As a wildlife park this was somewhat disappointing after visiting Murchison falls although the Kazinga channel boat road was well worth doing.

Its a good national park. Going into the gorge to see chimps here was really amazing. I think we liked it more than Kibale, but that could be situational. The park had all the things you were looking for though maybe more limited than say the Serengeti. We really enjoyed the boat ride in the channel, especially for the birding.

Animals very close and so many different species. We even found a Leopard in the trees! Safari guides very respectful towards bush and animal as there are no safari car leaving the roads!

In comparison with other safari destinations that we've visited (in Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania), this park lacks the proliferation and diversity of wildlife we've seen elsewhere. It's still a worthwhile destination but your expectations need to be aligned with the opportunities to see animals (especially predators) at close range. The birding was good.

Unbeatable Boat Safari: Cruising down the Kazinga Channel gets you within touching distance of massive pods of hippos, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife—it’s absolute magic from the water.
Classic Open Savannah: Wide, sweeping landscapes that offer classic game drives packed with elephants, buffalo, and iconic tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector.
Breathtaking Scenery & Crater Lakes: Dramatic views across the rift valley floor, framed by volcanic crater lakes and the distant Rwenzori Mountains.
Spacious, High-End Lodges: Outstanding lodges with incredible views over the plains and channel, making it the perfect place to unwind between game drives.
