Incredible Experience made all the more memorable by the team at African Big Cats Safaris.
From the start of the booking process William and Naomi were more than happy to answer our countless questions and assist with numerous changes and made sure the whole itinerary met and exceeded our expectations.
Makuru our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that we got as much as possible out of our Safari as we could. His guidance and the way explained what we were seeing made the trip all the more enjoyable.

Unforgettable and professional safari experience
For us it was our first trip to Tanzania and we were impressed from the beginning by the breathtaking landscape and unforgettable wildlife. Our guide Venance was very polite, hospitable and has ensured that we saw as many sights and animals as possible. He shared a wealth of knowledge with us. Naomi was also great and she provided us with excellent support for all our requests. The selected accommodations were very good, especially the overnight stay in Serengeti National Parc, which was very special. To the entire team THANK YOU for this amazing adventure!

Everything was very well arranged regarding the tours, accommodations, and meals
We were very satisfied. Our guide Claus put in a lot of effort to ensure we could see everything, especially his quick maneuvers that allowed us to be right at the front with the animals. We had plenty of time to observe the animals. The lunch boxes were always very delicious.
Clear recommendation for Big Cats for the entire organization, we felt very comfortable.

William helped us organize and define the plans very well; we even talked on whats app to fine tune and ask our questions;Naomi handled details with excellent communication and a great attitude! She was very accommodating. And our guide Festo was the VERY VERY BEST BESTEST! Amazing
We had the most incredible African safari for our honeymoon truly an experience we will never forget. Our safari guide, Obedi, was absolutely amazing. He is exceptionally skilled at what he does and spotted so many animals we never would have seen without his expertise. His deep knowledge, warm personality, and genuine passion for wildlife made every moment special. He made us feel completely welcome and comfortable from start to finish.
The booking and organisation were also flawless. Everything ran smoothly and we felt well taken care of throughout the entire trip.

Unforgettable experience in the wild
Beyond seeing the Big 5, we had an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Booking and communication excellent before our trip, we were welcomed personally by Emmanuel to discuss our itinerary over coffee, and we were impressed with all of our accommodations—it was hard to pick a favorite, but it’ll be hard to beat the tent cabin overlooking the Serengeti.
All compliments to Samwel, our guide. His expert knowledge of the parks and his kindness from beginning to end went so far to ensure a truly memorable and fun experience.

A 13 day Golden Photography Safari Package
Our group of 6 Photographers had considered many different safari organizations in Tanzania and finally settled on the African Big Cats Safari, Arusha for our final decision. We negotiated a 13 day Golden Photography Safari Package that included visits as follows: Arusha National Park with overnights at Mtoni River Lodge, A daily animal safari and one awesome daytime walking safari with an armed guard for safety. A two day safari at Tarangire National Park and stay at Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge. Lake Manyara National Park and stay at Baghayo Garden suites. 4 days in Serengeti national Park with stays at Zawadi Serengeti Camps and Embalakai Camps. A Ngorongoro Crater rim walk and stay at Embalakai Ngorongo Camp. A final day safari drive through the Ngorongoro national crater park then to a day of rest at Baghayo Garden Suites before being driven back to the Kilimanjaro Airport in Arusha. Most daily safaris started at 6:00 Am and lasted up to 11 hours with a stop for lunch while on the trails. To say this trip was excellent would be an understatement. All expenses, local travel, and luggage handling has been taken care of expertly. There were only minor additional expenses like mixed drinks at our lodges. Although the name CAMPS is used to describe the lodges they are close to nature but with modern accessories. Food was excellent. Daily safaris by vehicle were handled by our expert driver and guide "Indeni". He handled all requests with his knowledge and careful approach to animal life. He was the best! The second driver "Obeti" (I hope I spelled his name correctly) and vehicle followed his lead with expert care. Both men are to be recommended as perfect at their approach and provided daily guidance and information. Our main contact for the Safari was "Naomi". She made sure our needs, both before and after the safari, were met and any questions answered quickly. Whatsapp was used for any and all communications. We followed their recommendations for tipping for everyone especially the drivers and guides. The entire trip was in US funds. Flights are not included. If I had one item to advise future safari groups it would be to take the "African Massage" as a serious note as most roads throughout the safari are very rough. The time of our Safari was supposed to be at the entry of the wet season but we experienced only a few drops of rain on a couple days. They are badly in need of more rain as all areas have dust storms when passing other vehicles. Our flights with KLM were from Toronto airport in Canada with a short layover in Amsterdam and a final flight to Kilimanjaro airport. I would suggest that you buy comfort seating as the flights are long. The animal life is outstanding and opportunities to photograph are beyond belief. It was definitely a trip of a lifetime and we would love to return. The African Big Cats Safari group has met and exceeded our expectations.

Outstanding guide, who had the nose for extraordinary wildlife sightings
We went on a 5 day Luxury safari (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and 2 days Serengeti) starting in Arusha and flying out from Seronera. With our guide Claus (I recommend him specifically!!) we were able to see not only the Big5 but also some specials like a Hippo chasing away a lion, a 20+ large lion family, a Cheetah defending his kids from a Hyena and the absolute highlight: a Leopard hunting a Warthog and feeding it to his babies. Claus‘ driving skills, his nose for wildlife, his knowledge and last but not least his social skills (He perfectly knows when to be quiet and when to tell or ask something or make a joke - certainly not easy with us stubborn europeans).
The lodges offered a really nice experience, especially worth to mention is Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge (5 course dinner, breathtaking view, luxurious room) and Kubu Kubu with herds of animals directly passing by the balcony and pool.
I recommend to book outside peak season like in our case November: There is almost no rain, the migration is not really going on but animals are around in huge numbers. When there are sightings of rare animals, you still are pretty much alone and don‘t need to queue up with 100 others.
