INCREDIBLE TRIP; THANK YOU LIGHTS ON AFRICA
5/5

I have been to Tanzania one other time so I am confident in saying that based on my two experiences, Lights on Africa by FAR EXCEEDED my known expectations. Just WOW, from the minute I arrived to the minute I left, well I did not want to leave. Peniel greeted my Group and made us feel so welcomed. The accommodations were SO fantastic, including the food :) but I must say that my Driver; Ray made my trip incredibly memorable. His many years of working in tourism contributed to the wealth of knowledge Ray has for the hidden trails in each park! Not just main roads but what tree is known for lions. Where the likelihood of seeing a Cheetah and where to find them! Ray knows the terrain of each park, has fantastic knowledge of ALL the animals including birds. We were the same 6 people in his Jeep the entire time, we asked a LOT of questions. Every one was answered thoughtfully, and gave us a sense of 'all knowing' and his mechanical ability!!!!! The terrain is oftentimes deep mud, sandy, water, very rugged and touch but Ray knew which way to steer and how to mitigate our ride, not to mention being the AWESOME DRIVER he is, he always (ALWAYS) stopped to help pull another driver out. I cannot say enough kind words or express gratitude to everyone at Lights on Africa, I felt like I was leaving family when the last wave was waved. I can only look forward to a third time to your beautiful country and know who I will be using; LIGHTS ON AFRICA.
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Kate

Goes above and beyond so you have the absolute best experience!
5/5

I can't say enough amazing things about Lights on Africa. From the moment we landed to our final goodbye, we were very well taken care of. All of our accommodations were wonderful and the staff were so personable. Peniel went above and beyond for our group. Everyone that checked their luggage ended up without it for a minimum of 3 days. Peniel went to the airport every day to pick up their bags and make sure they were delivered as soon as possible. I also can't say enough about how awesome our guides were. I personally had Ray as our group driver and he was absolutely the best. He was always having conversations with everyone in our vehicle, answering any questions we had, very knowledgeable about everything, and always got us the best angles for the best pictures. When anyone, even with a different safari company, had any problems he was the first guy to stop and help. Really a top notch guy! Thank you Lights on Africa for the most amazing experience in Tanzania. I can't wait to go back!

Great locally owned operated company, flexible and knowledgably
5/5

Working with Peniel and Anton was an excellent experience. Lights on worked with us to create a life time experience that we were looking for. Lights On Africa’s flexibility with arrangement was second to none. We were looking for an exceptional locally owned and operated tour company, we found it with Lights On Africa. With a nontraditional Maasai owner and local guide with over 10 years of Tanzania travel experience, they delivered on every front. Lights On worked with us to provide a taloyored experience, and didn’t try to upsell us. They didn’t try to push us into a “cookie cutter” package. The local understanding of migration and seasonal ebbs and flows was instrumental in the best experience of our lives. They adjusted some excursion and activities to adapt to what and where things were happening. They continuously communicated with us to maximize our experience.
We traveled from the United States to Tanzania for a three week experience, and although some our travel plans included locations outside of most Safari company’s locations and scopes Lights On Africa provided all of the local transportation needed to get there and back again.
We have a taste for true cultural experience, Lights On Africa worked with local persons in Dar Es Saalam to provide us safe first hand experience at what would have otherwise been a stressful and unpleasant experiences. It was very comforting to know that we had Lights On Africa keeping an eye on us, but not being overly obtrusive or controlling.
Anton’s incredible driving skills, attention to changing weather conditions and knowledge of the land saved us and a few others from spending hours and overnights stranded in the “LandCruser”. It was very comforting knowing that our guide was the sage that other guides turned to get them out of trouble.
Lights On Africa’s expertise and local knowledge put us in the right places at the right times. We were able to witness and experience so much in the time we had it is still overwhelming. The personal, not jammed in with dozens, experiences and Lights On Africa’s attention to us has left us with a life experience, not just a vacation.
We have been to many places globally for work, vacation and cultural experiences; hands down Lights On Africa was the best company that we have worked with. If you are looking for an awesome individually tailored Tanzania experience talk to Lights On Africa.

Exceptional 8 day Tanzania safari followed by 3 days Zanzibar
5/5

This was to be our first safari, we looked at a lot of companies and narrowed it down to six. We wanted a local company with Tanzanian staff. The communication with Peniel combined with the reviews, his safari suggestions and price were the deciding factors for us. Our choice fell on Lights of Africa destinations and safaris.
Peniel the owner and Anton our driver/guide met us in the evening at Kilimanjaro airport and took us straight to our overnight lodge. They had arranged that the kitchen would be open so that we could have a meal when we got there. During dinner Peniel explained everything about our trip and gave us our air tickets for our flights to and from Zanzibar after the safari.
Our driver Anton came to pick us up the next morning and we began what was to be an amazing experience. Anton was an excellent driver and guide and was considerate and friendly in everything he did. Our safari consisted of Tarangire reserve, Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro crater, south and north Serengetti. The lodges were all very comfortable and the facilities and food were very good and the staff very friendly. The two tent camps that we stayed in were also very comfortable with a shower and toilet in the tent. Here again the facilities were very good and the food excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Anton was an excellent guide, he pointed out animals that we at first didn’t see and managed always to find hidden gems. He always made sure that we would be in a good position to take photos. He even managed to get us in the perfect position to be able to photograph and film the migration of Wildebeests and Zebras crossing the Mara river.
Our last 3 days we spent in Zanzibar, one night in Stone town followed by a tour of the old town and a visit to a herb and spice farm. The last two days we spent at a hotel on the beach at Nungwi. Both hotels were excellent.
This trip was very well organised with nothing left to chance. Thanks to Peniel and Anton we had the experience of a lifetime.
We would thoroughly recommend Light on Africa to all of our family and friends.

Best tour company ever!
5/5

This is our second time using Lights in Africa and we are again very impressed with the service. The administration side is easy to book and has great communication. The vehicles are safe and sturdy with no breakdowns. The two drivers we've had have both been very informative, funny and have taken great care of us. I would definitely recommend this company and we will use them again.

Wonderful holidays in Kenia and Tanzanian National Parks
5/5

We (3 Germans, 2 women 1man, age around 60 years) spend 18 days End of June 2019 in Kenian and Tanzanian National parks. The trip was organized by Mr.Peniel Lazer (Lights on Africa).
Our journey was very beautiful and colorful, we saw a lot of animals in the Massai Mara and the northern National parks of Tanzania, breathtaking landscape in the parks, at mount Ol.Lengai, Victoria Lake and the Ngorongo Crater and had wonderful and very friendly contact with the local people and the Massai, who took us on walks, to the market, on a boat trip at lake Victoria and showed us their villages and their traditions.
Mr.Laser prepared the trip perfectly, there was no problem for us on the whole trip and we enjoyed the different and beautiful overnight stays. Our two drivers, Anton in Tanzania and Japheth in Kenia, were both very nice men, extremely experienced and skillful (f.ex. Anton changes two times a flat tire due to a bad road and repaired them in no time), absolutely reliable and well prepared. They had a very good knowledge about the animals and other things and were excellent drivers!
We met Mr.Laser on our last evening in Arusha and found him a warm hearted and sympathetic man, who is absolutely reliable.
We can recommend Mr.Peniel Laser and his company "Lights on Africa" very strongly.
He created an unforgettable individual holiday for us and made our wishes come true.
And big thanks and warm feelings to our fantastic companions Anton and Japheth!

We loved our experience and if we ever have the chance to go back it would definitely be through Peniel! Thank you my friend

Amazing 2-day Ngorongoro/Tarangire safari
5/5

We emailed Lights on Africa to arrange a last-minute safari, and I'm so glad we did! Peniel arranged everything absolutely perfectly. He works with several different reputable tour operators (ours was SD Safaris, which was excellent), so he's able to easily arrange for budget travelers like ourselves to join an existing group. Peniel was incredibly prompt (responded within an hour!) and friendly in responding to emails, and he saw us off the morning of our safari and greeted us on our return to make sure everything had gone well.

Our safari itself was incredible. Our guide, Amani, was friendly and knowledgeable, and he helped us to spot tons of animals. On the first day alone (in Tarangire), we saw zebras, giraffes, antelope, baboons, many different birds, wildebeest, warthogs, a group of about 5 lions (they walked right past our car!), and dozens and dozens of elephants. In Ngorongoro Crater, we saw many of the same animals plus large herds of buffalo, hippos, flamingos, ostriches, and more that I'm sure I'm forgetting! We even saw an extremely rare caracal cat, which is even more difficult to spot than leopards. Amani also made sure to give us information about interesting animal behaviors we witnessed (like two female zebras wrestling next to our car).

Thanks to Amani and Peniel for an all-around wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Lights on Africa!
