Very professional organization and a top experience
We went on a 6 days safari to Masai Mara, lake Nakuru and Amboseli. It was a wonderful experience, though next time I would choose only to do Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru due to the very long transport to Amboseli.
The first 4 days we spent with the tour guide John Mwangi and he is an excellent guide, very friendly, serviceminded and knowledgeable. We had a great time with him and learned a lot about the wildlife.
We had a very contact with Axis before and after the booking. All questions were with in a rapid and professional way.

Trustworthy
We had an amazing safari experience with Axis Africa, and a part of what made the trip so special was our tour guide, Charles.
From the beginning, Charles was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. His knowledge of the wildlife, nature, and local surroundings made the safari even more fascinating. He was also patient and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience, especially when it came to spotting and getting great views of the animals.
Everything was organized, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the entire safari. Charles truly made us feel comfortable and turned the trip into a memorable adventure.
Thank you, Axis Africa and Charles, for a great safari experience! 🦁🐘🦒❤️

Very good safari experience overall
We had a very good safari experience overall, and we would especially like to highlight our driver, Ben. He was extremely professional, punctual and clearly very experienced. It was also clear that he genuinely enjoys his job and takes pride in what he does.
In just two days of safari, we were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Ben is also a very good photographer and kindly shared the photos he took with us at the end of the safari. This was a lovely extra and something we really appreciated.
Ben was consistently punctual and always respected the schedules and timings that had been communicated to us, which made the whole experience very smooth and well organised. His driving skills were also excellent, and we always felt safe and comfortable during the game drives.
There are, however, a couple of areas that we think could be improved. The main one is the guiding and communication. The driver-guide was not particularly communicative and did not spontaneously provide much information about the animals, their behaviour or the ecosystem. When we asked questions, he was happy to answer and provided useful information, but the experience was more that of having an experienced driver who knows the park very well than having a traditional safari guide who actively explains what you are seeing throughout the game drive. For us, this was the main difference.
We would also like to mention the pressure placed on drivers regarding reviews. We had the impression that drivers are under quite a lot of pressure to obtain positive reviews from clients, and this made us feel somewhat uncomfortable. We completely understand that reviews are important to a company, but we believe this could be handled more carefully by the management of Axis Africa Safari. Drivers should not feel that they have to put pressure on clients to leave a review, particularly a positive one. We believe that allowing reviews to happen naturally would make the experience more relaxed and enjoyable for both clients and drivers.
Overall, we had a positive experience and are especially grateful to Ben for his professionalism, excellent driving skills, punctuality and for helping us have such a successful safari. Seeing the Big Five in just two days was an unforgettable experience, and Ben played an important role in making it possible.

Overall good tour
Pros:
-great guide (Saddam)
-car not packed, so easy to shuffle around
-Saddam went extra mile to get jacket
Cons:
-Lake naivasha boat not included: what’s the point of including lake if need to pay extra? note: they’re transparent about this.
-mediocre lunches, limited variety, and not suitable for all diets
-not transparent about Hell’s Gate pricing. Needed to pay extra 15$ at gate
Great experience !
This safari was amazing! I’m honestly at a loss for words when it comes to the Masai Mara — it’s definitely a must-do when visiting Kenya.
Peter Elohim, our guide, was great! We had such a good time with him, and I 100% recommend him!!
However, we would have appreciated it if the agency had been more specific and transparent about Amboseli National Park. They should have given us more information beforehand so that we could have made a more informed choice. Had we known, we would have skipped Amboseli and opted for a 4–5 day safari instead.
In our opinion, 3 days in the Masai Mara and 2 days in Nakuru would have been perfect!
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we will cherish the memories of this safari for a long time.

Book a Safari with Mohamed as your driver
I found Axis through this very page, and I want to share my experience to help others know what to expect. After receiving several quotes, I chose Axis because they were extremely helpful in answering all my questions for our first safari and very flexible in adapting to our needs. I also really appreciated how upfront they were regarding pricing and options.
Once in Kenya, we were lucky to have Mohamed as our driver. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he shared so many interesting facts about the savannah and its wildlife. Thanks to his dedication, we managed to see the Big Five across Masai Mara and Amboseli!
The only downside occurred on our first day: our booked lodge was unavailable, and we were initially placed in an alternative option that fell short of our expectations. After some back-and-forth, we were moved to our original lodge and received a partial refund for the inconvenience. While I believe the company should have upgraded us instead of downgrading in that situation (putting customer experience over cost), the overall trip was still wonderful. I would still recommend Axis, especially if you get Mohamed as your guide!

Very good organization
Jackson, our guide, was incredible, always attentive to everything. We had a health issue, and he was always by our side. He went out of his way to accommodate the entire group and our specific needs throughout the safari. We were able to see the Big Five up close thanks to his expertise. The hotels could be improved, and the food was quite average.

Good organization
The guide (Jackson) was exceptional; he was always looking out for us and helped us see the Big Five and many other animals. The hotels were just okay, and the food was also very mediocre.

Well organized, priority to customer and quality over budget
We went for a 6 days budget trip (masai mara, nakuru, amboseli) + 1 day trip to Nairobi NP.
The travel: the car was comfortable with enough space for all the people joning. We spent of course lot of hours in the car, but the stops where planned perfectly.
The parks: there are no words to describe the parks we visited, we were able to see almost all the animals and the great migration. Even if the animals repeats, it's never boring and the landscape changes every time.
The lodges: this was the point that i was afraid of when i looked for the lodges on internet, but as soon as we stepped into the lodges I've find out that they were completely over the expectations and actually very clean, cool, and the food was all right! We've been in the Wild Nest Camp, which i think was better than the one initially on the options (lenchada) at masai mara, buraha zenoni at nakuru, and Manjaro Eco camp at Amboseli. I would like to spend a few for this last camp, the manjaro eco camp, because it was very very far away from a budget camp, the food was very good but the thing that we didn't expected was that we saw animals and had the chance to do some walking outside the camp (and we saw elephants, giraffes and others!), with a stunning view of the kilimanjaro. Peter, the manager, knew how to deal with tourists.
The guides: Andrew was our guide for masai mara and Nakuru, very thanks to him because he always tried his best to make us watch animals from a close distance and the great migration.
Then we changed car and we met Amos, a very expert guide always ready to provide us informations about the parks and the animals. Moreover he has a very safe drive which is rare in kenya. Thank to you too!
The company: i definetly suggest Axis for your safari trip in Kenya, they will provide you the best experience.
Why 4 stars: the only reason i give four stars instead of five is because of the itinerary. In my opinion it should be mentioned that most of the chances to see the cats are at Masai Mara, so it would have been better to do the trip in the opposite way, or focus the masai mara experience on the cats since the other animals are a lot also in the other parks. Also, we went to naivasha for the boat ride, which is very good, but if we only knew that it was such good we wanted for sure to do the walk. I think that with those 2 points fixed it would have been perfect.
Anyway it's a very positive experience that we will never forget. Thanks to Axis and all the team.
See you
