Amazing
5/5

WHAT an experience 🇹🇿

We had the chance to go on a 10 day Safari trip this summer, and it was the absolute best vacation we ever had!
Between our stay at the Masai’s with view on the Kilimanjaro, the discovery of the local culture, Tarangiri National Park, Ngorogoro Krater, Serengeti National Park, it was absolutely breathtaking and a lifetime experience!
But what made our vacation even more special, was Silas, our extraordinary guide. He made it absolutely unforgettable. He planned our whole trip, with amazing lodges, breathtaking views, a capacity of spotting all those different animals, his knowledge of all those different species, but especially because he is such a beautiful person. He is welcoming, nice, has a lot of sense of humor and much more!

I absolutely recommend Silas as a guide and would like to thank him for this unforgettable experience! Hope we’ll be lucky enough to meet you again!
Asante Sana - Hakuna Matata ☀️

★★★★★ Unforgettable 8-Day Safari with Silas – Highly Recommended!
5/5

We had one of the best trips of our lives with Silas from Luwai Safari. From day one — a relaxed start at a beautiful lodge — right through to our last days in Zanzibar, every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed.

You know that feeling when you instantly click with someone? That's Silas. He didn't think twice about picking us up from the airport at 2am on our arrival day, even though the safari itself only started two days later (we'd simply flown in early to settle in). That's just who he is.

The route through Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Central Serengeti, and all the way up to Kogatende in the North Serengeti was a dream: lions hunting zebra, beautiful male lions, baby elephants and thousands more, white rhinos, giraffes, cheetahs with cubs, a leopard hoisting its kill up a tree, countless zebras, birds, and gazelles, and finally the Great Migration with over 1,000 wildebeest crossing the river — pure goosebumps. Silas also took the time to teach us about Maasai culture along the way, the people who traditionally lived in this area — genuinely one of the most fascinating parts of the trip.

What really sets Silas apart is his eye for the perfect angle — our photos and videos look like they're straight out of a wildlife documentary, and our friends back home were blown away. Beyond that, he's simply great company — high energy and genuinely entertaining, which makes all the difference on early-morning starts and long drives. He's motivated, ambitious, and always goes the extra mile to make sure things get done right.

Silas runs his own business as a self-employed guide, and you can feel it — the personal attention and quality of service that come with that, combined with real drive to grow and keep expanding what he offers. On top of it all, he also runs a foundation supporting his local community.

If you're planning a safari in Tanzania: get in touch with Silas — you won't find better hands to be in!

Best experience ever!!!
5/5

Our safari with Luwai Tanzania Safari from July 2–11 was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we could not recommend him more highly.

From the very beginning, everything was incredibly well organized, but what made this trip truly unforgettable was the people, especially our guide, Silas. He was absolutely exceptional. His knowledge seemed endless; he could identify virtually any bird we encountered and tell us fascinating details about it, and his ability to track wildlife was unbelievable. There were moments when we could barely see an animal ourselves, sometimes only an ear above the grass, and Sillas somehow knew exactly where to look and what was happening.

Thanks to him, we were able to experience some truly unimaginable moments, including an incredible leopard sighting that he personally tracked down for us. Seeing the great wildebeest migration was another unforgettable highlight and something our family will talk about for years to come.

What made Silas so special, though, went far beyond his skills as a guide. He made our family feel completely welcomed from the moment we met him. He was so accommodating, kind, and thoughtful that it genuinely felt like we had known him for years. He didn't just show us Tanzania, he shared it with us. On our first day, he took the time to show us his town and introduce us to aspects of his culture and everyday life. That personal connection meant so much to our family, and by the end of the trip, we had developed a genuine friendship with him.

The places we stayed throughout the trip were also amazing, with beautiful views, wonderful food, and incredibly welcoming staff. Every accommodation added something special to the experience, and we always felt comfortable and well taken care of.

Our itinerary through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Central Serengeti, and Northern Serengeti gave us such an incredible variety of landscapes and wildlife, but it was the combination of the breathtaking places, unforgettable encounters, and especially the people who shared the experience with us that made this trip so meaningful.

We came to Tanzania hoping for an incredible safari, but we left with memories that our entire family will treasure for the rest of our lives, and a friendship with Silas that we never expected to make along the way.

A huge thank you to Luwai Tanzania Safari and especially to Silas for giving our family such an extraordinary experience. If you are considering a safari in Tanzania, we wholeheartedly recommend Luwai Tanzania Safari. You will be in wonderful hands.

Incredible 9 days safari in tanzania
5/5

Hello, we went on an 11-day safari, fully organized by Silas. First, we were able to visit the village where he grew up, which was an eye-opener regarding the harsh living conditions in some regions of Tanzania. We stayed 2 nights in a lodge run by members of the Maasai tribe. We learned about certain customs of this tribe, which was very interesting. Then, we visited Tarangire National Park, followed by Ngorongoro Crater, and then the central and northern Serengeti to finish. It is clearly a unique trip of its kind. Having the opportunity to spend 9 days in national parks surrounded by wildlife is exceptional. This trip would not have been as successful without Silas's guiding qualities. Indeed, he is an expert; he knows the animals, their behaviors, and where to find them. We were amazed by the quality of his explanations, his extensive knowledge of the animals and parks, his good humor, and his willingness to take care of us, whether during car trips, at meals, or in the lodges. He organized a trip that exceeded our expectations, and we are happy to have gone through him. I highly recommend this company and this guide!

Unforgettable Tanzanian safari with Silas
5/5

Our 11-day safari with Luwai Tanzania Safari, guided by Silas, was truly the trip of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived at Kilimanjaro International Airport and began our safari in Arusha, until our relaxing beach stay in Zanzibar, every detail was perfectly organized.

Our journey took us through Tarangire National Park, Karatu, the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti, and Northern Serengeti before flying to Zanzibar. Every destination offered something unique, and thanks to Silas, we experienced the very best that Tanzania has to offer.

The game drives were incredible. We enjoyed early morning, midday, and sunset safaris, each revealing different aspects of the African wilderness. We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five, witness the breathtaking Great Migration, and countless other unforgettable wildlife encounters. Every day exceeded our expectations.

Silas planned our entire vacation with exceptional professionalism. His communication before and during the trip was excellent, giving us complete confidence that everything was taken care of. The lodges he selected were outstanding, offering beautiful locations in the heart of nature, excellent amenities, delicious food, and warm hospitality. Even the connecting flight to Zanzibar was seamless and stress-free.

What truly made this safari extraordinary was Silas himself. He is an exceptional guide—professional, punctual, incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife, birds, and the natural environment, and passionate about sharing his expertise. He always seemed to know where to find the best wildlife and the hidden gems that made every game drive special.

Beyond his expertise, Silas is kind, humble, respectful, funny, and easy to spend time with. After 11 days together, we felt we were traveling with a trusted friend rather than just a guide. We always felt safe, comfortable, and in the very best hands.

We cannot recommend Luwai Tanzania Safari and Silas highly enough. If you’re looking for an authentic, well-organized, and unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania, look no further. Thank you, Silas, for creating memories that will stay with us forever. We hope to return one day!

An exceptionnel experience thanks to a dedicated guide, Silas Nassary.
5/5

What an incredible experience! We booked a 10-day safari with Luwai Safari Tanzania, led by Silas Nassary, and it far exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, Silas took care of every detail, creating a seamless itinerary through Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Central and Northern Serengeti. The lodges were exceptional, offering every comfort you could wish for after a day of adventure.

What truly made this safari unforgettable was Silas himself. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife and parks, his passion for conservation, and his genuine commitment to ensuring we had the best possible experience made every day special. His ability to spot animals, share fascinating insights, and tailor the experience to our interests turned an amazing trip into a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

Luwai Safari Tanzania is a family-run business founded by Silas and his wife, and their dedication shines through in every aspect of the experience. They are trustworthy, professional, and genuinely care about their guests. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and we couldn’t have asked for more.

There is absolutely nothing we would change or criticize. It was an 11 out of 10 experience, and we would recommend Luwai Safari Tanzania without hesitation to anyone looking for an authentic, unforgettable safari in Tanzania.

My experience with Luwai Safari was an amazing safari. Silas my safari guide made sure I saw lions and elephants. The accommodations were first class and the meals were absolutely delicious. Even our lunches were amazing! I cannot express enough how amazing my safari to Tarangire national park, Mt. Kilaminjaro day hike and Ngorongoro crater were and it was due to the great planning of Luwai safari and my guide Silas. Also, the staff Happy at Luwai was amazing to work with.

Best safari ever!
5/5

After booking a safari with a local operator in Arusha/Tanzania several times in the last few years, I came across Luwai Tanzania Safaris by chance while planning the last safari on the Internet. My first request was answered within a very short time and competently by Silas, the owner of this still relatively young company. It soon became clear that this time we would book with him. That was an excellent decision, as it turned out. With the help of Silas, my proposal turned into a perfect (and very fair priced) safari. Silas himself picked us up at the airport. Over the next nine days he showed us the parks of Arusha, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu in the south of the Serengeti and the central Serengeti. Thanks to his eagle eyes we saw sooooo many animals!!! And we learned a lot from him about land and nature! His English is excellent, I could always understand everything. I've never had a guide do his job with so much enthusiasm and passion! I hope to support Silas a little bit with this report. Silas, we came as guests and left as friends. Asante sana for the wonderful days, and hopefully kwa heri.

A truly magical, authentic, once-in-a-lifetime safari experience with a passionate local company and
5/5

We, a couple from Belgium, booked our safari with Luwai Tanzania Safaris, a local company run by Silas Nassary, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip to Tanzania.
Silas has over 10 years of experience and runs his own business with a genuine passion. This is not just a job for him, it’s his life’s work. He truly knows what he’s doing: his knowledge of wildlife, parks, and routes is impressive, and his communication is clear, friendly, and professional. From the very start we felt we could completely trust him to plan everything well and to tailor the trip to our wishes. He worked literally from sunrise to sunset for us every day during our 7-day safari. That kind of dedication and care is rare.
At the end of this trip, we can say that he truly cares about you and goes above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. So don’t miss out and if you want to book a safari, go with Luwai Tanzania Safaris!
We deliberately chose to travel with a local Tanzanian operator instead of a large international company, because we wanted our money to go directly to the people who actually make your safari happen. When you book locally, you’re supporting someone who truly earns it. You get someone who genuinely cares and who gives you an authentic and personal experience rather than a standard tour. And as a bonus, this way there’s also a bit more of your budget left for better lodges, longer game drives, …
If you’re looking for an authentic and once-in-a-lifetime safari, there’s no one we’d recommend more than Luwai Tanzania Safaris and Silas! It wasn’t just a trip, it was a magical experience.

A fantastic guide full of enthusiasm. He's always smiling, always positive.
5/5

What an unforgettable trip! We had a fantastic safari through two different parks in Tanzania, the highlight of which was witnessing the Great Migration in the Serengeti—a breathtaking spectacle we will never forget. Our guide, Silas, was amazing: enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and with an infectious passion for nature. When booking the trip, he helped us by sharing his own experiences. He always remained positive and made the safari enjoyable, even when there wasn't much to see. Thanks to him, we saw and learned an incredible amount. Everything was perfectly organized; we didn't have to worry about a thing. We also visited a school that Silas himself supports with his own Iuwai foundation.
Highly recommended!
