Honest, reliable and an excellent service.
5/5

The company offered a Safari package that was suitable for my need. I was a little worried when I had to pay them by Bank Transfer (not possible to do a Credit Card payment) but it was ok, all was well. We had Santaely as our driver and guide and he was excellent, well worth the recommended tips at the end. I would certainly engage Mega Adventures again next year when I next visit.

My only disappointment was our visit to the 'Maasai Village' - where the villagers were very demanding for tips for everything, including cleaning our shoes after the visit. This was even after we had given a recommended donation of $10 per tourist visiting. They sell commercially available products at 5x the price, making it difficult for us to support them in their home environment (if it was their home environment!) We were not well prepared for that.

We also had a Waterfall and Coffee tour in Moshi and that was a great experience. Mega Adventures just serves as an agent and transportation to the village guides. Our Driver expected the same level of Tips as was had given to Santaely even when he did very little 'guiding', and ignored us on the way back to our hotel because he was trying to chat up a girl he had offered transport to in our vehicle.

Good Safari Experience
4/5

The communication with the company was really good. Our driver (Mobarack) was really skilled. He was well experienced, always in a good mood and very communicative. We did a 6 day / 5 night safari. This was our fist safari. The itinerary of our trip was good , altough, I do believe that 4 days/ 3 night safari is good enough , Serengeti is by far the best park. Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara were also good but still they do not offer the same experience of a Serengeti Safari .

Mohamed and the rest of his crew are extremely accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable and kind.

This company does it right, starting with the communication. Mohamed responded right away and was eager to fulfill every request we had. They put together the perfect 2 day safari. Our driver for the safari, Yassin was amazing. He knew so much about the animals and the parks. He was very accommodating on the trip, whatever we wanted to do or see he followed through. He was especially great with our kids. The lodge they picked for us was absolutely stunning (Endoro Lodge), a beautiful place nestled in the forest. This was an amazing family trip.

I teared up when thanking our guides because it was such a magical experience.
5/5

From the day we were set up with Mohamed to start planning our safari we felt very happy to have chosen MegaAdventures. The planning was very easy and the communication with Mohamed was quick and to the point. We set up a safari for two and asked to be paired with 2-4 more people. The day before our safari we learned of our 2 companions on the trip which significantly cut the cost (which we had hoped for). The safari was amazing and we constantly kept talking about how we had the best guides, the best vehicles and the best cook. Our guide Ally was so professional, knowledgable and kind. He was a great driver which was important on those bad roads and he shared so many stories and interesting thoughts in addition to the many facts. We had amazing food and felt so taken care of. Camping in the Serengeti was a special opportunity and seeing the sunset with a hot cup of coffee was magical. Thanks for everything Mega!

A safari trip never to forget! Professional and good value for money.
5/5

Our trip was wonderfull. We visited with our teenage kids the main parks in Tanzania in 6 days. Everything was perfectly arranged by Megaadventure. The quality of the car was good and Ally, our driver/guide, went out of his way to make this an unforgettable trip. Specially when our kids turned ill on the 2nd day he made sure that the hotel was taking maximum care of them. He was always one step ahead and made sure the logistics of the trip went well. He was very respectful for the animals, the nature and the local people. The lodges and campsites selected by Mega were all outstanding and overall good value for money. At the end of the trip we felt that Ally became part of our family.

Unforgettable safari, best guides!
5/5

Our safari with Mega Adventures is one of our best experiences ever and we would definitely recommend it. Since we were a group of four students, we wanted to do a budget safari. Communication with Mohamed about planning the trip was great. Mohamed was very thoughtful about our wishes and gave us straight information about the options and was very quick in his replies. We did a four day camping safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater and it was more than we could have ever wished for. We were picked up at our hotel in Arusha to start the safari. Ally was our guide and he really made our trip. He was professional, friendly and had a good sense of humor. Ally had a great knowledge about the animals, nature and culture. He shared his passion with us, could answer all our questions and was sensitive about our wishes. He located the Big 5 for us, we got to see the great migration and we even saw two cheetahs catching an antelope all by ourselves. Our chef, Massawe, was very kind and prepared great food. We also loved the walking tour to see the best view of the Ngororongo Crater. Thank you Mohamed and Ally for this amazing experience.

Great adventure tour company with awesome guides
5/5

Highly recommend Mega for their professionalism, focus on safety and most importantly awesome guides who genuinely care about the animals in the wilderness and goes above and beyond to ensure we have a great time.

We did the Mt Meru climb, followed by 6 days safari and finished up with 3 days motorbike tour with Mega. Mohamed was really great in organising the entire itinerary and is very prompt in his reponses (given we organised the trip in less than a month before departure)

Mt Meru - Our guide, Goodluck and his team were professional and friendly. Goodluck is very knowledgeable and explained to us about the different terrain, plants and animals that we see during the entire trek. We were trekking with other groups (since it was a shared armed ranger) and Goodluck was the only guide that actually did that. What we were impressed is the focus of Mega on the safety of climbers. We had a nightly health check which include testing of oxygen level in the blood (again, we are the only ones with such health check compared to other groups). We were worried about altitude sickness given we started the day after we arrived and couldn't take Diamox due to allergy. So that was really comforting. Food during the trek was plenty and great. Nothing to worry except for us to enjoy the hike.

6 days safari - Abu and Khalid were awesome. They are friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable about the plants and animals we see on the way. It was a different experience every day and Abu always try to make sure we could see the animals we were interested in. They are also very focus on environment & animal conservation. We had our parents with us for the safari and Abu & Khalid definitely made it a trip of a lifetime for them and us. Great lodges throughout the trip.

3 days motorbike safari - Definitely an adventure with different trails and awesome view of Kili and Meru along the way. A great experience to see the animals in the wilderness on a motorbike. The lodge - Kambi Ya Tembo is a definite must stay. It was a great way to end the entire adventure!

Most enlightening and fun experience I ever did!
5/5

I booked this trip for me and 4 friends (in our mid-twenties) in march through Mohamed and he was kind enough to go through all the questions we had for him. He ended up suggesting the perfect trip depending on our needs. We did a camping safari for 4 days, 1 night at Ngorongoro and 3 nights at Serengeti. Both destinations were simply amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better guide than Elly. Elly made this trip super fun and pleasant, on and off-road. His passion for the wildlife and the animals really transcribed onto us and he was kind to share all of his knowledge in a very enlightening way. This trip was not only amazing, but it also served as the best school we could have imagined to learn about the nature, the animals, the weather changes, the African cultures and much more. The weather was perfect and we saw all the animals we expected to see. I am already excited for my second safari trip to come with Mega Adventures!

Great staff, great guides, and very easy to deal with.

The experience I had climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and the safari in the Serengeti and surrounding NP's was amazing! Thanks to Mohamed and his staff for making my time in Moshi and area into a true trip of a lifetime!
