Great Lifetime Experience, thanks to Axis Africa Safaris.
We just returned from an unforgettable African Safari, and we have to give a huge shoutout to Axis Africa Safaris!!
Right from the very first planning discussions months ago, they were fantastic, especially Lucy Precious, who was our Tour Consultant. She is truly amazing - always quick to respond, full of great tips and advice, and her attention to detail made all the difference. When we visited their office in Nairobi, she and her Director, Cynthia Itambo welcomed us like family and made us feel so comfortable.
Our safari guide, Yasin Abdi, was excellent!!! His knowledge, patience, and passion for wildlife truly made our experience special. He went above and beyond to ensure we saw an incredible variety of animals, and we loved watching how he and the other guides/rangers worked together to share sightings. He never ceased to amaze us - with his keen eye constantly scanning the horizon and he could even spot a lion or cheetah relaxing under a tree or in a bush, from a distance!! He wouldn’t disclose what he had sighted until we came close to the gorgeous creatures, and then, we were just in awe!! Thanks to Yasin’s expertise, we not only saw the Big 5 and more, but also learned to appreciate the magic of nature and how animals instinctively respond to everything around them.
If you’re planning a safari in Kenya, we cannot recommend Axis Safaris enough and especially Lucy as your Consultant and Yasin as your Guide... This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are so grateful to the entire team for making it so smooth, exciting, and memorable!

Excellent safari with very knowledgable guide
This was a great safari with excellent value for money. For the price, the accommodation was really comfortable, the food good, and crucially we had a great amount of time in the parks leading to many animal sightings. Our guide, Musalga, was helpful and friendly and very knowledgable.

Amazing Safari with Rodgers from Axis Safari
We had an incredible 4-day safari in the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with Rodgers. He made the whole experience smooth, exciting, and unforgettable. Rodgers is not only very knowledgeable about wildlife but also very attentive to what we wanted to see. He always managed to find the best spots and gave us perfect views, which made every game drive special. His warm personality and professionalism made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide—highly recommended!

Unforgettable Safari with Rodgers – Highly Recommend!
I had the absolute pleasure of spending 4 days in the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with Rodgers from Axis Safari, and I can confidently say it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. From the very beginning, Rodgers went above and beyond to make sure every moment was special.
His deep knowledge of wildlife, incredible spotting skills, and passion for the animals and the land made the safaris truly unforgettable. What impressed me most was how attentive he was to our interests. As someone who loves photography, I was blown away by the way he positioned the vehicle perfectly to give me the best angles and lighting for capturing wildlife. Thanks to him, I was able to take some once-in-a-lifetime shots!
Rodgers’ warm personality, patience, and professionalism made the journey not only exciting but also very comfortable. He made sure everything was smooth and enjoyable, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Every day was full of memorable sightings, from majestic lions to graceful giraffes and so much more.

Unforgettable Safari Adventure with Axis Africa Safari and Rodgers: A Journey of a Lifetime!
We embarked on an incredible 6-day safari adventure with Axis Africa Safari, exploring the majestic landscapes of Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli. Our tour guide, Rodgers, was phenomenal - his expertise and knowledge of the routes, animals, and ecosystems were truly impressive. With his top-notch driving skills, we navigated the wilderness with ease, spotting an incredible array of wildlife, including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo) and a plethora of other fascinating creatures like giraffes, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, ostriches, and zebras.
Rodgers passion for wildlife and conservation shone through in his detailed explanations and insightful commentary, making our safari experience truly unforgettable. His punctuality and professionalism ensured that our schedule was always on track, allowing us to make the most of our time in these incredible national parks.

Nelson (Simba) and Lucy absolutely fantastic!
Our safari with Axis was nothing short of unforgettable, and we owe it all to the incredible team who made it possible.
From the very start, Lucy at head office went above and beyond to help us plan what truly became the trip of a lifetime. She was endlessly patient, kind, and accommodating, answering every one of our questions and helping us navigate multiple changes to our plans with such grace. Thanks to her support, we felt completely at ease and confident that everything would run smoothly – and it absolutely did.
And then there was Nelson (Simba), our guide – the heart and soul of our safari experience. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Not only was he exceptionally knowledgeable about the wildlife and environment, but he was also a joy to spend time with – warm, engaging, and full of stories that brought the bush to life. His talent for spotting animals that no one else could see was nothing short of magical. We nicknamed him “Eagle Eye Simba”, and it was thanks to him that we had some of the most extraordinary encounters, with ALL the big 5, we’ll never forget!
Together, Lucy and Simba made our safari extraordinary. Their passion, expertise, and genuine care turned our journey into something far beyond just a holiday – it was an experience we will carry with us forever.

A memory of a lifetime
Axis Africa were all we could hope for and more. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and 2 weeks before flying out a different tour operator cancelled on us, thats when Axis Safari stepped in and saved the day.
We gave them the itinery of our previous safari that was similar to ours and they made sure we got all the same accomodation and all our extra experiences that we had previously booked.
Then it came to the actual safari after our arrival in Kenya and meeting for the first time who would affectionately be called by our group, Special K, but for review purposes so he gets all the credit he deserves we'll call him his real name of Kevin!
It was a long drive to the Masai Mara, but after a brief stop at the accomodation we got out on our first game drive. Kevin seemed to know everyone and have all the connections because on that first game drive we managed to see 3 of the big 5, lions, elephants and sadly an unfortunate buffalo caught by the lions we saw! The other game drives didnt disappoint as we ticked off the rest of the big 5 and so much more including a cheetah, Kevin went the extra mile at every point, making sure we got the best view of the animals, if we needed a bit of extra time for a photo stop, he gave us all the time we needed and never made us feel rushed at any point so we could fully take in and enjoy the experience.
With this atmosphere Kevin created it helped us to really bond as a group and we really had an amazing time not only with experiencing our first ever safari, but the people we had the priviledge of sharing the journey with.
With the added experiences the Masai Village was really great as we got to learn about the culture of the Masai people. The balloon safari was also an incredible experience, we were able to take in the vastness of the Masai Mara and it was amazing to see the animals from above roaming and running across the land. It really enhanced the experience of the full safari.
The Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru were different in the landscape but both in their own way beautiful places to visit. From the vastness of the Masai Mara, to the rich green savannah woodland of Lake Nakuru it was great to in person experience these areas of Kenya.
Thank you to Axis Safaris and in particular to Kevin. Kevin met and exceeded expectations of what we had hoped for from this trip, his kindness, his knowledge and passion for his work was infectious and truly made this a memory of a lifetime.
