Great team, good staff, very competitive prices
We travelled with Zanzi in July 2026 and had an amazing time. Communication with them was smooth, and they helped answer a lot of our questions when planning! We climbed Kilimanjaro via the 7-day Machame Route and did a 4-day Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro safari as well. Staff (guides, porters, cooks) were amazing throughout and went above and beyond to make our time in Tanzania special. We joined a group public tour for Kilimanjaro but were only 2, and for Safari, we had 4 more people with us in the car. The Zanzi team also helped us plan the itinerary and were flexible and understanding. This package was also the most value for money. I did research and spoke with many different companies, but Zanzi gave the best quotes. Restituta also went out of her way to make my stay safe and uncomfortable. I highly recommend booking with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris!
Amazing Kilimanjaro summit with Charles, Isack and their incredible crew!!
I recently finished a 7-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho-route and I find no words for my experience. As me and my two friends booked the hike, we received an amazing price offer and access to an amazing communication crew ready to assist us from the very first beginning.
Our view of the company started at top, but got even better as we met our amazing crew as the trek started. We immidately got an incredibly professional view of our amazing main guide Charles, who came several times to our hotel to assist us in our preparations, being ready to show up whenever we wanted. With his long experience of the mountain, calm voice and knowledge about the trek, Charles was always there for us and made us feel safe even during the last tough days to the top!
Also, we had the amazing opportunity to meet our lovely Isack. With his positivity and motivating energy, Isack made us smile even when we felt at our lowest mode on the tough trek. I have seldom met someone so warm, serviceminded and motivating as him, a guide who made our vacation so much funnier than we could ever have expected! He and Charles were a real dream team to bring to the top!
In addition, we had an amazing crew of porters and an amazing chef! When we booked the trip, we were sure it was about to be a budget trek because of the affordable price. But our chef Dastan proved us wrong from the very first day. As we arrived at the first camp site, we were met by an amazing dining tent filled with one of the tastiest soups we had ever eaten. And it did not stop there. Right after the starter, we received incredibly tasty dishes with standards better than a hotel restaurant. With fresh fruit, a big variation of soups and tasty dishes of all kinds, Dastan gave us an culinary experience and energy that made our summit possible, I don’t know how to thank him enough.
Also, we would like to thank our patient and ambitious waitor Pita. Every morning, no matter the time, Pita came to our tents to serve us with amazing coffee and tea. With a big smile on his lips, he worked extremely hard carrying heavy equipment, before quickly being ready to serve us whenever we wanted.
And lastly, a big thank to the rest of the serviceminded, hard-working and positive porter crew, who everyday packed our stuff and prepared them for us before we arrived to every camp. With dance, big smiles and hard work, they made our Kilimanjaro trek all the way to the top possible, even making it feel easy for us. So a big thank you to Charles, Isack, Dastan, Pita and all amazing porters making our dream come true. It feels amazing being a part of your familiy :)

I think Zanzi Trekking and Safaris provided a really enjoyable mountainhiking experience. First of all, im really happy with the guides, Charles and Isac and how they treated their client. Both Isac and Charles made the environment between the group feel comfortable and relaxing. Also i felt very safe during this week. The guides had safety into consideration in every moment, and made sure nothing went wrong when it comes to safety. For example, thay always make sure we drink enough water, wearing the required clothes depending on the circumstances. But everything little thing beyond that too. It just felt like nothing really could not go wrong and if it did, for example if somwone slipped, the guides were always there to make sure i was okay. They were also really good at motivation, singing songs and doing peptalks, always when we needed it the most.
Other than that, I also want to speak up about the crew, the portars, the cook, the waiter.
I think the crew did an amazing job i really think they provided with alot more quality service than any of us clients expected. Even though there were though moments and alot of carrying, I saw them always having a smile on their faces. It was like their energy spread to us, and made us clients more comfortable and excited. Cöimbing with these guys, this crew, I could feel they are nice people, and they want the client their best, and they want their client to achieve their dreams of reaching the summit. When i realized the whome team being happy for us, it made feel even more excited and kept me pushing to the top.
I would definitely recommend safari trekking and Safari someone who is looking to climb Kiliminjaro.

Zanzi's organisation of our trip was faultless from start to finish!
A wonderful holiday!!! The safari was amazing, so many close encounters with the animals, all the Lodges were really good and our guide, Humphrey, was fab! Informative, helpful, patient, fun to be with and an asset to the company.
Zanzibar was beautiful and all the transfers went smoothly.
Would definitely recommend this company.

Great Experience!
We booked an 11-day safari across Kenya and Tanzania, visiting all the major national parks and seeing more wildlife than I ever expected. The guides were highly knowledgeable and skilled drivers. Everyone was always very helpful and ready to assist or accommodate us whenever any issues or hitches arose. I highly recommend choosing them—just be aware that an 11-day safari is tiring; don't expect luxury resorts or big hotels—here, you see and experience the real Africa!
7 Days Machame Route – A Real Adventure ✨🏔️
The 7 Days Machame Route to Kilimanjaro was an incredible adventure. We went as a group of 5 friends, accompanied by our amazing guides: Justin, Naomi, and Zacharia, as well as by 17 crew members, including lovely Kelvin, Dastan, and George, who made sure we are fed, warm, and happy at all times.
I would not have made it to the summit if it wasn't for them. The trek was very challenging due to the altitude but the crew motivated us every step of the way whilst making sure we are safe to continue.
I would definitely recommend Zanzi Trekking and especially our Crew 💫 🌋

Excellent safari with wonderful viewings of the Big 5 and other animals
The overall experience was 4.5. Two different guides with outstanding knowledge resulted in a viewing of the Big 5 and all other animals that one would want to see on a safari.
From a lodging perspective, two out of three stays were outstanding. The exception was last minute/ day of change from a potential glamping experience to the Serengti Wildlife Lodge. Staying in a 70's built hotel and labelled as an upgrade was a downer. The trip was paid for well in advance so a day of notice regarding no availability at the originally stated lodge was quite disappointing.
Overall, I am comfortable with recommending this company. When obtaining a quote for a solo or small group safari, clarification should be received on the details for a shared tour.
Bundling a luxury tour package with participants on a budget tour package can impact travel logistics.

We are especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the wildlife experience and that our guides made a positive impression. Their knowledge and dedication are a very important part of what we aim to provide.
Regarding the accommodation, we are really sorry for your disappointment with the change, especially as it happened close to your stay. Indeed, the original lodge was fully booked for the period we wanted to book, so we had to arrange an alternative.
This is quite common in tourism and is clearly mentioned in our quotes, terms and conditions.
We also believed that we had communicated the change during the briefing meeting, but it may be our fault that the information was not clear enough to you. We will work on improving this.
The alternative, Serengeti Wildlife Lodge, was also a luxury property and was selected based on the best options available at the time. Nevertheless, we are genuinely sorry that it did not meet your expectations. We will take this feedback seriously when selecting this accommodation or any other alternatives in the future.
Regarding shared safaris, their main purpose is as you might know to reduce costs compared with more expensive private safaris, while also giving guests the opportunity to share the experience with other travellers rather than travelling alone.
Guests sharing a vehicle can therefore have different packages, accommodation categories and budgets.
We always try to combine guests with similar budget and accommodation levels. When this is not possible, we make every effort to select lodges as close to each other as possible, avoiding unnecessary driving and loss of time. We also provide all our clients with an information document explaining the main aspects of shared safaris before their trip (together with every quote we send).
We agree that clear communication is essential, and we will continue improving this to ensure guests have the right expectations.

A friendly and helpful tour operator!
Communications with Zanzi prior to the trip were excellent, Honest and Denis were very helpful and arranged an excellent itinerary to allow us to see all of the major sights of the safari in 5 days. Excellent value for money, Zanzi provide very competitive prices for their trips. The tour itself was good, and we were able to see all of the animals - well done Zanzi on a good trip!

Great time with the lovely Zanzi family
We had an amazing time with the Zanzi family on the Kilimanjaro. Issack, our main guide, assisted by Jumanne, did such a great job by getting us to the summit! Along the route we talked, laughed, sang and smiled, but most importantly, they made sure we got there safe and happy, especially during the summit day. Twice a day we got checked on heart rate, oxygen level and how we felt. During the checkup, we discussed the upcoming day. Issack and Jumanne encouraged us, were always supportive and positive, hakuna matata!
We were planning on doing the Machame route in 7 days, but because everything went well, we decided together to do it in 6 days. That was a really good choice and shows that the team was willing to help and do what was best for us. The rest of the crew was amazing too. We have so much respect for the porters, all so friendly and helpful, we came nothing short. From good food, to a prepared tent, conversations about football and all the Swahili words they taught us.
The communication before hand was good and clear, we would definitely recommend Zanzi Trekking.

Our guide showed us everything animal and it was very organized.
Our 4-day safari through Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was an unforgettable experience and exceeded all of our expectations. We saw an incredible variety of wildlife and were amazed by the beautiful landscapes every day. A huge thank you to our guide for being so knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to finding amazing animal sightings while making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip. We also want to thank our chef for preparing such delicious, fresh, and varied meals every day—it was hard to believe such great food could be made while camping! We truly appreciate all the hard work that went into making this adventure so memorable and would highly recommend this safari to anyone visiting Tanzania.
