Sindbad Tours was founded in 2010 by a small team of Zanzibari guides who grew tired of seeing travelers herded onto cookie cutter tours. We named ourselves after Sindbad the legendary sailor of the Swahili coast because we believe every journey should be an adventure worth telling.
Today we run over 30 tours and safaris across Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania, but our mission hasn't changed: show people the real East Africa, treat them like family, and price everything honestly
