Safari for the right price!
4/5

Meru Slopes Tours is a great option to experience the main parks in Tanzania for a reasonable budget. The team took care of the accommodation, transportation and the necessary paperwork. I will suggest just to update the trucks a bit in the future to ensure they keep providing a good service.

Great experience
4/5

We booked a four day safari (lake manyara, ngorongoro & serengeti) with meru slopes! The guide did his best to spot all the animals and always gave us first-row views. The cook's food was very tasty, and the campsites were a great experience (who experienced sleeping between the monkeys and other wildlife ?!) but very basic (especially night 2 and 3). Meru slopes is highly recommended, definitely worth the price you pay! One note of criticism: the communication of the organisation is sometimes lacking. For instance, at the time we left the hotel to go on safari they informed us we could only take one piece of luggage because there wasn't enough space for two pieces of luggage. If we knew that beforehand, we could have mixed our clothes the evening before we left.

Great 5-days Safari!
4/5

We went on a 5-days group safari across Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and per-se it was already an amazing experience. As low-budget travellers, we found Meru Slopes was the best deal in terms of value for money. The communication with Geofrey before our arrival was smooth and everything was perfect by the time we arrived. We very much appreciated that airport pick up and the two nights before and after the safari were included in the tour fees. It definitely made our life easier! The tour guide, food and time management were excellent considering what we paid. During the five days we also had an inconvenience so we lost half a day and Omani (our driver and guide) made us start earlier the next day so to not loose anything from our experience. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is open for camping and has a low budget but don't want to give it up with the stunning parks Tanzania has to offer!

meru slopes is reliable and offers fair prices.
4/5

The communication was verry good. Via whatsapp you'll get immediately a respons from geoffrey, this works good. In overal I had a good safari, we've seen a lot of animals en the food was great. The only negative thing was the guide. He was not very interactive with us and he didn't give any information about the animals we saw. It was more like: "look there a lion!" . And in the end We had to pay to much for the tips. The guid told us to give him 40 dollar and the cook also 40 dollar. That was 80 dollar tips for a couple. But Overal I had a great tour and meru slopes arranged it really good,.

Exhilarating and adventurous safari with great lodges in the middle of the wilderness.
4/5

Our guide, David, was the most friendly guide we have ever had in any of our trips. He really got along well with the family and was able to provide us with information and his experiences on every stage of the trip. With his help, we were able to see the infamous Big 5 and many more animals. The lodges were spectacular and well located. The only drawback was the initial hotel stay at Arusha Inn which leaves a poor impression and at times, the sub-par safari car which needed servicing often.

Good!
4/5

Good! I did a 4-day camping safari. Just be aware that if you go solo you might have to share a tent.

Cheap safari for a veruy good quality
4/5

Safari always means spending a lot of money. However, when going to Tanzania, you cannot miss the occasion to to on a safari tour. I was surprised to see that you still could get 5 days safari for a decent price (875$/pers). I was afraid of the quality of the safari for this price but I was surprised in a good way. The price determines more the lodgement and maybe the food a bit; but that is all. If you do not mind sleeping in a Quechua tent (everything was foreseen: mattress, sleeping bag, cushion, etc.) and that you are not looking for a 5 stars meal neither (still, the food was good!), then definitely go for this tour with Meru Slope. We have seen everything (except a rhino, but that is the nature's rule; you are never sure you will see all animals) and our guide, Steven, was great! He knew all the good places and he was patient; he is working for 15 years I think, but still he is passionate (more than some other guides who stopped only 30 sec or even did not stop at all when passing by interesting animals or great landscapes). He also gave us plenty of explanations.
The only negative point was the fact the organization did not tell us in advance we needed to bring cash to pay the remaining amount (same for other people in our group), which led to quite some discussions. So do not forget to bring all the money with you because they do not take cards (unless you do not mind being charges for getting 5 times money at the ATM...because you can only withdraw like 140$ equivalent) This is the only reason why I do not give 5/5.
Thanks again for this great safari, especially to Steven, this was an amazing experience I will never forget! I would not change anything!

4 day safari Meru slopes
4/5

4 day safari to ngorongoro crater and serengeti. Overnight before and after in Aruba tourist inn. This is a budget trip but worth it for the friendly and efficient service. It is tent and toilet camping so not for people who like the finer things in life but well worth he money and the hotel before and after is good

Professional and budget tour with good care till the end
4/5

We´re five friends looking for a budget tour to Serengeti y Gorongoro and we lived a very good experience thanks tu Meru Slopes Safari. They picked up in the airport, and from then they take care of everything. The lodging, the food, the safari, any wish you have the guide (Hillary) tried to get it. We were 5 days safari (plus first night in Arusha and last night in Moshi) and we enjoied a lot. We found a good climax in the camps with the rest of the groups at the end of every journey , and the facilities were good, taking into account we were in a budget trip. The only complain about our trip It´s the bad conditions of the public campsite in Serengeti about all the toilets althogh this is a bussiness of the tanzanian goberment. Also I recommended to include in the safari a day in the lake Natrom area, a friends of me did it and They got a closest sensantion of the massai people and land, even they made a morning walk to the flamingo lake.
