Unforgettable 3-Day Safari with Akondo Adventures
We enjoyed a three-day luxury safari with Akondo Adventures, an experience that exceeded all expectations in terms of quality, organization, and attention to detail. The value for money was excellent: everything was carefully planned, from the transfers to the wonderful lodge to the perfectly balanced itinerary between Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara.
The 4x4 vehicle was extremely comfortable, equipped with fresh water and a full selection of drinks always available, making every journey pleasant and relaxing. Our guide Ricky was friendly, knowledgeable, and gifted with exceptional eyesight for spotting animals. Thanks to him, we were also lucky enough to spot a rhino, a rare and emotional moment.
During the trip, I celebrated my birthday, and the Akondo Adventures team made the evening at the lodge truly special: a thoughtfully organized surprise, with songs, cake, and an atmosphere that made this day absolutely unforgettable.
We were completely satisfied, and if we were to organize another safari, we would have no hesitation in choosing Boris and Ricky from Akondo Adventures again.

3 Day Serengeti Safari with Balloon
What an incredible experience.
This was our first safari and Akondo made it truly special.
Boris was extremely helpful and prompt with the whole booking process. I had numerous questions about the experience and he was quick to respond and also provided pictures so we knew what to expect. It also helped we communicated via WhatsApp so any last minute questions he could answer.
Our tour guide was David, he was phenomenal. David was clearly very experienced with the Serengeti and managed to find all the animals we wanted to see and allowed us to get some really great photos. He also provided a delicious lunch in which we ate under the tree in the national park.
We chose to stay in the Moyo tents which were clean, spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The tents included separate bathroom esq areas so you could shower and use the toilet when needed.
The vehicle was a large 4x4 in which had an adjustable roof so you can stand whilst driving which was an amazing experience.
Overall, I can’t express how good of a trip Akondo made our safari. Would highly recommend.

Efficient, responsive and easy communication, great safari
We did the chimpanzee trekking in Gombe and booked it with Akondo. Boris was very responsive and accommodating. The overall experience was excellent. We had a great time at the mbali mbali lodge in Gombe, we did 2 trekking despite one night on site as per our request.
Everything went really smooth, transport, lodging, food and trekking. We really recommend Gombe and recommend Akondo to book it for you. Excellent value for money.

Simply amazing, truly unforgettable
We booked a two-day luxury honeymoon safari from Zanzibar to Tarangire and Ngorongoro with Akondo Adventures, and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
The booking process was super easy and Boris organised everything perfectly and gave us all the details we needed. Unfortunately there is an additional charge for card payment which meant an overall higher cost, but not a big issue. We were collected from our hotel in Zanzibar, took a short flight to Arusha, and were met by our amazing guide Richard, who looked after us for the full two days.
Richard was an excellent driver with immense knowledge of wildlife, birds, and plants. He spoke perfect English. He made sure we always had plenty of time for photos and did everything possible to help us spot as many animals as we could. The highlight for us was seeing a black rhino in Ngorongoro and witnessing two ostriches mating up close, quite the spectacle! We also saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, cougars, and so, so much more. He taught us so much about the Maasai people and life in Tanzania, and was such a pleasure to spend time with.
The hot picnic lunches were delicious, a tasty curry with side dishes, plus a selection of drinks. Richard made sure we were always comfortable and could stop for the WC whenever needed.
Our overnight stay at Escarpment Luxury Lodge was very special. The setting was breathtaking, the staff were so kind and attentive, and our lodge suite with its freestanding bath was stunning. The food was top-notch, and the evening Maasai entertainment made it even more special, the whole atmosphere was unforgettable.
This trip truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, yet we already want to come back to explore the Serengeti and luxury camping safari next time, and we wouldn’t choose anyone other than Akondo Adventures to guide us again!

They arranged everything for us (transfer to one accomodation to another), they picked us from our hotel in Arusha and made our safari very comfortable and tailored for our needs and desires. Our very kind guide, Richard, informed us about the wild life, he asked us what was important for us and he made the possible and beyond to allow us to see the big 5 (and we did!also the rhino that is very rare to see). At the same time we were very safe for the whole time.
The accomodations were very beautiful with good food and they were careful about food allergies. We slept surrounded by buffalos and other animals.

Very efficient company that listened to our needs.
We had a great experience with Akondo Adventures. Richard, our guide, was very good and managed to show us all big 5 animals! We know it isn’t easy to see rhinos, but we did! The accommodations were all great. They do not have WiFi in the rooms though. I wasn’t sure about the food since I wear braces, but it was really good everywhere. Highly recommend!
