We are a licensed tour operator founded by a team of voluntourists with over 5 years of experience in both tourism and voluntourism. We specialize in organizing safaris to Tanzania, and sponsoring free heart treatment programs for children, thus providing them with a second chance at life.
Why are we doing this?
With a population of 62 million, Tanzania is experiencing 2 million live births every year. Approximately 16,000 children are born with congenital heart defects (CHD), and 4,000 urgently require surgery within the first year of life.
With only one heart hospital, less than 2% receive the necessary surgery due to low awareness, limited access, and affordability issues. CHD stands as the 3rd leading cause of early childhood death in the country.
We operate a licensed and compliant tourism business to sponsor free children's heart treatment programs through The One New Heart Tanzania.
One Heart Travel Limited, although officially founded in 2023, has been supporting free children's heart treatment missions organized by The One New Heart Tanzania non-profit since 2019 and has already served 901 children from Tanzania and neighboring countries.
50% of our profit is dedicated to sponsoring free heart treatment for Tanzanian children in need.
