Best Trip Ever!
Highest praise and sincere gratitude to everyone at Africa Uncovered for making our first foray into the African continent a wonderful experience on every level!
With many companies to choose from, Archie’s immediate and clear communication made it easy to choose this company over the others.
We were blessed to have Tafara as our guide for six days through South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.
Experienced and thoroughly
knowledgeable about local wildlife, culture, and history, Tafara
listened to our preferences and helped us make excursion choices that optimized every moment and made this trip one of the best I’ve had in 73 years! Always prompt, kind, professional, and friendly, Tafara went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and safe. I can only hope he might be available when I return with my family.
FIVE STARS and my highest recommendation to Africa Uncovered! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Tafara was the best guide ever! He is knowledgeable, kind and attentive.
This was my first time visiting Africa. To be honest I was quite nervous. However from start to finish I felt cared for. Before the trip, Archie was available to answer every questions and put me at ease. He promised we would be welcomed with open arms. When we met our guide Tafara in Victoria Falls, I was instantly relieved to be greeted with his warm smile. He made sure everything went smoothly and adjusted to any request we made. He went out of his was to make arrangements outside of our itinerary. After the first day, I felt I had gotten my money's worth. In fact after that day in Hwange, I said "if I go home now I would be satisfied". And it only got better and better. I think something that made the trip so special was that Tafara shared that joy with us. He genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. And we did! I highly recommend Africa Uncovered and if you are lucky enough to have Tafara as your guide, it will be a trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much!

With Tafara, Africa Uncovered felt like traveling with a friend—safe and unforgettable.
We recently traveled with Africa Uncovered, and our experience could not have been better. Our guide, Tafara, went above and beyond every single day. He anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, was super professional, and extremely knowledgeable—not only about the wildlife, but also about the history, economy, politics, and traditions of the region.
Tafara was also an excellent navigator. He helped us smoothly handle border crossings and minimized costs with visas. On the road, he was constantly vigilant about hazards, making us feel safe and well cared for. He accommodated every need with patience and warmth, and it truly felt like we were traveling with a good friend rather than just a guide.
One of the things that stood out most was the difference between Africa Uncovered and larger operators. We had done another multi-day safari with a big company, and it didn’t compare. That trip felt impersonal and disorganized, while Tafara and Africa Uncovered delivered a seamless, intimate, and personalized experience that was incredible from start to finish.
For anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime safari, we wholeheartedly recommend Africa Uncovered—and especially Tafara. We’ve already been recommending him to our friends and family. The value for the money, the personal touch, and the unforgettable memories made this trip truly special.

Every thing taken care of! 9-Day Majestic Vic Falls and Botswana Wildlife Safari
This was our first safari for my husband and me - we did not know what to expect. When we looked at this company, it was reassuring to see that everything was included (except alcoholic beverages and tips for guides). We really felt we got a great value for the cost of the trip. Archie was great at getting back to us when we had a change of dates and very patient with payment - there were some problems with the payment links, but all was eventually resolved before the trip.
This was a wonderful, memorable trip! Muza was our guide and made us all feel welcome and treated as "family". This was important, because we spent a lot of time together! The accommodations were great, we wished we could spend more time at some where we were only there for one night - but really the trip is about getting out and seeing sights and animals, for which we were not disappointed. As we were travelling in the dry season - July/August, mosquitos were very few and not really a concern.
The safari was a great combination of walking, boat and game drives - all different ways to see animals from different perspectives. We had local guides at each of the places we stopped at who were all very knowledgeable in finding animals and giving information about them. Muza was awesome in making the best use of our time - getting us where we needed to be at the right time and helping facilitate meal times when they could be chosen in advance, so they were there when we returned from our outings. The meals were great and more than enough. We bought a few snacks at a store near one of the lodges, but really didn't need them. The van was comfortable, water was provided every day, and the travel between points were really also "game drives" and Muza stopped for us to view and take pictures of anything we wanted to see. He was patient, kind and clear with instructions about where and when to meet and what we were doing. We saw 4 of the 5 "Big
Five" on this trip (Rhinos populations are low in Botswana - best seen at a sanctuary), but we also saw impalas, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, hippos, baboons and monkeys, and many birds.
We also got a chance to visit with people living in a traditional village, which really helped us understand what we were seeing when we passed through other villages. This, Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta camping via Mokoro, were all highlights of the trip.
Lastly, we started our trip at a conference in Livingstone, Zambia, where we flew in and out of. This complicated things because we had to cross over the border to Zimbabwe at the start of the trip and then cross back from Botswana to Zimbabwe to Zambia the last morning of the trip. Muza scheduled this perfectly so that we made the crossings and got to the airport in plenty of time to make our flight. All of the border crossings were not difficult, but all depended on how busy they were, which is not always easy to predict.
Overall, we felt welcomed and well cared for on our first safari and are ready to return! Thank you to the folks at Africa Uncovered Safaris!

Highly recommended !
5-Day Victoria Falls and Hawnge National Park Safari. Archie handled my booking and requests quickly and professionally, Muza as driver/guide was excellent. Communication excellent, good service, good value for money, always reliable, and a very enjoyable tour. I am sure it was not easy for Muza as I was the only client on the trip. Fortunately that meant we could stop whenever I asked, particularly useful for birding in Hwange. Thank you!

Botswana 7 day tour - Incredible experience for our family
We travelled as a family of 6 adults and this was the perfect tour for a special holiday for us.
I found the booking process flexible and easy - it was a pleasure to correspond with Archie in their office to make sure we got the right tour at the right time. We had a few issues with paying the deposits / balance due to payment methods not working but Archie found alternatives and was very patient.
The tour itself was brilliant - we were well looked after by guide Norman and driver Simba the entire time, from a friendly welcome and pick up in Victoria Falls, though interesting conversations and insights on our drives and over meals, to them dropping us off at the airport the day after our tour finished. They were genuinely so lovely, I cannot praise them highly enough.
The activities and accommodation were well thought out and covered the best of Botswana - we absolutely loved the safaris in Chobe with brilliant local guide D who very much indulged our family’s love of birds! The accommodation was really lovely everywhere we went - we especially enjoyed the very special lodges at Nata Lodge. There is obviously a lot of driving on this tour - Botswana is a big place - but the bus was comfortable and there were appropriate rest stops.
Overall I really recommend Africa Uncovered Safaris and the 7 day Botswana tour. Botswana and Zimbabwe are wonderful counties to visit and the wildlife is really something else. If we come back to Southern Africa we will use Africa Uncovered again.

Great team - experience and great hospitality
I was initially worried when i booked the reservation as it is my first time booking a safari trip in Africa.
However my worry was unfounded. Muza was a great tour guide working closely with the team of Norman and Simba. We were greeted by Norman at the airport and started off the trip with a visit to Vic Falls before being briefed on the rest of the tour
The team was very flexible - being able to add things to the itenary like the Vic falls trip and also changing my kind of camping out in the Okavango delta. It is a great experience and is a must do
The first official day of the tour was so spectacular. Just even the drive from Vic Falls to Kasane - Muza was providing interesting facts of his beloved country and stopping to show us the wildlife. The nice thing is he doesn’t make things up if he doesn’t know and follows up
The evening cruise on the Chobe river was like a scene out of lion king. We rounded the corner and there were elephants buffalo, giraffes and hippos all on the wetlands. So amazing
All in all the trip was just great every moment. The hotels were all 5 star accommodations especially Sedia Hotel in Maun and also Nata Lodge in Makgadigadi
We were a small group of 6. 3 from my party and another couple from Colorado and a Swiss lady. - we enjoyed ourselves and got on like a house on fire.
One thing to note is that the meals provided were very diverse. We could choose where we wanted to have a meal - this made it really nice and all the restaurants recommendation was spot on
The other unique thing about Muza is his ability to anticipate the next step and keeping the team one step ahead. Like booking lin ch meals before checking in and getting our morning to go breakfast for a early start back to Vic Falls
I would highly recommend this tour company but most of all Muza as a tour guide
A big thank you to Simba too for getting my dad to the store to get batteries for his hearing aid whilst I was out glamping in the Okavango delta
Thanks all - u truly made this a magical experience

An unforgettable, seamless safari experience through Botswana’s incredible landscapes.
Africa Uncovered Safaris — Botswana Magic (July 2025)
I recently completed the 7-day Botswana Magic tour with Africa Uncovered Safaris and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, Archie was incredibly prompt and helpful in responding to my inquiry, which was especially appreciated as I was comparing nearly ten different tour operators. He quickly understood my preferences and helped me choose between two itineraries, with clear and timely communication throughout the booking process.
The itinerary itself was very well thought out and smoothly executed, offering a fantastic overview of Botswana’s natural highlights. The absolute highlight for me was the time spent in and around Chobe National Park — the evening river cruise was breathtaking and the game drives provided stunning photo opportunities thanks to the beautiful scenery and lighting. The guides from the various lodges were all excellent: knowledgeable, professional, and passionate.
On the ground, Muza led the trip and did a brilliant job handling logistics and driving. I felt safe and well cared for throughout. I was also accompanied by Nabi, a new member of the Africa Uncovered team on his familiarization trip, who was a wonderful companion on the game drives and bush walks, with a sharp eye for spotting wildlife. I wish him all the best in his new role.
Logistics were flawless: all transfers and accommodation check-ins were handled seamlessly and I barely had to think about a thing. The lodges were all clean and comfortable, with hot showers, good food (especially at Nata Lodge), and excellent bird-watching even on the lodge grounds. Importantly, although I was the only traveler on these dates — and the tour might not normally run with such low numbers — Archie and the team honored my booking without ever suggesting a cancellation or change, and I’m forever grateful for this. In the end, I enjoyed what was essentially a private tour, making the experience even more special.
What stood out most to me was the joy of seeing wildlife up close and learning about birds and nature from Muza, who shared stories and insights about local culture, wildlife, and history.
I really appreciated seeing such a variety of areas in Botswana — from the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans — and now I know that on my next visit, I’ll likely focus on one or two parks and spend even more time on game drives, which I especially enjoyed. Also, traveling in July is fantastic — cool, dry weather and few mosquitoes!
In short: I wish I could have stayed longer.
I would absolutely recommend Africa Uncovered Safaris to anyone considering a trip to Botswana and look forward to planning another safari adventure with them.

This tour exceeded all our expectations
We heard about Africa Uncovered from someone we met earlier in the year. From the moment we did, we knew we were in safe hands. Archie replied to all my requests almost instantly and always provided the answers plus additional information. And we were able to be adaptable with the length of the trip and what we wanted to do. We found the cost very competitive compared with other companies and what we hadn't fully appreciated was that it was all inclusive! So all our food, non alcoholic drinks and activities were included. So all we had to pay was tips to local guides and any alcoholic drinks we consumed.
The trip itself was a joy from start to finish. We were lucky enough to have Tafara as our guide. He tuned into us pretty soon after meeting us and understood that whilst we were very keen to see the wildlife up close, we also had an interest in the daily life of the people. He provided both in abundance as did any of the local guides we had. We were also impressed at the variety of activities. Obviously, we had a few safari drives but also boat trips and a visit to the astounding Victoria Falls. I was astounded at how close up we got to the animals without it ever feeling threatening for them. We also got to visit a small holding and talk to people there as we as visiting a couple of conservation projects. We opted for a night of camping in the Okavanga Delta - I'll never forget the serenity of being paddled through the small channels and the carpet of stars we were looking at.
We had a big vehicle all to ourselves so were able to spread out and Tafara was excellent at spotting wildlife from afar which enhanced any journey we went on as did his stories of everyday life in his village. The accommodation was all of a high quality as were the meals we had. All in all, it was the most wonderful of holidays and we can't thank everyone involved enough for making so many wonderful memories for us.
