Our experience with Go Makini Tanzania Expedition was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Every aspect of our safari exceeded our expectations, and we truly feel that we received incredible value for the price we paid. The cost was very reasonable considering the exceptional service, knowledgeable guide, delicious meals, comfortable accommodations, and unforgettable wildlife experiences we received throughout our trip.
From the very beginning, Nancy provided excellent communication and customer service. She was always quick to respond, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and provided detailed information about our itinerary and what to expect. Her professionalism and attention to detail made the entire planning and booking process stress-free and enjoyable.
Our guide, Rashed Kihiyo, was simply amazing. His knowledge of the wildlife, parks, and local culture was impressive, and his passion for his work was evident every day. He worked hard to ensure we had the best possible game drives and wildlife sightings. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, we were able to see an incredible variety of animals and enjoy experiences we will never forget. Rashed takes genuine pride in his work, and it shows. We will absolutely be recommending him to our family and friends.
We would also like to recognize our chef, Denis, who did a fantastic job throughout the safari. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. We were genuinely impressed by the quality and variety of the food, especially considering we were traveling through the national parks. Denis played a huge role in making our safari experience even more enjoyable.
The entire Go Makini Tanzania Expedition team made us feel welcomed, safe, and well cared for throughout our journey. Everything was organized professionally, the service was excellent, and the overall experience exceeded anything we could have imagined. The combination of outstanding communication, exceptional guiding, delicious food, and excellent value for money made this one of the best vacations we have ever taken.

Professional/efficient/helpful
We went on a 7-day safari with Makini, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our WhatsApp contact, Nancy, was extremely helpful, responsive, and always quick to communicate, which made planning and coordination smooth and stress-free.
Our safari driver, Elisha, was outstanding and truly made the experience unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of his way to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible, including incredible sightings across the Serengeti and beyond. His dedication and expertise made every game drive exciting and rewarding.
Overall, it was an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend Makini, Nancy, and especially Elisha to anyone planning a safari.

Adventure of a Lifetime 🦒🐘🐆
A truly amazing 3 days to kick off our Honeymoon with Makini. We were greeted at our hotel in Arusha with the team. Spoiled with gifts & given information regarding the agenda over the next few days.
The booking process was very simple, I reached out to Makini by WhatsApp/Email & they personalised the quote to everything we wanted.
We done 2 days in the Serengeti. We landed at 10:45 at Seronera Airstrip & we were greeted by our guide Adrian. We then waited for our bags whilst Adrian sorted the permit.
We then set off, straight on safari & it did not take long before we came across 2 of the big 5 🦁🐆 . I expected to see animals on this safari, however I was blown away with just how close you actually get. As you can see from the photos.
Adrian across the 3 days has been brilliant, a very friendly man who is always keen to give you the experience you want from the safari. On the 2nd day, Adrian recommended going to see one of the Masai Villages, which was a great couple of hours, experiencing another culture. Joining the Masai in their local dance & playing some football ⚽️.
The last day we done a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. Here we got to see 3 of the big 5 🐘 🦬 🦏.
We stayed at the Land of Nature Camp & Farm of Dreams Lodge. Both of these stays were spectacular, service was always on point & the dinner & breakfast was great quality.
The lunch during the safari was very nice, usually a serving of vegetables, spaghetti/rice, meat & salad.
It’s hard to sum up into words, the whole 3 days other than it has been an adventure of a lifetime. I throughly recommend coming to Tanzania & would say we had the best time thanks to Makini.
Now we’re off to Zanzibar 🏝️🍸

I had the pleasure of working with Ilham while planning my safari trip. Although we weren’t able to go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances, I was incredibly impressed with how she tailored the package to fit my budget while making it as lavish as possible. She thoughtfully planned around our landing times, allowing gaps to rest so we wouldn’t get fatigued during the trip. Ilham is attentive, professional, and truly deserves recognition.
Unlike other operators, she isn’t pushy—she genuinely cares about creating the best experience. When we book our tickets for 2027, we will definitely be in touch and only going with Ilham.

A good and affordable tour with excellent guides.
I went on a 10-day tour and it was fantastic. It was a tour for all ages. Five days were spent on safari and the other five days doing other activities. The safari guide, Luca, saw every animal, no matter how small or large, whether they were hidden or even while driving. The activities guide, Immanuel, was also great and very funny. The entire program was very flexible and could be discussed and adapted with the organizers.

Tanzania is awesome

An amazing 5d experience in Tanzania
We had an excellent experience with Makini on our 5 day tour in Tanzania. We visited Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Create. We visited as a family in February 2026.
Our experience started before the tour, working with Nancy at the head office who contacted us directly after our quote request. She was very helpful and proactive as we worked through the finer points of our itinerary, ensured all of the lodges and resorts had space for us on the dates we wanted.
The lodges and resorts we stayed at were all great (Suricata Boma Lodge near Tarangire, Land of Nature Camp in Serengeti, and Farm of Dreams Lodge near Ngorongoro Crater). These places are all very good. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the accommodations were very comfortable. Special mention for the experience at Land of Nature Camp; being inside Serengeti next to the animals is both very special and a little unnerving. Camp staff were all very alert and conscious of safety, walking with us to and from our tent and the main lodge. This was an important precaution when a pride of lions strolled through the camp at dusk. We heard them communicating through the night as well along with many birds and insects. You are definitely amongst the nature here!
The 4x4 truck used for the trip was very good. It looked basically the same as the vehicles used by most tour providers. Built for the rugged terrain it had no issues along the way. It was comfortable and spacious. The pop-top roof was great and we had a 360-degree view of everything. Binoculars were provided for better viewing of distant animals.
Finally, and most importantly, our driver and tour guide, Gift "Gifty" Roman, skillfully drove us between each location and through the parks on game drives. Gift was friendly, knowledgeable, very punctual and professional. As an expert guide with over 6yrs experience, he had a special knowledge of all parks, allowing him to quickly zero in on specific known animal groups and habitats. He maintained contact with other guides through the day to help find sightings of the more illusive animals. While luck plays an important role in the animals you are able to see on each day, it's extremely important to have a great guide to maximize your chances, and we were very happy to have Gift at the helm of our truck.
Gift was also an encyclopedia of knowledge on each animal, the geography and geology of each area, and Tanzania in general. He has a particularly sound knowledge of all the birds in each park which is no small feat.
It's also no small feat to navigate the roads and highways between Arusha and the various parks. Traffic and road conditions are uncertain, the dirt roads and off-road paths are variable and ever-changing. Gift is everything you want in a guide and driver... professional, safe, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and well-connected. Big thanks to Gift for our time with him in Tanzania.
