Our Story
Let's Wander Tanzania was born from a simple belief: the best way to experience Tanzania is through genuine human connections.Our founder, Christian John Mabula, began his journey in the tourism industry by studying Tourism Management and working with some of Tanzania's leading tour companies. Over the years, he gained valuable experience guiding travelers, designing itineraries, and learning what makes a truly unforgettable safari.But there was one thing he felt was often missing: authentic local experiences that allowed visitors to connect with Tanzania beyond the famous wildlife parks.
In 2016, while hosting travelers through Couchsurfing, Christian discovered a different side of tourism. Instead of simply taking visitors to popular attractions, he invited them to share meals with local families, explore villages, walk through farms, visit markets, and experience everyday life in Tanzania. The feedback was incredible. Travelers loved these genuine encounters and often said these moments became the highlight of their tripspired by these experiences, Christian decided to leave the traditional path and create his own company. His vision was clear: to build a travel company that combines Tanzania's world-famous wildlife with meaningful cultural experiences and personal connections.
What started as a passion project with a few guests has grown into Let's Wander Tanzania, a trusted local tour company welcoming travelers from around the world. Today, we organize safaris, cultural tours, family adventures, honeymoon trips, and tailor-made experiences that showcase both the iconic and hidden treasures of Tanzaniaspite our growth, our philosophy remains unchanged. We treat every guest as a friend, not just a booking number. We believe the most memorable journeys are not only about seeing animals or landscapes they are about the people you meet, the stories you hear, and the experiences that stay with you long after you return home.
