The client shall acknowledge an awareness of the proposed itinerary and shall confirm that he or she is medically fit, in good physical and mental health and is able to embark on the trip. Any client with a pre-existing medical condition or illness must declare the true nature of such a condition to Safari Joe before the start of the trip, failure to declare may result in the cancellation of his/her booking. Travel insurance is mandatory. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, emergency travel, personal accident, personal baggage and money loss from the time of booking your safari. Insurance can be arranged by your travel agent. It is your responsibility to ensure that adequate insurance cover is obtained. Safari Joe will not be liable in any way whatsoever should you fail to do so.

5. Booking
Bookings shall be confirmed immediately upon receipt of your Booking Form and deposit (25% deposit per person at the time of booking). Any such deposit is strictly non-refundable. The deposit constitutes part of the booking conditions and Safari Joe reserves the right to cancel any booking in the event of the deposit or any part thereof not being received by the due date specified therefore. Once a booking has been confirmed, Safari Joe guarantees not to surcharge on the price of the safari. However such guarantee does not cover increases in airfares, visas, taxes or local operator costs. Any increase in the booking price occasioned by the fluctuation in exchange rates between the date of quotation and the date of final payment shall be for your account.

6. Final Payment
On receipt of your deposit we will send you a guide of what to bring with you as well as further useful information. Final payment for any booking must be irrevocably credited to the account of Safari Joe at least 60 days prior to the date of departure, unless specific arrangements have been made with and confirmed in writing by Safari Joe. Any bookings made less than 60 days prior to the departure date must be accompanied by the full quoted and confirmed price, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Safari Joe. Payment of any such invoice and/or statement must be made in full, without deduction or set-off, on the due date therefore, notwithstanding cancellation of all or any part of the services booked by Safari Joe.

10. Passports/Visas
Each client is responsible for ensuring that their passports and any other travel documents are valid for the duration of the safari plus at least six months afterwards. Travel documentation such as passports and visas are not included in the trip price.

11. Accommodation
Accommodation is on a sharing basis (two adults). If you do not wish to share accommodation a single supplement fee is applicable. In certain locations there is the option for clients to upgrade to rooms at an extra expense to themselves.

12. Liability
While all precautions are taken to ensure our passenger's safety and enjoyment on these trips, travel carries some measure of inherent risk including, but not limited to, the hazards of travelling in underdeveloped areas where road conditions and other facilities may be poor or lacking; the forces of nature, and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation. Safari Joe and/or its agents and suppliers shall not be liable and do not accept any responsibility for any client in respect of loss, injury, illness, damage, accident, fatality, delay or inconvenience caused in any manner whatsoever from time of departure to time of return or for a change of itinerary due to any acts of terrorism, acts of God and government, neglect, accident, error or omission, caused by any of these suppliers or independent contractors, their employees, representatives or any event beyond the control of Safari Joe. In the unlikely event of Safari Joe cancelling a trip, all money paid out to Safari Joe will be refunded in full. Safari Joe will not be liable for any other expenses incurred by the client.

13. Viewing Animals
Please be advised that all wild animals are potentially dangerous. Please do not disembark from the vehicle in non-designated areas unless told to do so. When it comes to game viewing, please understand that there are no guarantees. It is a privilege to see an animal in its natural habitat and bear in mind that animals are continuously moving to fulfil their ecological needs.

14. Changes to the Itinerary
Safari Joe trips have been organised many months in advance and it may become necessary to make alterations to your holiday. Occasionally we may be forced to make changes en route due to poor road conditions, weather, game movements, vehicle breakdown or other circumstances out of our control. A flexible attitude is important. No responsibility is accepted for delays experienced as a result of any of the above mentioned. Whilst every effort is made to adhere to the confirmed itineraries, Safari Joe reserves the right to effect changes should this be deemed necessary. In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown that is beyond our control and immediate repair, we will arrange to have the spare part sent to the current location in the fastest possible time. Safari Joe reserves the right to alter the itinerary accordingly in order to make up any time lost due to any unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, where an alteration to the trip itinerary is necessitated by, for example, a change in weather conditions, this does not constitute any ground for a refund. In the event of there being an unscheduled extension to the booking caused by flight delay, bad weather, strike or any other cause that is beyond the control of Safari Joe, it is understood that expenses relating to such unscheduled extensions (e.g., hotel accommodation and food) will be for your account. In the event that any supplier is unable to provide the service booked on your behalf, Safari Joe will endeavour to offer you alternative arrangements of similar classification and in the same area, wherever possible. Should you be unwilling or unable to accept the alternative arrangements offered by Safari Joe, any refunds to which you may be entitled is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier.

15. Behaviour
A booking is accepted on the strict understanding that the client undertakes to comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange, drug and all other regulations of all countries visited on safari, as well as safety and security rules as outlined by Safari Joe on the trip. Do be aware that in the event that a client is found violating such rules or laws and regulations or otherwise prejudicing the safety or well being of the group or progress of the trip, we may terminate your trip with us without any liability on our part.

16. Marketing Materials
Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our safaris may be used by Safari Joe without charge in all media for bona fide promotional or marketing purposes such as in brochures, video shows and the internet.
