High quality seamless safari
I did a trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana with Africa Uncovered Safaris. It was my fourth safari in Africa but my first time with this company. I was very impressed from start to finish. Archie made the planning aspect very easy and let me change the itinerary to suit my interests. The choice of accommodations was fantastic: everywhere was extremely clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The game viewing was excellent, I saw lions in almost all of the game drives I did, alongside elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, giraffe, hippos, buffalo, crocodiles etc. I didn’t see any leopard or cheetah but it’s the wild, not a zoo, so these things cannot be promised. I saw loads of interesting birds and wished I had bought a bird book with me to learn more. The boat cruise on the Zambezi river was a highlight for me. I was actually intending on skipping this but Archie really recommended it and I’m so glad I did it. I did a day trip into Zambia to see rhinoceros in a protected area which was lovely.
As a solo female traveler I felt extremely safe with my guide Norman and under the care of Archie. One of the guides in Hwange called Simba was fantastic too. During the Victoria falls tour, I had a female guide named Peace. She was brilliant. She told me that Africa Uncovered Safaris had specifically sought a female guide for me, knowing I am a female solo traveler, without me even asking - I was so impressed by this attention to detail.
The quality of the food was very good throughout the tour. Most of the food was halal. Everything ran on time and I knew exactly what to expect.
I would not hesitate to book with Archie again and I was delighted to hear he can also arrange safaris in Namibia and Zambia, I am already planning my next one. For this region I have found my ‘go to’ safari operator with Africa Uncovered Safaris.
If you are a solo female traveler please don’t hesitate, you will feel totally safe.
Tips and advice: the game drives are in open sided vehicles and it gets very cold in the early morning and evening so bring layers and a light down jacket!

Outstanding guide and company
I had the joy of being partnered with Norman for a custom 11 day itinerary from Victoria Falls to Botswana's Okavango delta and back. Arranging the itinerary was smooth and efficient and my preferences and requests were immediately incorporated. Norman was an absolute treasure! He chose restaurants to adjust to my meal preferences, made sure I was able to do any extra activities I wanted and always made sure I was satisfied with accommodations and experiences. We also had excellent conversations during the drives, and I left with a new friend. The entire experience was exceptional!

Excellent communication, personalized service
I had an amazing experience seeing Botswana with Africa Uncovered Safaris. From the first correspondence the communication was clear and flexible with my plans. My guide, Norman, was fantastic. It was a true pleasure spending my week with him, learning about the country and animals, while becoming friends. A particular highlight was the overnight in the Okavango Delta, which was an incredible experience to be on foot and camping so close to the wildlife. There to ensure the success of these events was our personal guide, Tafara. His level of expertise was exceptional.
Local guides have been carefully selected to ensure responsible game viewing which enhanced our overall experience.
The price point for this safari was excellent for all that we received and experienced. We came home with a greater appreciation and understanding of Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Fabulous trip with Africa Uncovered
Wow - what a fabulous trip that Africa Uncovered organized! My husband and I had such a wonderful time on the 7-Day Botswana Magic and Incredible Victoria Falls tour with our guide Norman. We learned so much about Botswana and Zimbabwe from him during the week and had such a grand adventure! From the game drives in Chobe, to the bush camping experience in the Okavango Delta, the trip was truly a dream come true. Everything was seamless and organized so well. We were grateful that Africa Uncovered offered an affordable safari experience that allowed us to check a travel dream off our bucket list that may otherwise not have been possible.
A couple of things that may be helpful to know: The trip includes all meals, which is a mix of hotel meals and meals out at restaurants that your guide will take you to. You can order anything off the menu, which was fabulous, excluding alcohol, which you would cover on your own. We were comfortable in all of the accommodations, which are mid-range, and particularly loved our time at Nata Lodge, which was a really unique room. While the drives from destination can be a bit long on some days on bumpy roads (about 4 hours from Chobe to Nata, and then Nata to Maun) we always had time in the afternoon to have lunch, relax a bit, and go on a game drive. Game drives were included in the trip every day (Chobe safari cruise, Chobe AM and PM game drives, game drive at the Nata Bird Sanctuary, mokoro and walking safaris in the Delta, and a game drive at Elephant Sands - so there are A LOT of opportunities to see wildlife. You'll also see animals from the car while driving - we saw a lion, elephants, zebras, giraffes, a sable, and numerous other things crossing the highway). We saw a number of other large tour groups doing similar itineraries, and I was so grateful to be in a small group with just my husband, Norman and I so that we could ask a lot questions and really get to know the country and culture. I highly recommend this trip and this company!

Excellent organization, adventure and communication.
Had a 9 days safari at Victoria falls and Botswana. Archie was an excellent communicator and met all my needs organizing the safari. I was appointed to an excellent tour guide, Tafara, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, safe and made sure I had a full experience at every stop, filled with adventures and laughter. All my accommodations were excellent with multiple variety of meals included. I was the only one in the group, which was very personalized, felt like a VIP guest. Tafara picked me up and dropped me off at the airport, making the transition easy, hustle free and comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this trip to make justice to this unforgettable experience.
I definitely recommend this company and the guide to anyone wants to have an amazing safari experience in Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Superb safari experience to Chobe with attentive and knowledgeable operator
We had a three-day tour starting in Victoria Falls going to Chobe and returning to Victoria Falls with Africa Uncovered Safaris. Muza, our tour guide, provided exceptional service, from the time he picked us up from our hotel in VF and returned us at the end of our tour. He was incredibly informative, punctual, and thoughtful. The safari experience - where we had an afternoon boat and 3 game drives - allowed us to see giraffes, hippos elephants, crocodiles, jackals, baboons, monkeys, a whole variety of birds giraffes and much more. The experience was incredibly well organized. Muza navigated the complex border requirements with ease staying at our side the entire time. He met with us before and after each activity, always checking in to make sure that we we happy and comfortable, and seemed genuinely interested when we shared our stories of game sightings. We are thankful for the great guidance provided by Muza and would recommend this experience to anyone

The experience of a lifetime!

TL;DR - These guys are fantastic! We had a wonderful tour.
We went on safari to celebrate Michelle's birthday. We looked for mid range lodge/hotel accommodation in a small group shared tour and booked the 9 day Majestic Victoria Falls and Botswana Safari.
What we actually got was our own private tour with good accommodation and an overnight camping adventure all for a very reasonable price.
I found the itinerary advertised on Safari Bookings.com and then continued the booking process direct with Archie at Africa Uncovered Safaris. Archie was very helpful, answered any questions promptly and made the booking process straight forward. We had a bit of a hiccup during the tour, caused by us, not Africa Uncovered and Archie was able to help Tafara sort things out so we didn't miss out on anything.
Tafara was our guide for trip. From the moment he met us at Victoria Falls airport to dropping us at the Zambian border at the end of the trip, he really was a star. Everything was sorted for us and he made sure we were in the right place at the right time for all the activities included in the tour (and the optional extras we booked). His knowledge and enthusiasm really helped make the trip the success it was.
The trip was on a full board basis and Tafara took us to a variety of different restaurants along the way. We were never hungry!
Every day was an adventure. Included in the tour were morning and afternoon game drives in Chobe, an evening dinner cruise on the Zambezi, a safari cruise on the Chobe river, a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, an overnight adventure in the Okavango Delta including two walking safaris and mokoro (dug out canoe) transport, a sunset game drive at Nata Bird Sanctuary and a game drive at Elephant Sands. Tafara also took us to the vulture feeding at Victoria Falls Safari Club as a bonus activity. Every single one of the activities was a great experience. We also opted to to do a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls (expensive but so worth it!) and a light aircraft flight over the Okavango Delta.
There was a lot of driving between locations but Tafara handled that expertly and always stopped to show us the animals by the side of the road (a lot of the time we were driving through national parks)
I don't think the 9 day trip is on offer at the moment but check with Archie and he might be able to come up with something similar. There is a 7 day trip available that looks similar.

Relaxing in Botswana
I booked a 6-night 7-day safari with Africa Uncovered Safaris. My driver and main guide Muza took good care of me the whole time. We were off to a good start seeing a leopard cross the road on the way to Chobe National Park. I experienced lots of animal sitings, as well as camping and canoeing on the Okavango Mokoro. I have to say, the lodges were excellent - very comfortable and clean places to stay. Muza my guide was extremely experienced. He's been taking clients on Safaris for over 20 years. Overall, it was a top-notch experience.

Unforgettable experience, worth the last penny
Competent, great value for money, organised, thorough, friendly and supportive: the perfect safari agency when you want to travel hassle-free. We used their services for a 7-Day Botswana classic safari in January 2026 and Archie and the Africa Uncovered team really over delivered our expectations.
