Just wonderful
Last November my wife and I celebrated our honeymoon and Elida tours arranged everything for us. We were picked up by our driver Wilson at our resort in diani and our first destination was Tsavo East. A wonderful park with a lot of elephants. Our lodge was in the middle of the park and we had a nice room facing a waterhole with elephants every morning!! Tsavo east is a busy park with a lot of tourists from the coastal cities. Sometimes a bit hectic when they see lions, it is like being in a theme park...
After 3 nights we went to Tsavo West which has a beautiful nature scene. Our lodge was looking over the Rhino valley. You do have to look very hard to see animals, however the park has lots to offer next to it. See the rhino sanctuary! Open daily from 16:00-18:00, its worth it.
After Tsavo west we drove to amboseli national park. Most of the lodges are located outside of the park and we stayed at Kibo safari camp. From our room we could see the beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro. Wow, just wow.

You always say; save the best for last. Well we did. After two nights at amboseli we drove to the Masai Mara. Which was amazing. We saw, thanks to Wilson, the big five in only one day. Just an amazing trip!
The only thing which did not go so well, was the long wait at the gate of the wild parks. The registration process was just taking forever and should be better.
Elida tours arranged a perfect honeymoon for us and we are grateful that Elizabeth and David took so good care of us.

Fantastic experience, excellent service
David and Elizabeth worked very closely with us, helping tailor our itinerary months in advance, being extremely accommodating of our large group with its diverse interests and crafting the most unforgettable experience within a very reasonable budget. They are very communicative, extremely thoughtful and considerate and highly competent. We visited Masai Mara, Naivasha, Amboseli, Mombasa and Nairobi and they saw to every little detail along the way. I would very highly recommend Elida Tours for all your travel needs! Masai Mara - short safari one evening; then full day (12 hr) safari next day
David arranged the most fantastic safari in Masai Mara, working around our schedule.
Our driver, Tim, picked us up in Nairobi on a Monday evening, overnight at a lovely hotel (can't remember the name) and headed off Tuesday morning for Masai Mara. It's a terrible road as you get nearer to the park, but Elida Tours has no control over that. It was a full day drive, stopping at a couple of "markets", arriving at Sopa Lodge mid afternoon. Tim took us on a short safari (about 2 hrs) and we were excited to see lots of animals, including 3 lions.
But the next day was INCREDIBLE! Tim seemed to know the best places to find animals! We saw everything (except rhino, which are hard to find in Masai Mara). We got "up close and personal" with lions, elephants, giraffe, ostrich, baboons, wildebeest, zebras... We saw 2 lions mating, hyenas and vultures fighting over a dead wildebeest, a leopard lounging in a tree, cheetahs lying in the shade, hippos sleeping on a sandbar, monkeys, jackals, cape buffalo, eland, topee, gazelle, hartebeest, warthog, mongoose, water buck, bushbuck, a crocodile and lots of beautiful birds.
I can't say enough about Tim... he was a fantastic guide! He knew the park inside out and gave us the best experience ever. It rained the night before we left and the road out of the area is terrible anyways, so with rain it was even worse... so many safari vehicles got stuck but not Tim... he got us through the most impassable roads!
I would highly recommend Elida Tours and David, and especially Tim!

The drivers were able to quickly get our group to locations where animals were located. Had a great experience viewing a lion many others. Efficiency, knowledge and familiarity with Nakuru was key to making our experience special.

Excellent service and care
We had a fantastic time in Kenya with David and his trustworthy team. We were able to easily arrange our trips several months ahead of time with email and once we arrived on the ground they were in constant contact via whastap and mobile. We had a fantastic day trip to the Nairobi National Park as well as the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Both trips exceeded our expectations and we were able to witness so many animals and beautiful scenery. David also personally escorted us on a long trip to the Kario Valley near Eldoret where we stayed several days. All in all I would easily recommend David and his team for all of your needs while in Kenya.

Kenya experience with David and Tim was exceptional beyond description!
David of Elida Tours arranged a safari tour to the Masai Mara for myself and other church mission team members in July, and it was extraordinary. The lodging and food at Base Camp resort was outstanding, and the game drives with Tim, our driver, were magnificent. Tim is exceedingly knowledgeable about Kenyan wildlife, vegetation, and culture, and he went out of his way to give us the very best experience possible. After our mission trip I spent additional time in Nairobi with family who came to meet up with me, and David and Tim again assisted me there, providing rides to and from the airport for myself and family, and also a tour through the Nairobi National Park, again an exceptional experience. Elida Tours & Safaris and David and Tim made our time in Africa more wonderful than we had imagined was possible, and at a very reasonable and affordable price. Without question, I would use Elida Tours again for future travel.

Nice, reliable and good knowledge
