Beyond our wildest expectations
The team at Kihindo Tours tailored our Safari experience to ensure we have an unforgettable time in Tanzania.
Our five days included:
• Boat tour along the Rufiji River (spectacular birds and reptiles)
• Full day at Nyerere National Park (epic landscapes and stunning wildlife around every corner)
• Bushwalk experience in Mwaseni (insightful guide with in-depth knowledge of Botanics)
• Full day at Mikumi National Park (breathtaking wildlife in open savanna, we even saw a leopard!!)
• Accommodation and food were of high standard, exceeded expectations which made this Safari excellent value for money.
The most lasting impression for us is left by our guide, Michael.
Michael is an exceptional human, truly dedicated and a joy to be around. As a guide, he is extremely knowledgeable and his enthusiasm and respect towards the wildlife is infectious. He is professional, always punctual and a highly skilled driver - on and off road! We have learned so much from Michael during our game drives and also really enjoyed our meals together, during which we were able to learn a bit more about Tanzania's culture and current affairs.
We cannot wait to come back and visit the other National Parks.

Perfect partner for your safari adventure
We (a family of two adults and two kids) booked the 4-Day/3-Night Budget Safari to Mikumi and Ruaha National Park, and I can highly recommend it.
What you get is a perfectly organized, unforgettable adventure led by a guide who feels more like a friend than just a guide. I’d like to especially highlight William, our guide, who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also a warm and talented host.
Ruaha National Park deserves special mention it’s stunning, diverse, and offers everything you could hope for in a safari, without the crowds or over-commercialization.

We had the great pleasure of being guided by Wiliam during our safari in Mikumi and the Ruaha River region, and we honestly could not have asked for a better guide. What truly set Wiliam apart, however, was his incredible knowledge and passion for nature. He had the rare gift of knowing when to speak and when to simply let us enjoy the silence and beauty of the surroundings, which made every moment feel special and authentic.
Beyond being an outstanding guide, Wiliam was also simply a wonderful person to spend time with. Kihindo Tours was truly the best, from booking to drop off. Winnie and team ensured we had all the information needed and organised the safari tour to run smoothly. We literally didnt have to lift a finger, we were taken from the hotel to train station and then train station to Mikumi for the safari. Saloniki was a great tour guide, cheerful and passionate! Was very knowledge about the animals, Mikumi and the surrounding national parks. Food was great, very fresh! Got to see giraffes, hippos, monkeys, elephants and lions!
