Incredible adventure - Hakuna Matata
Our 3-day Masai Mara safari was absolutely incredible from start to finish! Our guide -Peter Ndungu was simply outstanding - incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and always happy to share fascinating stories and insights about the animals and the Mara. He was also a fantastic driver, navigating the roads with great skill and making us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the trip.
My friend and I felt very well looked after from the very first moment. Nothing was too much trouble, and our guide really went the extra mile to make the experience special. And the best part - we saw everything we had dreamed of seeing!
Every game drive brought something exciting, and we came home with amazing memories and so many incredible photos

Memorable Masai Mara
Our 3 days Masai Mara Safari had been incredible. And the man behind this incredible show was our guide and driver Saddam and Vooh. He made the best use of our time and his expertise to spot the big 5 besides other animals and made us feel the breathtaking Masai Mara at its best. Our trip was organized by Axis Africa Safari. I must praise this company for their well organized arrangements and our stay in Mara Chui Resort was also highly satisfactory. I will certainly recommend Axis Africa Safari and Saddam to my friends and families interested in experiencing safaries in Kenya.

Our Maasai Mara trip was truly an unforgettable experience, and a huge part of that credit goes to our wonderful driver and guide, Saddam.
From the beginning, Saddam was extremely friendly, supportive, and professional. He was especially wonderful with my 7-year-old son, making him feel comfortable and keeping him engaged throughout the journey. His friendly nature and positive attitude made us feel like we were travelling with someone we had known for a long time.
Saddam is very knowledgeable and understands the Maasai Mara incredibly well. He is also well connected with other guides in the reserve, which made a big difference during our game drives. We were extremely lucky to see lions, a group of lionesses, lion cubs, a leopard, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and many more beautiful animals.
What impressed me the most was his ability to spot wildlife and understand exactly where to take us. At times, I was genuinely amazed at how he could identify the exact location and get us there at the right moment. Thanks to his experience and efforts, I was able to capture some of the best photographs and videos of our entire trip.
The driving was smooth, the journey was comfortable, and every game drive was exciting. Saddam was always patient, supportive, and willing to make the extra effort to give us the best possible experience.
I must say, Saddam is one of the best guides you could have for a Maasai Mara safari.
Thank you Axis Africa for assigning him for our trip. He made our family trip truly special and turned it into a lifetime experience that we will always remember.

An Unforgettable Safari with the Best Guide, Peter
This was my second time meeting Peter Kapino, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had him as my guide again. After spending more time with him on safari, I can honestly say that he is the best guide I have met during my trip in Kenya.
Peter is extremely professional, experienced, patient and knowledgeable about wildlife. He knows the area very well and always seemed to understand where the animals might appear. Thanks to his experience and effort, we managed to see almost all of the iconic animals that I had hoped to see during the safari. He never rushed us and always gave us enough time to observe the animals, enjoy the scenery and take photos.
What impressed me most was how dedicated he was throughout the whole trip. He was always attentive, friendly and willing to help, and he made the long game drives enjoyable and comfortable. You can really tell that he knows and loves his work.
The highlight of the entire safari came on the final day, when we were incredibly lucky to witness the wildebeest crossing the river. It was something I had really hoped to see, but I knew there was never any guarantee because wildlife is unpredictable. Being able to experience such an unforgettable moment at the very end of the trip made the safari even more special.
I am extremely grateful to Peter for giving us such a memorable experience. If I come back to Kenya for another safari in the future, I would absolutely be happy to travel with him again. I highly recommend Peter Kapino and Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris to anyone who wants an unforgettable safari experience in Kenya.

I would like to thank Axis Safaris for an amazing and wonderful time. I would like to specially thank our guide and now trustworthy friend called Amos from Axis Safaris. He has been very friendly and super passionate as a guide and is very knowledgeable in the field and in what he does as a safari guide. He understands and masters animal behaviors thanks to the master degree he holds in tourism.
Overall I would rate this as the best safari I have ever did in Kenya.

We booked our Kenya safari from India, and choosing Axis Africa was easily one of the best decisions we made. From the very beginning, their coordination was seamless. They picked us up from our stay, kept everything well organised, and made the entire experience completely stress-free.
A special mention has to go to Raymond, our safari guide and driver. We were incredibly lucky to spot the Big Five within the first five hours, but honestly, I believe Raymond’s experience played a huge part in it. With 16 years of experience, his knowledge of the Mara, animals and their behaviour was impressive. He knew exactly where to go, was extremely patient, and always made sure we had the best possible view without rushing us. His passion and expertise genuinely made the safari unforgettable.
Another amazing surprise was the complimentary upgrade from a 4-star to a 5-star stay. Our stay at Jambo Mara was fantastic — the hospitality, location and overall experience were excellent, and the food at the lodge was great.
If I had one small suggestion, it would be to improve the food options during the longer travel journeys. Apart from that, everything was exceptionally well managed.
Highly recommend Axis Africa, especially if you want a reliable local operator with an excellent safari team. You won’t regret booking with them!

Professional, well organised and friendly
it has long been a dream of my aunt to visit Kenya so we were concerned that our trip would not meet her expectations, however they were exceeded so i decided to write a review
From the initial communication the planning of the safari was excellent from start to finish, with every detail carefully organised to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Communication throughout the process was outstanding, and Lucy was exceptional in keeping us informed, responding promptly to questions, and providing clear, helpful guidance at every stage. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and proactive approach gave us complete confidence in the arrangements, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable long before the safari even began.
The day before the Safari began Lucy contacted me to confirm pickup time then shortly after our Driver, Yassin, contacted me to confirm and also provide his contact number should we have any concerns. On the first morning Yassin met us at the agreed time and took us to the office where we met with Lucy who explained the program for the Safari and answered any questions.
Our safari experience was made truly unforgettable thanks to Yassin, whose expertise, dedication, and passion for wildlife were evident throughout the trip. From the very beginning, he demonstrated an outstanding knowledge of the parks, animal behaviour, and local environment, ensuring that every game drive was both exciting and informative.
One of Yassin's most impressive achievements was his ability to locate all of the Big Five. Through his experience, contacts, and deep understanding of animal movements, we were fortunate enough to see lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo during our safari. His determination and patience were remarkable, and it was clear that he took great pride in providing the best possible wildlife viewing opportunities for the group.
What truly set Yassin apart, however, was his ability to understand the needs and interests of everyone in the group. He quickly recognised that each guest had different priorities, whether that was photography, bird watching, spending more time observing particular animals, or simply enjoying the overall safari experience. He listened carefully to our preferences and adapted the itinerary accordingly, ensuring that everyone felt included and got the most from the trip.
Yassin's flexibility was exceptional. Rather than rigidly following a fixed schedule, he adjusted game drive routes and timings based on wildlife sightings, weather conditions, and the group's interests. This personalised approach meant that every day felt unique and carefully tailored to maximise both wildlife encounters and guest enjoyment. His decisions consistently resulted in memorable experiences that exceeded our expectations.
Yassin consistently went above and beyond to ensure that my elderly aunts were comfortable throughout the safari. He carefully coordinated with each lodge to secure accommodation that was conveniently located close to the main facilities, minimizing the amount of walking required and making it much easier for them to enjoy their stay. This level of care and consideration provided great peace of mind for the family and demonstrated Yassin's genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional and inclusive safari experience for us
Throughout the safari, Yassin maintained a perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. He was always approachable, happy to answer questions, and eager to share fascinating information about the animals, ecosystems, and local culture. His enthusiasm was contagious and added tremendous value to every outing. Whether explaining animal behaviour, identifying birds, or discussing conservation efforts, he displayed an impressive depth of knowledge that enhanced our appreciation of the environment around us.

From the very beginning, everything was well coordinated. They picked us up from our stay and arranged Raymond as our safari guide and driver. Within the first 5 hours of our safari, we spotted the Big Five! 🦁🐘🐆🦏🐃
Call it luck, or call it Raymond’s incredible experience and his 16 years of experience really showed. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, knew exactly where to look, and always made sure we got the best possible view, especially of the rarer animals.
And to top it all off, Axis Africa upgraded our stay from a 4-star to a 5-star property at no extra cost! Our stay at Jambo Mara was great the food was better, and the overall experience was truly memorable.
