Absolutely fantastic experience!
We had an amazing safari! Everything was extremely well-organized, and communication in the months before the safari was also excellent. And it was very reasonably priced compared with many other safaris.
We saw so many animals and birds, beyond our expectations. All the lodges were great, and the staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. Our guide, Venance was absolutely wonderful - so kind, patient, easy-going but on top of everything, and really knowledgeable about all the animals. We learned so much from him. All in all, it couldn't have been better. I recommend African Big Cats Safari wholeheartedly! Top notch!

Unforgettable Safari Experience with African Big Cats Safaris
Our 5-day, 4-night safari with African Big Cats Safari was truly one of the most amazing and memorable experiences we’ve ever had. From beginning to end, everything was incredibly well organized, and we felt taken care of every step of the way.
The company was wonderful to work with; communicative, professional, and attentive to every detail. At the beginning of our trip, Emmanuel met us at our first hotel to walk us through all the details and make sure we knew exactly what to expect. At the end of our safari, he met us again at the airport when we were dropped off to hear about our experience and make sure everything had gone well. That level of personal attention really stood out to us. You can see the passion and dedication they have for the work they do.
The accommodations throughout the trip were beautiful and incredibly comfortable. After long, exciting days in the jeep, they were the perfect places to relax, unwind, and recharge for the next adventure.
And then there was Frank, our guide, who was absolutely unbelievable. He was incredibly knowledgeable. Not only about the animals, but also about the communities we drove through, the landscapes we passed, and the parks themselves. His passion for what he does was obvious every day.
What impressed us just as much as his knowledge was his kindness. You could see it in the relationships he had with the other guides, the park rangers at the gates, and every staff member we encountered along the way. He treated everyone with genuine warmth and respect, and it said so much about the kind of person he is.
Frank went above and beyond to make sure our trip was unforgettable. His expertise, patience, humor, and genuine passion made every day special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
We are so grateful to African Big Cats Safari, Emmanuel, and especially Frank for giving us an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. If you’re considering a safari, we cannot recommend them highly enough!

The trip of a lifetime
We had the most amazing trip with African Big Cats Safaris. We did a couples private tour and had a 6-seater jeep to ourselves throughout the trip! The Safaris we enjoyed took us to Tarangire park, Ngorogoro crater, Serengeti and Lake Myanara! Pick ups, transfers, lunch, drinks and guides were all perfectly planned by the team of African Big Cats Safaris. Not only did we get to see a myriad of incredible animals at all of the remarkable national parks we went to in Tanzania, the trip itself was so meticulously planned to every detail that everything went so smoothly and efficiently - completely stress-free! The staff all showed such great professionalism and attentive communication throughout to solve any problems quickly. When planning the trip, they were very flexible to adapt the itinerary to what we wanted to do. The hotels that were booked for us were all luxurious, with comfortable rooms, welcoming and friendly staff, and delicious food. Our guide, Samuel, had an encyclopedic knowledge of all the animals that we saw, and we were so impressed by his ability to spot and identify animals so quickly! This made a big impact on our experience and made it even more enjoyable.
After the Safaris, our trip continued in Zanzibar, the management of which was taken over by a different partner tour company on the island - but this part of the trip was not as seamless. However, this was not the fault of African Big Cat Safaris, who continued to be highly supportive and communicative to help us when we encountered problems.
We cannot recommend African Big Cats Safaris highly enough. We had the time of our lives and it was in no small part due to the quality of the service that they provided! Hakuna Matata!!

The Safari of a Lifetime
Our safari exceeded every expectation. From the initial booking and trip planning to the seamless coordination throughout our journey, everything was handled flawlessly. The operations manager took care of every detail, making the entire experience effortless and stress-free.
A safari is only as good as its guide, and Samwell truly made our trip unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and always attentive to our needs. His intelligence, experience, and remarkably sharp eyesight meant we were often the first to spot wildlife and arrive at sightings before anyone else. His passion for the bush was evident every day, and we learned so much from him.

Amazing!
If you're looking for a safari company that truly goes above and beyond, I can't recommend African Big Cats Safari enough. From the very beginning, they helped us create a custom itinerary that perfectly fit the needs of our group, and throughout the entire trip they made sure we were safe, comfortable, and well taken care of.
What really sets this company apart is their incredible attention to detail. Whether it was accommodating dietary restrictions, keeping our vehicle clean after long game drives, or making sure every part of our experience was seamless, they thought of everything. They even made my son's birthday unforgettable by surprising him with a cake while the staff came out singing and dancing. It was such a heartfelt moment that our family will always remember.

Seamless and unforgettable experience
Our experience in Tanzania and the safari was nothing short of mind blowing. We had a great experience with African Big Cats Safari. From the get go Joshua and Naomi were able to listen to our requests and carve out the itinerary that was custom to our needs. Before the start of the safari, Emmanuel had a detailed briefing with us about what to expect from the safari itself, lodging, food, roads, and safety. He made us feel very comfortable and we got the immediate sense that we were in very capable hands.
We flew into the Central Serengeti's Seranora airstrip where we were met by our guide, Festo. We covered 3 days in Serengeti and then a day each at Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National park. We were amazed by all the animals we saw from the herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, different species of antelopes, hippos, and of course the cats (lions, leopard, cheetahs) all living in nature the way it was meant to be. We were blessed to catch the elusive black and white rhinos as well in close proximity and almost saw a cheetah going for a kill. We saw and learnt a lot about the smaller animals and the various species of birds native to Tanzania.
A special mention about our guide, Festo was always so cheerful and full of energy from sunrise to the end of the day. He went above and beyond to guide us through our humbling experience in nature's wonderland. Beyond the main animals, he was very knowledgeable about the trees, smaller animals, birds, insects, and the animal behaviors making it a wholesome experience for us. It's not an easy job to drive a safari vehicle, be a great spotter, and share knowledge and history with us while having really long days. He patiently allowed us to take pictures and videos at every opportunity. Best of all, his positive energy and smile was incredibly infectious and kept us in peppy spirits.
All the lodges we stayed at were clean, comfortable, and provided an immersive experience in nature. We loved our interactions with the local people. Being vegetarians we were amazed at the number of delicious options we had for each meal. Lastly the hospitality shown by Tanzanians in every place was truly remarkable. We felt we got great value and service for the price we paid.
Our only recommendation to fellow travelers would be to either do Lake Manyara early in the trip or to skip it all together as it is underwhelming compared to what you can see in the other parks. There is so much to also learn about the Masai culture, we wish we had allocated some additional time for that.
Overall this was an unforgettable lifetime experience with loads of memories thanks to African Big Cat Safaris and the people of Tanzania. Please do continue preserving the parks, the way they are, with as little human influence as possible.
