit the rino sanctuary included into program 😡… that said the rest of safari was really amazing.
The first 2 lodges where impressing with animals just feeding in front of our rooms … The last one instead there is room to improve from the rooms to the food … and yes with Wi-Fi because when you are away and there is no connection available is not a great things (no tour operator didn’t gave us the promise mobile that we could had used during the safari 🤔)

Adventure and comfort in one
Richard, the guide that was assigned to me and my family, has been an amazing guide. He was always available to any request from us and always in the search for some animals to show us. With him the jeep became our second house and all the animals we saw our pets. We were deeply surprised to see the big fives and many other animals so close to our vehicle (no need for telescopes). Savannah explorers organised for us an amazing trip. Every day counted and showed us something different and unique. All the hotels in which we stayed were worthy of our consideration. I would sincerely recommend this safari tour operator to any friend of mine.
