A truly memorable day trip
We booked a private day trip from Arusha to Serval Wildlife, with a drop-off in Moshi at the end of the day. We would like to thank Alex for his excellent service. He arrived on time in the morning, drove very safely and smoothly throughout the trip, and made the whole journey comfortable and enjoyable.

The Safari Experience of a Lifetime!
My safari through the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was truly the best safari experience I could have imagined. A huge thank you to Serengeti African Tours for operating this incredible journey and to Swahili Safari Escape for organizing everything so professionally. Their cooperation created a seamless and unforgettable adventure.
From the very first contact, communication with Seth Msechu from Swahili Safari Escape was outstanding. Every message was answered quickly, thoroughly, and with genuine warmth. The entire process felt personal, friendly, and familiar rather than simply transactional. The Tanzanian hospitality and the heartfelt "Karibu Sana" made me feel welcome from the very beginning.
What impressed me even before the safari started was the extraordinary level of customer service. They even went above and beyond by organizing a personal shopping trip for me to get suitable safari clothing and essentials. I was picked up directly from my accommodation and taken to buy everything needed for the safari. This level of care and support is something I have rarely experienced while traveling and immediately showed how much they genuinely care about their guests.
Outstanding Guides and Chef
The guides and the cook were absolutely exceptional. The food throughout the safari was delicious, varied, and always plentiful. Nobody ever had to worry about going hungry. Every meal was freshly prepared, and even the packed lunches exceeded my expectations.
There were always enough drinks available during the entire safari, ensuring everyone stayed comfortable and hydrated throughout the long game drives.
Incredible Wildlife Knowledge and Safari Experience
Our guides knew the parks perfectly. They navigated effortlessly through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, always knowing exactly where every lodge and campsite was located without hesitation.
Most importantly, they knew precisely where to drive to maximize wildlife sightings. Their experience and local knowledge allowed us to get incredibly close to many animals while always respecting safety regulations and wildlife. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to see an amazing variety of animals, including the famous Big Five: lion, elephant, rhinoceros, leopard, and buffalo.
It was obvious that the guides constantly communicated and used their experience to position us in the best locations at the best times. This made every game drive exciting and rewarding.
Another aspect that truly impressed me was their patience. The guides never rushed anyone during wildlife sightings and always made sure every guest had enough time to fully enjoy the moment and take all the photographs they wanted. Whether we were observing lions resting in the grass, elephants crossing the road, or a rare rhino in the distance, they patiently waited until everyone in the vehicle had captured their pictures. This attention to detail showed that they genuinely cared about giving every guest the best possible safari experience.
Excellent Drivers and Safety
I have experience driving in such roads myself and can honestly say that these drivers were among the best drivers I have ever encountered. The roads and tracks in the national parks can be challenging, yet the guides handled every situation with remarkable skill, confidence, and professionalism.
Safety was always a priority. The guides consistently looked after the guests and made sure everyone felt comfortable and secure throughout the trip.
Another detail that impressed me was how efficiently and carefully they managed the luggage of all travelers. Every morning and evening, all bags were organized and loaded into the vehicle quickly and perfectly, demonstrating their experience and professionalism.
Excellent Value for Money
The safari offered incredible value for money. Considering the quality of the guides, transportation, meals, organization, wildlife experiences, and overall service, the price was very reasonable.
I chose the camping option, which is an excellent way to experience the parks closely and affordably. However, future travelers should be aware that nights can become surprisingly cold at higher elevations, especially near the Ngorongoro Crater. I would strongly recommend bringing a warm sleeping bag and a flashlight or headlamp for additional comfort.
A Birthday I Will Never Forget
One of the most touching moments of the entire trip was the surprise birthday celebration organized for me. The team arranged a lovely celebration complete with a cake, which was completely unexpected and incredibly thoughtful.
I sincerely appreciate this gesture from the bottom of my heart. It transformed an already wonderful safari into a truly unforgettable birthday memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Amazing time, thank you Seth!
The wild life was beautiful. I was so excited to go back to the Crater to see it after 10 years and it was everything that I had hoped it to be. Transportation, accommodations and our guide was absolutely lovely and everybody was wonderful, Godson was a gem and we enjoyed his humor immensely. Seth helped us book the entire tour and if I did another trip I would be going back to him. He went above and beyond helping us out with all the accommodations and making sure everything was set and ready to go. My experience for a 4 day safari was everything Peter described. He communicated with me in the states befor the holiday and guided me in every step of our journey to the time we arrived to the time we left. Even when we were done with the safari. Amazing and unique experience
Great safary experience thanks to Seth and his team. The trip was well organized, we had a huge support for everything. The camps are very basic but it is part of the experience, the food is extra and we had the opportunity to see a lot of animals thanks to our guide.

Non-professional guide
We had booked a safari for two people with a French-speaking guide. We don't speak English. We ended up with five of us in the jeep, not with the guide from the company we had booked with, but five English speakers and the English-speaking guide who explained nothing and seemed to enjoy driving very fast. We didn't have time to admire the scenery. We left the camp at 9:00 a.m. Two stars for this beautiful country. But the guide deserves zero; he wasn't interested in us at all and preferred to drive fast. We were left out for four days.

Thank you for takingy the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your safari did not meet the expectations you had when booking with us, especially regarding the French-speaking guide and the overall experience during the game drives.
First of all, we sincerely apologize that the guide assigned during the safari did not provide the level of attention, communication, and care that you deserved. Guest experience is very important to us, and after receiving your feedback, we have already discussed this internally with our driver team during our operational meetings to ensure such situations are corrected and improved moving forward.
Regarding the French-speaking guide, we would like to clarify openly that for shared safaris, especially when groups are combined between different companies and travelers of different nationalities, we unfortunately cannot fully guarantee a French-speaking guide at all times. We currently prioritize guaranteed French-speaking guides mainly for private safaris or fixed Swahili Safari Escape French groups.
In your case, we had successfully arranged a French-speaking guide for your safari. However, due to heavy Serengeti rains, he became seriously unwell during the night before departure and reported sick only hours before the safari started. At that stage, with park tickets already arranged and safari logistics confirmed, cancellation or refund was unfortunately not possible. Instead, we worked quickly to ensure your safari could still continue without interruption.
We also understand your frustration about feeling excluded because the safari was conducted mainly in English. During the briefing, we personally met you to explain the safari details, reviewed the wildlife photos together, arranged dinner support, airport drop-off assistance, and remained available for communication throughout your stay. Until receiving this review, we had not received additional complaints during the safari itself regarding the guide’s driving style or explanations.
About the shopping stop on the first day, unfortunately the shared group arrived later than expected, and some travelers needed to purchase essential toiletries and camping items before departure. We always share a recommended packing and preparation list before arrival to help avoid such delays, but in shared group safaris, some flexibility is sometimes necessary due to different travelers’ needs and schedules.
We also want to be transparent that the price you paid was already offered at a very special rate with almost no profit margin from our side, as part of our effort to expand into the French market and build trust and reviews among French-speaking travelers. Because of this, we are unfortunately unable to provide a financial refund after the safari services and park entries were fully used.
However, we genuinely value you and your feedback, and since you mentioned your wish to return to Tanzania again in the future, we would truly love the opportunity to restore your confidence in us. As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer:
1. A special returning guest discount on any future safari booked with us.
2. Additional private safari upgrade discounts if you travel again with friends or family (for example, a group of four or more travelers).
Booking style and safari flexibility can have a significant impact on the overall experience, especially regarding language expectations in shared group safaris. Despite the operational challenges, we truly tried our best to ensure your trip could continue smoothly.
