Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before booking your tour with us.
1. Booking & Confirmation
All tour bookings must be confirmed by email, phone, or written agreement.
A deposit may be required to secure your reservation.
Bookings are confirmed only after SMT Tour Ethiopia receives the agreed payment.
2. Payments
Tour prices are quoted in USD or Euro
Full payment must be completed before the start of the tour unless another agreement has been made.
Bank transfer fees or international transaction charges are the responsibility of the client.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellation charges may apply depending on the timing of the cancellation and services already booked.
Flights, hotel reservations, permits, and transport costs that have already been paid may be non-refundable.
Suggested Cancellation Fees
30 days before arrival: 10% charge
15–29 days before arrival: 25% charge
7–14 days before arrival: 50% charge
Less than 7 days before arrival: No refund
SMT Tour Ethiopia reserves the right to adjust this policy depending on suppliers and circumstances.
4. Changes to Itinerary
SMT Tour Ethiopia may adjust itineraries due to weather conditions, road conditions, local events, government regulations, or safety concerns.
We will always try to provide similar services and experiences whenever possible.
5. Travel Documents & Insurance
Clients are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and travel documents.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering:
Medical emergencies
Trip cancellation
Personal belongings
Flight delays
Emergency evacuation
6. Health & Fitness
Some tours involve trekking, hiking, long drives, and high-altitude destinations.
Clients should ensure they are physically fit for the activities booked.
Any medical conditions or dietary requirements should be communicated before the tour begins.
7. Responsibility & Liability
SMT Tour Ethiopia acts as a tour operator and organizer for transport, hotels, guides, and other services.
We are not responsible for:
Flight delays or cancellations
Loss of baggage or personal items
Injuries, illnesses, or accidents beyond our control
Political unrest, natural disasters, or force majeure events
Clients participate in tours at their own risk.
8. Client Conduct
Clients are expected to respect local laws, traditions, cultures, and religious practices.
SMT Tour Ethiopia reserves the right to remove any traveler whose behavior causes danger, damage, or serious disruption to others.
9. Photography & Media
SMT Tour Ethiopia may use photos or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
10. Accommodation & Transportation
Hotels and lodges are subject to availability.
Similar-standard accommodation may be provided if necessary.
Transport vehicles are selected according to route conditions and group size.
11. Guide & Driver Authority
Tour guides and drivers have authority regarding safety, timing, and operational decisions during the trip.
Clients are expected to follow reasonable instructions for the safety and comfort of the group.
12. Complaints
Any complaints should be reported immediately during the tour so we can try to resolve the issue promptly.
Written complaints after the tour should be submitted within 14 days.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a tour with SMT Tour Ethiopia, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
