Excellent planning made for a magical trip
Shemeji Safari organised a private eight-day safari tour in Tanzania (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti) followed up by four days on Zanzibar for our group of four people. It was a magical experience that we thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish!
Accommodation: Although we selected medium lodges and tented encampments, the accommodation was of an extremely high standard. We were particularly delighted with our two nights at the new Kogatende lodge and the Lake Manyara Escarpment. The Reef and Beach Resort in Zanzibar also really exceeded our expectations! Staff were friendly and obliging. All lodges were equipped with free water, comfortable beds, good private bathrooms. Food was also good and varied.
Guide and vehicle: Our guide was Emanuel Sheremi and we were very pleased with his services. Knowledgeable about the animals, answered all our questions about the wildlife and Tanzania, good driving skills, willingness to alter start times to suit our needs and a very nice person! Thanks Manu for everything! The vehicle was good; it got us everywhere we needed to go!
Shemeji: Our agent Anastasiia and the rest of the Shemeji team were also very obliging and communicated well. One of our concerns was the fact that some members of our groups were seniors and not very mobile; Anastasiia helped alter the itinerary to best cater for their needs, such as flying to Zanzibar from Seronera rather than Arusha. This helped ensure a much more positive experience for all. Thanks Anastasiia!

An unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania
We had a wonderful and unforgettable safari experience with Shemeji Safari. Our guides, Bonny and Laswai, were amazing: attentive, kind and very knowledgeable. They were always teaching us about the animals, the environment and Tanzania, which made the whole experience even more special.
The accommodations were excellent, always clean and comfortable. We also felt very safe, even when staying in places surrounded by wildlife, which was an incredible experience in itself. The food was also very good.
Everything was well organized and we felt very well taken care of throughout the safari. We are leaving Tanzania with wonderful memories and a much deeper appreciation for its wildlife, nature and people. We would definitely recommend Shemeji Safari!

Dreams come true
The tour is fantastic and the company is reliable and super well-organized. we stayed in comfy 'glampings', super good food, accommodations and shower. Our drivers Bonny and Laswai were amazing, kind and extremely good at spotting wildlife. We got it all: more than 20 lions along the days, rhinos, cheetas, leopard, zillions of zebras, hippos, antelopes, elephants and giraffes! I was living a dream! Just go for it!

An unforgettable journey through Tanzania and Zanzibar
Our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable experience. From the beginning, we felt very well looked after and supported by the team.
A special thank you goes to Diana Kibwe, our travel specialist. She was always friendly, helpful and approachable, and whenever we had a question or a problem, she responded quickly and found a solution. This gave us a great feeling of security throughout the trip.
Our safari was one of the highlights of the entire journey. The organisation worked very well, the itinerary was varied and we had many unforgettable wildlife experiences. Our driver-guide was knowledgeable, friendly and always tried to make the best possible experience for us. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many other animals, and the landscapes of the Serengeti and the other parks were simply spectacular.
The combination of safari in Tanzania and several days in Zanzibar was perfect for us. After the exciting and sometimes exhausting safari days, Zanzibar was the ideal place to relax and enjoy the Indian Ocean.
We also appreciated how quickly the team reacted when we had some problems with our first room at Paradise Beach Resort. Diana took our concerns seriously and arranged a room change very quickly. The second room was much better and showed us that the team genuinely cared about our experience.
Overall, we are extremely happy with our trip. We came home with fantastic memories and more than 2,000 photos that will remind us of this special journey for many years to come.
A big thank you to Diana and the entire team for organising such a wonderful trip for us. We would highly recommend them to anyone planning a safari and Zanzibar holiday in Tanzania.

Great Experience with a great guide and excellent lodges
We started our experience with the pick-up by our guide Abdul. After providing us with initial information, we headed towards the first park and were able to get a little more sleep before the actual safari started. Abdul had great communication skills, knowing when to explain things and when to just let us enjoy the environment. We always knew before what to expect of the day and the housing, which made the experience even better. The lodges in the parks were amazing, the staff was always friendly, the food was excellent including the food provided for lunch during the tour. We were lucky to see almost all sort of animals including in huge groups. All in all, an amazing experience with great people during the entire trip.

A Once-in- a-Lifetime Extraordinary Safari Experience in Tanzania
Our private 6-day safari through the Serengeti and Tanzania's incredible conservation parks was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and a touch of magic that made each day unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, our guide greeted us warmly and immediately made us feel safe and welcome. His deep knowledge of wildlife, local culture, and the environment enriched every drive. He seemed to have a sixth sense for finding animals — we saw the Big Five, countless herds of wildebeest during the migration, a graceful leopard on the hunt, and even a pride of lions basking in the sunshine. The Serengeti was beyond words - vast golden plains alive with movement, from zebras, elephants, buffalo, impalas and giraffes to name a few. Hippos was big on my list and our guide knew where all the hippo pools were so I was well and truly blessed. Our luxury lodges and tented camps were exceptional. Every evening we returned to warm hospitality, delicious meals, and breathtaking views of the African sunset across the savannah. The blend of comfort and adventure was perfectly balanced — hot showers and cozy beds after a day of thrilling game drives made all the difference. What truly stood out was the personal touch I received from Neema Thomas, the safari adviser from Shemeji Safari’s who I was in touch with for 18 months, fine tuning this incredible experience and she was extremely responsive throughout the whole journey from my first enquiry to our last safari day. Because of Neema and our guide, every moment felt thoughtfully curated and deeply authentic so coupled with the luxury accommodation and the personal touches, this trip was without a doubt good value for money. If you've ever dreamed of an African safari, do it - and do it privately. Great Experience
The safari was a great experience. The process went smoothly. The accommodations were always very clean and the staff super friendly and accommodating. The food was also very good. Our driver was great, could speak good English and explained a lot to us. Overall it was a great unforgettable experience.
