I saw the Big Five in Tanzania!
I had the best time in Tanzania with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris! It was the most amazing trip of my life. We went on safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara, and I saw so many animals: lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos and even the Big Five! My favorite part was seeing the animals so close in real life, it felt like being inside a movie. I also loved the waterfalls and visiting Chemka village, where everyone was so kind and welcoming. Our guides were super nice and funny, and they always helped us find the animals and told us lots of cool facts. The lodges and the hotel were beautiful, and the food was really yummy. I’m still thinking about this trip every day, and I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much to the Zanzi team for the best memories ever. I recommend them to everyone, and I really hope we can go back one day!

The magical Tanzanian trip
An Unforgettable Experience with Zanzi Trekking Safari! 🇹🇿❤️
Our trip to Tanzania was simply PERFECT! An incredible, unforgettable experience from beginning to end.
Exploring the magnificent Serengeti and Tarangire National Parks, the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park was an absolute dream. Each place offered something unique, with spectacular landscapes, incredible wildlife and unforgettable safari moments.
One of the greatest highlights was discovering Tanzania's extraordinary wildlife in its natural habitat. Seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos and so many other fascinating animals was simply breathtaking. Spotting the famous Big Five – lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffaloes made our safari even more exciting and memorable. An experience we will never forget!
Everything was exceptionally well organised, from the amazing safari adventures to the carefully selected lodges, delicious meals and comfortable accommodation.
Every day brought something special! The wonderful atmosphere, the chance to dance every evening to Hakuna Matata, the breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable encounters made this journey truly magical.
We particularly loved visiting the beautiful waterfalls and discovering the authentic charm of Materuni village. The kindness and warm hospitality of the local people made us feel so welcome. We discovered village life, explored its natural beauty, followed the traditional steps of coffee preparation, from harvesting to roasting, and enjoyed drinking coffee together in such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Another highlight was our visit to Chemka Hot Springs, where we enjoyed a wonderful swim in the beautiful natural turquoise waters.
Even my daughters, despite their young age, were absolutely fascinated by everything they experienced. They enjoyed every moment, from the wildlife and national parks to the cultural visits and natural wonders.
We also loved the accommodations selected for us, especially Greenside Hotel. Every detail contributed to making our stay enjoyable.
A very special thank you to Mr Honest for his professionalism, kindness, availability and attention to every detail. Many thanks also to the entire team, especially Haroun, Ramadan and the substitute guide, for their dedication, warm welcome and excellent service.
The only thing we regret is not having booked a longer stay! We simply didn't want this beautiful adventure to end. Tanzania has so much to offer, and we would have loved to spend even more time discovering its wonders.
Thank you, Zanzi Trekking Safari, for giving us memories that will last a lifetime.
Here are some of our unforgettable pictures, capturing just a little of the beauty, happiness and magic we experienced together! 📸❤️
We highly recommend Zanzi Trekking Safari to anyone dreaming of discovering Tanzania. Excellent organisation, wonderful people and unforgettable experiences!

Wonderful safari and Kili climb
I had a wonderful experience with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris, both on a custom safari in the northern Serengeti and climbing Kilimanjaro!
We did the safari with Aaron, who was incredibly knowledgeable, great company, and took care of all our needs throughout the trip. The itinerary was perfectly tailored to us, with lovely campsites and great meals. Everything felt thoughtfully planned and personal, so we could relax and enjoy our time in the Serengeti.
For Kilimanjaro, we were a group of five friends taking on the seven-day Machame Route. Our guides, Justin, Zaka and Naomi, were fantastic, and the whole crew looked after us so well. From meals and camp arrangements to encouragement on the harder days, they took care of every need. Their warmth, patience and support made a challenging trek so much more enjoyable.
What stood out across both trips was how much everyone cared about making the experience special. A huge thank you to Aaron and our Kilimanjaro crew! I would happily recommend Zanzi to anyone planning a safari or a Kilimanjaro climb.

Amazing Experience! I got to see the Big 5 and so much more!!
What an amazing experience on safari organized by Zanzi tours. The safari itself was just simply amazing. The time in Zanzibar was wonderful as well! My safari guide was excellent. I would give him 10 stars out of 5! The safari vehicle had some issues, but the guide kept us safe and was able to resolve the issues with teamwork. I had a minor issue the first night is I had food poisoning (boxed lunch not properly refrigerated), but I felt better the next morning. Both nights camping, I had access to electricity for my C-Pap. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Zanzi Tours.
The best hike with Isaack and Naomi
We could not have had a better experience completing our Kilimanjaro hike with Isaack and Naomi.
Isaack John was our head guide. It was clear right from our pre-trek briefing that he was a knowledgeable, organised, detail-oriented, and considered guide whom we had full confidence in his ability to take us up the mountain. His concern for our comfort and safety was clear from the start in the thorough approach he took to ensuring we had the right kit. On the mountain, he continued that same confidence-ensuring care. He was so diligent in both checking in on our health and also carefully explaining to us what would be required in our next day’s hike. He was also great fun to hike with - consistently, full of jokes, good stories, and songs. This was all instrumental in keeping us motivated through the hardest parts of the hike (Kilimanjaro is not for the faint-hearted!), especially on that summit night.
Naomi Palangyo was just fantastic. Right from the off, we found her to be an enthusiastic guide who was a lot of fun to be around. Naomi had a huge depth of knowledge of the mountain but also took a truly caring approach to helping us get up the mountain. She seemed to be able to read exactly when the pace needed to slow a little, where we were tired or finding the hike harder, or when we were needing motivation. She was a constantly sunny presence on the mountain, whose optimism never wavered, and we just really enjoyed being around her.
Nicholas Limu cooked up a storm for us every breakfast, lunch, and dinner of our hike. We hadn’t expected our climb to turn into a tasty introduction to Tanzanian cuisine but it did! Particular highlights included Mchuzi wa Samaki (a fish curry with tomato, ginger, and coconut), steak kebabs and fried rice, and (a real home comfort for us) his own version of pizza and pasta bolognese. His soups were also real warmers on the cold nights on the mountain.
John Assey was our waiter throughout the week but that really undersells his role in that he was responsible for making our stay at camp as comfortable as possible. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. As well as serving us dinner, waking us up, and getting us bowls for washing, he really helped us out in sorting us out with charging packs when our own stopped working. Throughout this, he was upbeat and a delight to be around - even when he had to wake us at 11pm in the middle of bitter near-hurricane force winds to get us up for our summit hike!
Praygood Daudi was also excellent as our summit porter. Like Naomi and Issack, he was instrumental in motivating us to the top, and, quite literally at one point, dragged us up the mountain.
There were then our porters - George, Anoldi, Godson Eliamani, Dereck Nyangusi, and Bernardi. We still have no idea how they managed to lift the entirety of camp up the mountain each day. Their presence at camp and coming to meet us at the end of each day always lifted our spirits. Special shout-out also to George for helping our exhausted bodies find their footing on the downhill from the summit, and for wiping the dust off our boots at the end of each day.
I cannot recommend Zanzi highly enough!

A phenomenal Kilimanjaro experience
What a phenomenal experience! We had Charles and Zach as our guides and a team of porters who were all absolute legends. Full of experience and knowledge, and always with a smile, they were all so kind and friendly and ensured that the four of us in the group all got the the summit of Kilimanjaro and back in one piece. Would recommend them to everyone

happily recommend Zanzi Trekking and Safaris
I joined a 5-day safari with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris, and overall I had a really memorable and enjoyable experience.
During the trip, I visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire, and I was lucky enough to see so many amazing animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and even a wildebeest river crossing, which was one of the highlights of my entire trip.
Our guide worked hard to find the animals and communicated with other guides to give us the best possible game-drive experience. Even when plans changed or there were things that needed to be coordinated, the staff stayed in contact with me through WhatsApp and tried their best to help.
On my last day, I had an evening flight from Arusha, and they kept checking with the driver to make sure I could get to the airport on time. I really appreciated how much they cared about this until the very end.
The camping safari was definitely an adventure, but that was also part of what made the experience special. I felt safe throughout the five days and came home with so many unforgettable memories.
Thank you to the whole team for taking care of me. I would happily recommend Zanzi Trekking and Safaris to other travelers, especially Korean travelers looking for a real safari experience in Tanzania! 😊

Marvelous
Our assistant, Restie, and our guide, Bakari, are both very nice and professional. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the trip. They were always helpful and made us feel safe and reassured. We would definitely choose them again if we come back to Tanzania!

Reliable and Professional Kilimanjaro Operators
Booking our 7 day Lemosho hike on Kilimanjaro through Zanzi Trekking and Safari was a very straightforward affair. Communication with the office was quick and clear and we were very pleased to see an operator with very budget friendly travel options was also KPAP partnered, something which was a dealbreaker for us when choosing an operator!
The trek itself was magical, George and Lazaro our guides were accommodating and knowledgeable and looked after us every step of the way, the food cooked by our chef Basili was delicious and every porter was so friendly and greeted us when we arrived at camp or when passing us on the trails.
If you’re looking at doing Kilimanjaro and want amazing value for money, a professional experience and to hike with a KPAP partnered operator I can’t recommend Zanzi Trekking and Safari enough

Absolutely reliable and focused on the needs and wishes of the customers
I booked, as a solo travler, a „6-day Northern Parks Safari with
Migration“ with Zanzi in September 2026. We went to Tarangire Np, Serengeti Np, Ngorogoro and Lake Manyara Np. Every place has his very own character and is absolutly worth seeing (i just would not advertise Lake Manyara with the ‘tree climbing Lions ’, so that no false hopes are raised. There are other highlights, such as hot springs, which could be highlighted).
Our mixed group was so lucky to have had Aron as our Driver/Guide and also Erick as an additional Guide. These two gave our Safari a very personal, special and fun touch, i loved it. They always did their very best to fulfil our wishes, and whilst Aron was able to concentrate on the road, we were able to ask Erick all sorts of questions about animals, people, cultur, the local area and everything we were interested about.
As a vegetarian, the food had not that much variety, but it was daily delicious and enough.
After my safari, I had some free time in Arusha, during which Restituta showed me round. She took care of the planning and had great recommendations for what to do and was generally always available throughout the whole trip. Everyone I’ve met at Zanzi has always provided me with excellent service; i have felt very well looked after and welcomed.
One thing i would change: driving up from central Serengeti to the Mara River in Northern Serengeti to see the Great Migration and on the same day back is too much time spend in the car, just driving main road. I would recommend to stay at least one night in nothern Serengeti to increase the chance to see the Great Migration, or skip the trip to the northern part and spend the valuable time in central Serengeti at a game drive.
Asante sana to everyone involved - You have enriched my life with so many wonderful and unforgettable moments!
