Roam Africa Safaris – Guest Terms & Conditions

We can’t wait to welcome you on safari! To make sure everything runs smoothly, here are the key things you need to know before booking your trip with us.

1. Bookings

Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send you written confirmation.

Please double-check that all names, dates, and details you provide match your passport/ID.

2. Payments

A deposit (usually 30%) secures your spot.

The balance is due 60 days before your safari starts.

If you book within 60 days of travel, the full payment is needed upfront.

3. Cancellations

If you need to cancel, let us know in writing.

Cancellation fees apply depending on how close you are to your travel date:

More than 60 days: deposit is non-refundable

59–30 days: 50% of total cost

Less than 30 days: 100% of total cost

Refunds depend on our suppliers (lodges, airlines, transfers).

4. Changes

We’ll do our best to accommodate changes you request, but extra costs may apply.

Sometimes we may need to adjust routes, lodges, or activities for safety, weather, or supplier reasons.

5. Travel Documents & Insurance

Please make sure your passport, visas, and vaccinations are up to date.

Comprehensive travel insurance (covering medical care, cancellations, baggage, etc.) is required.

6. Health & Safety

Safaris can involve bumpy drives, walking on uneven ground, and being close to wildlife.

Please let us know about any medical conditions.

Participation is at your own risk, and you’ll need to follow your guide’s instructions at all times.

7. Our Responsibility

We work with trusted lodges, airlines, and transport providers, but we can’t be held responsible for delays, injuries, or issues caused by third parties.

Safaris involve natural risks (wild animals, weather, road conditions), which are part of the adventure.

8. Children

Children are welcome, but some lodges and activities have age restrictions.

Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of their children.

9. Complaints

If something isn’t right, please tell your guide or our team right away so we can help.

If not resolved, you can send us a written complaint within 14 days after your trip.

10. Legal

Our safaris are operated under South African law, and any disputes will fall under South African courts.
