Nice but improvable value for money
Good-meaning agency, especially Silence who took a lot of care of us pre-departure, and we went during the green season
Overall a few critical points we observed:
1. the list of payed add-ons has low value for money, and we believe it catered specifically to a particular type of (red, white & blue) tourists
2. We don’t understand why so many meals were excluded: they could add it on top of the Safari package price for an additional +10% difference, a risk we feel not worth the major extra bother of autonomy imposed onto the customers itself.
3. WhatsApp comms with the agency didn’t work while on tour, relied on agency guide on tour (when available). Had to arrange to a cab ourselves go for dinner in VFalls, owing to miscommunication.
4. Little proactivity from agency guide on tour, available mainly when prompted, clarity with briefing can improve significantly.
5. Overall, it’s quite poor in terms of game drives, we added 2 extra bringing the total to 4 drives, to extract maximum wildlife exposure time. The game drives plan per se needs revisiting, as they planned a jeopardisingly-late departure at 8am instead of common practice ~5.30-6am for a morning game drive. We also felt that 2 days in VFalls were too many as we only cared for the falls there.
6. On the bright side, the Hwange Safari Lodge accommodation was magnificent and highly recommended for a stay, and the last-mile guides (on game drives, at the falls, on the Zambezi cruise) were very well prepared, kind and available.

excellent tour operator
Oscar and his team from Zambezi Expedition took exceptional care of us throughout our 8-day journey across Botswana. We made several last-minute requests, including additional safari game drives in Chobe National Park and changing one day from the Okavango Delta to the Moremi Game Reserve. Even though we asked for these changes only one day in advance, everything was handled flawlessly and helped make our dream safari a reality.
All safari guides and drivers were extremely kind, professional, and knowledgeable, and they did a fantastic job throughout the entire trip.

efficiient
Stuart Rice was helpful and had excellent communication skills , he helped us with our safari arrangements, the light aircraft flight and camp bookings at Nyamtusi Mahogany.
The camp we stayed in was excellent, as were the guides and game viewing by vehicle, foot and canoe, it was more expensive than some of the other options in Mana pools, but without staying else where, it;s was hard to comment if it was value for money. I would say that we were advised to stay somewhere with a pool as the temperatures were in the 30's , however we didn't use our own private plunge pool or the pool in the main area, so I think that the extra money it cost, wasnt worth it. The camp were very accommodating with dietary requirements and the food was always very good. Our guide Nomsa was excellent, enthusiastic and knowledgeable , We saw Lions, Buffalo, wild dogs, zebras, hippo, elephants, Kadu, waterbuck, impala, elan, crocodile , leopard, wart hog, various birds and a terrapin.

The organizer kept me safe all the time, the service was excellent and the valur for money outstanding. Zambezi Expeditions is a very reliable company. The tour ( Victoria Falls, Chobe, Elephants Sand, Okavango) was fantastic, perhaps a I would reduce the amount of time in Elephants Sand and add Sabuti. The flexibility of the firm to adapt to unpredicted requests is impressive. Please, go ahead and support the local industries, book with locals, respect locals, trust locals… you will give meaning to your Safari and find identity beyond tourism

Excellent trip
We’ve booked a 2 day 1 night Chobe National Trip with the Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours.
Highly recommend this company, everything was handled really seamlessly, starting with Vic Falls transfer to Chobe and back, the accommodation, catering and of course game drives and cruises - everything was top notch. The communication along the way was clear and we always knew what to do next. Most importantly, we were able to see so many animals up close, including lions, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles and many more!

We visited Victoria Falls in mid October and Zambezi Expeditions made all the arrangements like accommodation, safari, vic falls tour and a day trip to Chobe national park. We were 5 friends travelling and the arrangements were great. Airport transfers were on time. Oscar came to say bye and he accompanied us to the airport on the last day of the tour. Day trips were well organised and especially Chobe national park safari. Everything went on smoothly. The vehicles were good. I shall highly recommend this company. Planning to utilise them again for my Botswana trip. Thanks Oscar, Silence and Co for the fantastic vacation.
