An Unforgettable Safari – The Trip of a Lifetime!
We had an absolutely amazing 8-day safari with African Big Cats Safaris and could not have wished for a better experience. From beginning to end, everything was extremely well organized, and the entire trip exceeded our expectations.
We visited Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, and every day brought another incredible experience. The wildlife sightings were simply outstanding. We were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five, along with countless elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, hippos, hyenas and many other animals.
The absolute highlight was witnessing the Great Migration and a Mara River crossing in the Northern Serengeti. Seeing huge numbers of wildebeest gathering and then crossing the river was breathtaking and something we will never forget. It was one of those rare moments where you realize just how extraordinary nature can be.
Another unforgettable experience was the hot-air-balloon safari over the Serengeti. Floating silently above the landscape at sunrise and looking down on the wildlife and endless plains was magical. The views were spectacular, and the breakfast afterwards made the whole experience even more special.
Our private safari guide and driver played a huge part in making the trip so memorable. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the wildlife. He always seemed to know where to go and took the time to give us the best possible opportunities to observe and photograph the animals. We never felt rushed and really appreciated having a private vehicle throughout the safari.
The accommodations were very comfortable, the people everywhere were incredibly welcoming, and the entire itinerary was perfectly arranged. From Tarangire and the vast plains of the Serengeti to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, every part of the journey had something unique to offer.
We returned home with thousands of photographs and even more wonderful memories. Seeing all of the Big Five, experiencing the Mara River crossing and flying over the Serengeti in a hot-air balloon made this a true trip of a lifetime.
We can wholeheartedly recommend African Big Cats Safaris to anyone considering a safari in Tanzania. An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.

Unforgettable 8-Day Luxury Safari with an Incredible Team
We just returned from an 8-day, 7-night luxury safari with African Big Cats Safaris covering Tarangire, Central and Northern Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime.
Our guide, Vanance, made the entire experience. He was knowledgeable, flexible, and so helpful throughout. Whenever we spotted an animal we didn't recognize, he'd pull out his own animal encyclopedia-style book and show us photos to help identify it on the spot. He shared endless stories and facts about Tanzania, its wildlife, and its culture, which made every game drive so much more meaningful.
Immanuel was also fantastic - he personally met us for a kickoff meeting at the start of the trip and came back on our last day to check in and get our feedback. You could really tell the team cares about their guests.
We had zero issues the entire trip. Our accommodations were luxurious and even upgraded beyond what we expected, the vehicles were comfortable and well-maintained, and the hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti was an experience we'll never forget. Every single detail was perfect - a true 10/10 from start to finish. We can't recommend African Big Cats Safaris highly enough.

Amazing
An Incredible Kilimanjaro Experience
Climbing to the top of Kilimanjaro was an incredible and unforgettable experience. It was challenging both physically and mentally, but also incredibly peaceful and rewarding. Reaching the summit made all the effort completely worth it.
A huge thank you to the entire crew for making the journey so enjoyable. The porters were friendly, hardworking, and always supportive. Special thanks to David, Azaria, Noel, Ebeneza, Nicko, Calvin, Sulle, Esau, and George for their dedication and positive energy throughout the trek.
I also want to give a special mention to Danny and Peter for their excellent service and the delicious food. Having great meals and such attentive service made a big difference during the climb.
A big compliment as well to our two fantastic guides, Iddy and Steven. Their professionalism, encouragement, knowledge, and care gave us confidence throughout the entire journey. They made sure we were safe, motivated, and able to enjoy every moment.
Overall, this was a truly memorable adventure. The beautiful landscapes, peaceful moments, incredible teamwork, and reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro are memories I will never forget. Highly recommended!

Fantastic tour operator, real people building tailor made experiences.
Everything about our Safari with African big cats was seamless from beginning to end. They helped build the perfect itinerary for our family, I never felt pressured to commit and was given lots of advice and time to research. Our guide, Samuel, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and a fantastic driver who got us close to all the action. As a family with children he seemed to know how long to make game drives and when we were ready to relax at our lodge. The lodges selected for us were all fantastic and I cannot fault the food, facilities and most of all the friendliest staff! We truly had the trip of a lifetime that we’ll never forget.

An excellent experience which definitely surpassed all of our expectations - best guide!
This was probably one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had! It started with a personal consultation session via video conference, where one of African Big Cats Safari (ABCATS) employees took a lot of time to explore the various options with me and told us how we could structure our journey. We ended up with a one package consisting of one week safari through 3 national parks (Tarangire, Ngorogoro, Serengeti) followed by a week in a Zanzibar resort.
After agreeing on the various components, I was then transferred to another employee who handled all of our pre-departure logistics including booking of domestic flights, payments and other preparatory work.
All in all, African Big Cats handled this phase extremely professionally, coupled with a very personal touch.
When we arrived in Tanzania, we were greeted by our driver, Obedi at the airport, who would be our guide for the Safari week. We were extremely lucky to have Obedi and I cannot recommend him enough! He was friendly, extremely professional and a master of his trade: he knew so much about the widlife and explained a lot to us and he maneouvred the jeep across all types of road diligently and smoothly. We felt very very safe in his hands and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. The vehicle was very well maintained and always clean. Obedi took such good care of us!
The lodges/ our accomodation which were selected by ABCATS were all of high quality and we felt safe and comfortable in all of them - there were of course differences in style and level but we were very satisfied throughout. Our favourite lodge was Kubu Kubu in Serengeti.
Finally, also all other aspects of the journey were smooth: the internal flights from Serengeti to Zanzibar, the airport transfer from the airport to our resort (which was also very pleasant).
In summary I would highly recommend ABCATS to anyone who is considering a journey to Tanzania. You will not be disappointed! Finally, it is worth noting that the company is completely Tanzanian-owned, so it is a great way to support the local economy.

Fantastic experience!!
Our 4-day safari with African Big Cats Safaris was an absolute masterpiece, an amazing and unforgettable experience!
From day one, everything was flawless, but what truly made our journey unforgettable was our legendary guide, Martin. Not only does he speak perfect Italian, but he is a true phenomenon at spotting wildlife. His eagle eyes and deep knowledge of the bush brought the savannah to life in ways we never thought possible. Thanks to Martin, we didn't just see beautiful zebras, majestic elephants, and graceful giraffes. We experienced the raw beauty of nature up close: a magnificent male lion, a pride of lionesses feasting on a buffalo carcass, beautiful cheetah families, and even a hidden leopard! Every game drive was pure magic and filled with adrenaline. The organization was top-notch, the lodges were beautiful, and the hospitality was heartwarming. If you decide to go to Tanzania for a safari, you can safely choose the reliability, professionalism, and transparency of African Big Cats Safaris.

Unique experience
The best choice ever! Professional, reliable, perfectly organized, flexible and honest. After getting in touch with several companies, we chose them because from the very beginning they were clear and transparent, extremely helpful, and offered us several alternatives that matched our requests. They also turned out to offer the best value for money.
The jeeps are comfortable and spacious, the lodges are wonderful, and the guides are experienced and engaging.
A special mention for the way they handled a personal emergency in real time, arranging transfers, a hotel and an internal flight so that one of us could rejoin the group and continue the safari.
The safari was an experience that truly exceeded our expectations, and our biggest thanks go to Frank, an absolutely exceptional person! A tireless driver, an attentive guide with the utmost respect for the land and wildlife, but also a great cook, a caring and resourceful all-rounder who has by now become part of our family 😉 He made every sighting special and always made us feel safe. He was always available without ever being intrusive, and managed to exceed every expectation thanks to his experience, kindness and great sense of humor. He was also incredibly patient with our 11-year-old son, who was endlessly curious.
We visited the four northern parks — Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti — and put our trust in them completely. In the evening, you will be tired and covered in dust, but it will always have been worth it, and your eyes will be smiling.
We will carry in our hearts forever the breathtaking nature, the rhythm and life of the animals, the warm welcome from the people, the delicious food, and the cinematic sunrises and sunsets.
When it was time to leave, we were moved to tears, but it was inevitable…

My wife and I chose African Big Cats Safaris for our honeymoon in Tanzania, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime.
From start to finish, everything was handled flawlessly. Even when unexpected flight changes arose due to the situation in the Middle East, the team adapted seamlessly and took care of every detail, allowing us to travel completely stress-free.
Our guide, Lovoi, was exceptional. He managed every day with perfect timing and expertise, creating an experience that never felt rushed, yet never lacked momentum. His knowledge, dedication, and instinct for wildlife made every moment unforgettable.
