Don't trust Greg Adventures
1/5

If you are thinking about booking a Safari Tour, you should avoid booking with Greg Adventures as they are irresponsible. We went on a safari tour with them and we had an accident. Greg denied any responsibility even if it was his driver and his vehicle. This outfit is not reliable. So be very careful before you book a tour with them. You might be in trouble if you do so. I would suggest you book with another tour operator.

Amazing operator for Kilimandscharo Hikes!
5/5

We cannot recommend Greg Adventures highly enough! Our 6-day Kilimanjaro trek was perfectly organized from start to finish and offered outstanding value for money.

Our guides were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and motivating. Throughout the trek, they shared so much interesting information about Kilimanjaro, its flora and fauna, and the local culture. They genuinely cared about our well-being and safety every single day, and you could tell they wanted everyone in the group to have the best possible experience.

A special thank you also goes to our chef—the food was absolutely delicious and honestly better than some of the meals we had before and after the trek. Every member of the team, including the porters, was kind, hardworking, and always smiling. The positive atmosphere they created made this adventure even more special.

Thanks to their excellent guidance, careful attention to acclimatization, and constant encouragement, we successfully reached the summit while feeling safe and well looked after throughout the entire climb.

What we especially appreciated was supporting a smaller local company. By choosing Greg Adventures, you’re directly supporting a dedicated local team while receiving a very personal, high-quality experience.

Thank you to everyone at Greg Adventures for an unforgettable adventure. If you’re planning to climb Kilimanjaro, we wholeheartedly recommend booking with them—we would choose them again without hesitation!

Bad experience with Greg Adventures
1/5

We were scheduled on a 3 days safari tour with Greg Adventures.

On May 19, 2026, while exiting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the safari vehicle suffered a mechanical failure, causing a delay of over two hours. Despite clear concerns regarding roadworthiness, the vehicle was not replaced.

Later that same day, while traveling within the Serengeti National Park, the vehicle lost control and overturned.

As a result:

Two passengers sustained significant injuries, including:

Deep lacerations requiring more than 20 stitches

Three fractured ribs and head injury

All passengers were exposed to significant risk and experienced trauma as a result of the accident

Following the accident, the driver:

Failed to assess or verify the condition of passengers

Failed to provide or offer first aid

Failed to activate timely emergency response procedures

Passengers were forced to administer emergency care themselves, including controlling severe bleeding, until rangers and ambulance services arrived approximately two hours later.

No effective use of basic safety equipment or emergency preparedness measures was observed.

These failures constitute, in our view, a serious breach of the duty of care expected of a licensed safari operator.

As a direct consequence of the incident:

The safari was terminated at the end of the first day, and services were not delivered (accommodation, meals, etc.).

Injured passengers required urgent medical treatment and were unable to continue travel. Therefore, it was not possible to travel the following day to reach an alternative accommodation.

Due to the remote location and late hour, we incurred unavoidable accommodation costs (USD $500 per room for the first night and $750 USD for the second night), in addition to medical and related expenses.

The police report contains material inaccuracies, including:

Incorrect date of the accident

Incorrect number of passengers

Mischaracterization of injuries as "minor"

Passenger statements were not collected, and the report appears to rely solely on the driver's account

These issues raise concerns regarding accuracy, transparency, and proper incident documentation.

So be aware of this incident before booking a safari tour with Greg Adventures.

Bad bad experience with Greg Adventures
1/5

We were scheduled for a 3 day safari with Greg Adventures but at the end of the first day, the vehicle we were in filed on its side and two of the 6 passengers were injured and needed stitches. The driver never helps in any way. He was too interested to erase the name of Greg Adventures from the side of the vehicle. In addition Greg adventures denies any responsibility. This outfit is unreliable and should not be trusted if anything should happen during your safari.

Professional and friendly
5/5

Greg company was professional, and provided all that we expected, even a bit more. Good and experiences guides (Abdi and Abdul), who were also friendly and good company, and with whom we exchanged many stories and conversations. We were treated very well. We (newly weds) did Marangu route, 6 days, it was hard but still a worthty life experience, and we are happy we did it.

Great 2-day safari to Nyerere National Parc
5/5

We experienced a great 2-day safari in Nyerere National Parc. The diversified program was very well organized (by Greg Adventures) containing 45 Min flights from/to Zanzibar airport, a whole day game drive, breakfast & lunch in the bush, delicious dinner & over night stay in the very nice Nyerere tented camp, early morning walking safari, boat safari and Massai Boma visit. During the whole safari trip our very friendly, engaged and competent guide Bugusa accompanied us and made us feel comfortable. Doing all the activities only by our family was an exclusive experience!

Outstanding days in Nyerere National Park
5/5

We booked a 4-day tour from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park and back. From our first contact with Renatus to our return to Zanzibar, everything was perfectly organized by Greg Adventures.
Our guide Bugusa was absolutely fantastic – there was nothing he couldn't explain, and he has an incredible talent for positioning the car at just the right angle to the animals so that you can observe everything up close. We are happy and grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him!

The biodiversity in Nyerere National Park is extraordinary, so even several days there regularly offer something new. Whether in the dry savannah or on the Rufiji River, whether large or small animals, there was always something exciting to see and learn. In addition to the numerous and magical animal sightings, we also massively enjoyed interacting with Bugusa and his lovely trainee and many other guides and young professionals. Setting the table together after a game drive in the bush and eating our delicious lunch was an experience we will never forget.

We can recommend the tour operator without exception and will always plan with Greg Adventures again ourselves.
Thank you so, so much!

Amazing Safari at Nyerere National Park
5/5

I wanted to thank Greg Adventures for the amazing organization of our 3 day safari to Nyerere National Park! 😊 Everything went perfectly — from the smooth pickup and flight to the safari itself. Our guide, Bogusa, did an absolutely fantastic job! He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, nature, and the park, and his passion for wildlife made the experience even more special.

Our stay at Nyerere Tented Camp was also wonderful — comfortable, beautifully located, and offering great service. We felt well taken care of throughout the entire trip and could simply relax and enjoy the adventure.

Thank you, Greg Adventures, for such a memorable and well-organized safari. Highly recommended!
