A phenomenal tour operator with an outstanding guide who truly cares about the experience.
I chose Top Selected Tours after reaching out to six different companies, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. We did a four day safari to Ndutu to see the Great Migration, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
From the moment we were picked up, we felt completely at ease with our guide, Jackson. He is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly loves what he does, and it shows in every part of the experience. By the end of the trip, it genuinely felt like we were saying goodbye to a good friend.
The Land Cruiser was in excellent condition and very comfortable, with a pop up roof for optimal wildlife viewing. Jackson consistently found the best locations and positioned the vehicle perfectly so we could get clear, close views of the animals. We were lucky enough to see an abundance of lions, along with cheetahs, a leopard, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and much more. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
We were also extremely happy with the accommodations. From the tented camp in Ndutu, complete with a flushing toilet, hot shower, queen size bed, and desk, surrounded by zebras and gazelles walking through the camp, to Eileen’s Tree Lodge with its beautiful grounds and pool, everything was top notch. The food throughout the trip was consistently excellent.
This safari was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend Top Selected Tours to anyone considering a trip to Tanzania. It’s also worth noting that they are Tanzanian owned, so you’re directly supporting local businesses. Five stars, without question. And if you go, ask for Jackson, you won’t regret it.

Our 7-day safari with John as our guide was absolutely phenomenal and exceeded all expectations. His expertise in tracking wildlife was incredible – thanks to him, we witnessed the breathtaking Great Migration calving, a pride of lions on a hunt, and even a rare black rhino in Ngorongoro Crater.
Beyond his professional skills, John’s patience, warm personality, and genuine passion for Tanzania’s ecosystem made the journey deeply enriching. He was not just a guide, but a wonderful companion who ensured our safety, comfort, and that every question was answered with a smile.

Experienced.
Go with John. He was very experienced, thoughtful and kind. But mostly I just felt relaxed and safe with him. He always seemed to know exactly what he was doing. His eye for locating all kinds of animals was incredible. He was flexible and also pushed us a little in the right ways and at the right times. You will not regret going with Top Selected Tours, and with John especially. Trust me. This was our first safari and he made my wife and I feel very comfortable and taken care of.

Amazing Safari
Easy booking process, always on time and very friendly approach and profesional at the same time. We had to changeout dates and they were very helpful. Trust them, they know what they are doing. We had the best guide ever, Jackson Kitesho, and we got the Big 5 among all wild life. He told us about animal behaviour, migration, claves, Masai culture, everything! And we enjoyed his company. We truly cannot say enough good things about our 4-day safari with John and Top Select. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it exceeded every expectation we had.
From the very beginning, communication was prompt, clear, and professional, which immediately put us at ease. Once the trip started, John took exceptional care of us. He was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and determined to make sure we experienced everything we hoped for — and more. Thanks to him, we were able to see all of the Big Five, along with countless other unforgettable wildlife moments that we never could have planned on our own.
Every accommodation along the way was excellent, with comfortable stays, great food, and warm, welcoming staff. The entire trip was seamless and stress-free — we didn’t encounter a single problem. Everything was handled professionally from start to finish, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the experience.
What truly set this safari apart, though, was John himself. He is knowledgeable, calm, and an absolute pleasure to travel with. His easygoing, genuine hakuna matata attitude made long days on the road feel effortless and fun, and his passion for what he does really shows.
On top of all of this, the safari was very reasonably priced for the level of care, experience, and quality we received. The value was outstanding.

John is a highly experienced guide who delivers an organized safari and unforgettable wildlife.
We had an incredible 4-day, 3-night safari with John and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and truly goes the extra mile to make sure you have the best possible safari experience.
Thanks to John, we saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife, including many different lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, a rhinoceros, wildebeest, hyenas, and coyotes. We were lucky enough to see the entire Big Five, which made the experience extra special. He knows exactly where to look and always made sure we were in the right place at the right time.
We had an amazing time and felt very well taken care of throughout the trip. If we ever return to Tanzania, John will definitely be our guide again. Highly recommended!

A Masterclass in Guiding: The Perfect Safari

I cannot recommend Jackson highly enough. From the moment we arrived until our departure, he gave 110% to make our Tanzania trip absolutely flawless.
His knowledge of wildlife and geology is encyclopedic; he didn't just show us animals, he explained their behaviors and the history of the landscape in a way that fascinated us. He worked tirelessly to find the best sightings (we saw everything!) and was incredibly patient, never rushing us.
On the road, he is an expert driver—I always felt completely safe, even on difficult terrain. The vehicle was always spotless, dust-free, and comfortable. What impressed me most was his professionalism: he was always impeccably dressed, punctual, and serious about his job, yet warm and attentive.

Unforgettable safari experience in Ndutu & Ngorongoro with Frank
We spent four days on safari in Ndutu and the Ngorongoro Crater with Top Selected, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience, far beyond anything we expected.
In addition to seeing the Big Five, we were lucky enough to witness hunting scenes and even see a baby leopard. This incredible moment was possible thanks to the exceptional eye of our guide and driver, Frank, who was the first to spot it and made us live a truly unique experience.
Frank is an outstanding guide: extremely experienced, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable. He shared so many fascinating stories and insights about the animals, the history of the parks, and Maasai culture, which made the safari even more enriching and meaningful.
The places where we stayed were also excellent: very clean, comfortable, and with impeccable service. Everything was perfectly organized and smooth from start to finish.
We honestly have nothing negative to say. This was a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience with a guide who is not only highly experienced but also genuinely passionate about wildlife and nature. We will remember it forever.
