A safari company that truly cares — about its guests, wildlife and the experience.
From our very first contact back in the Netherlands, we had a really good feeling about this company — and our trip only confirmed that.
Before the trip, everything was easy to arrange via the app and by phone. They were flexible, helpful and even picking us up from the friends we were staying with in Kenya was no problem at all. The price also stood out in a very positive way. We compared several safari companies, and their price was significantly more competitive and, above all, realistic — without compromising on quality.
And then we got Evans Ngeno as our driver and guide.
For six days, he was there for us and took care of everything. What impressed us most was his incredible knowledge of nature and animal behaviour. He knew how to read the animals and could often predict where they were going to move next. As a result, he was often in exactly the right place at exactly the right time — and so were we. This led to some incredible wildlife encounters and amazing photo opportunities.
He also showed genuine respect for nature, the animals and his fellow guides. There was no chasing animals just to get a photo or trying to get to the front at all costs. Instead, there was patience, knowledge and respect. Exactly how we believe a safari should be experienced.
When we ran into problems with one of our accommodations, Evans was immediately there for us. He helped us think through the situation, made calls, tried to arrange solutions and made sure we were not left to deal with it on our own. It is in moments like these that you realise someone is not simply doing their job — they genuinely feel responsible for the people in their care.
We had six fantastic days and look back on a safari we will never forget. The combination of personal attention, flexibility, knowledge, respect for nature and excellent value for money means we can absolutely recommend this company.

My wife and I recently completed an 8-day safari with Green Place Adventures, and it was honestly one of the best trips of our lives.
Before booking, we had one major concern: "What if this is not a genuine company? What if nobody comes to pick us up at the airport?" If you're having similar thoughts, let me put your mind at ease. The moment we stepped out of the airport Mr William was holding our name with a happy face. Which made is very happy and he drove and dropped us in hotel.
Everything was perfectly organized from the moment we landed. We were welcomed as promised and were looked after throughout the entire trip.
A special thank you to Ellijah, who handled our booking. He was extremely helpful, professional, and always available on WhatsApp whenever we had questions before the trip. His quick responses and willingness to help made us feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning.
On the first day, we met Felix, who took us on a Nairobi game drive. He was calm, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly without ever rushing us. Later, Ellijah personally met us and gave us a detailed briefing about our upcoming safari, which was a wonderful touch.
The real star of our trip was our guide, Mr. Benard Oduor.
I can honestly say that Benard is one of the best guides we have ever met. He always listened to us, was incredibly patient, and never hesitated to stop whenever we needed a restroom break, wanted to buy something, or simply wanted more time at a location.
What impressed us most was how dedicated he was to giving us the best safari experience possible. It genuinely felt like he wanted us to see the Big Five even more than we did! Thanks to his knowledge, experience, and determination, we had some amazing wildlife sightings and unforgettable moments.
If you are travelling as a couple, I highly recommend requesting Benard. Not only is he an excellent guide, but he is also an outstanding photographer. He took some beautiful photos of my wife and me that we will treasure forever.
Benard went above and beyond every single day. Whenever we arrived at a hotel or lodge, he personally checked that everything was satisfactory. At one lodge in Masai Mara, our room did not have the best view, so Benard spoke to the reception and helped us get a much better room with an incredible view.
One of our most memorable experiences was in Masai Mara, where Benard took us on nearly a 12-hour game drive. This was far beyond what we expected, but he wanted us to see as much wildlife as possible and create memories that would last a lifetime. Because of his efforts, we explored a huge area and had an incredible safari experience.
Another reason we enjoyed the trip so much was Benard's personality. He is friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and very easy to talk to. Even during long drives, we were never bored because he always had interesting stories and information to share.
At Lake Nakuru, we were feeling tired and initially asked him not to spend too much time on the safari. Thankfully, he encouraged us to continue a little longer. Because of that, we were able to spot flamingos, a hyena, and even a lion. Once again, Benard's dedication helped create another unforgettable memory.
Even on our final day, he continued to exceed our expectations. Our flight was at 10:30 PM, and although he could have dropped us at the airport much earlier, he adjusted the plan according to our request. He took us to a shopping mall in Nairobi so we could spend our remaining time comfortably before heading to the airport.
The beautiful farewell gift he gave us at the end of the trip was also a very thoughtful gesture and the perfect ending to an amazing journey.

Adaptive, understanding, caring and trustworthy
With Green Places Adventures it was all very fluent from the start. Elijah was the one to plan it all, a wise and caring professional. He was diligent in answering and adapting the tour while our plans evolved. They offered a very competitive package and were kind to break down the costs for us, so we would make informed decisions when fine-tunning. I do not know how many versions we asked for, but they never had a "no" for a response. Also, you can see they are very experienced because the route recommendations were solid, and the driver/guide was amazing.
Our driver was Evans, a very very experienced guide that explained all details of the animals behaviour, so we could enjoy not just seeing them, but understanding what was happening (a giraffes elegant neck fight, hyenas hunt, elefants protective parenting...).
Some quality details to look for if you are lost comparing packages, that made us choose Green Places Adventures over others: timely answers, game drives also upon arrival to the lodge in the afternoon (some others skip it and it and then may look cheaper, but you miss half day of safari), upgrade when possible and very transparent pricing. And for me, the most important, it's a local agency, so it's all staying in Kenia <3.
About our tour: We had a 7 days safari from Amboseli to Naivasha and Nakuru, then to Masai Mara and back to Nairobi. Amboseli has its own soul, with amazing Kilimanjaro as unique background and a lot of elephants and other big mammals. Naivasha's Crescent Island is a curious thing to experience, especially with kids. Nakuru was the unexpected delight, with a lot of animals including rhinos and lions, beautiful stay. Masai Mara is THE place to go for its vast extension and the savannah landscape we all have in our documentary memories; plus getting to know Masais is the cultural cherry on the cake, Kenia is so much more than just wildlife.

My friend and I had the most amazing safari with Green Places Safaris — it truly went beyond all our expectations.
The communication throughout the entire booking process was outstanding. They replied immediately and were always happy to adjust details if needed, which made everything feel easy and safe.
Our guide, Jackson, was simply the best — welcoming, professional, and incredibly skilled. He made sure we saw all the animals you dream of seeing on safari, even some of the rare ones! He was knowledgeable, talkative, and by the end of the trip, we felt like we had built a special friendship with him.
We stayed at Simba Lodge, which was absolutely breathtaking. From our balcony, we could see animals walking freely on the savannah right in front of us, and the pool overlooking the savannah was just incredible. The staff, facilities, and buffet food were all top class.
If your budget allows it, we highly recommend upgrading to a Land Cruiser jeep — it makes the experience a thousand times better and adds so much comfort and flexibility to the game drives.
All in all, the best safari experience ever — full of unforgettable memories and happy moments. We couldn’t recommend it more! 🦒🌿
