Fantastic self-drive
5/5

e live in Singapore and have just returned from our second Fleet Foot-organised self-drive holiday, and once again we had a fantastic time. We flew into Zambia and briefly visited Zimbabwe and Botswana, before driving north to south through Namibia. Sadi at Fleet Foot organised all accommodation, flights from SA to Zambia, car hire, guided game drives and other activities, and airport transfers. We stayed at amazing locations and really feel that we saw and experienced a lot in the two weeks that we had.

Communication with FF is always clear, prompt and professional. They provide a clear itinerary with routes for driving, timings, activities at each location and travel advice. It really takes the stress out of organising the trip when you have experts on the ground who you can know you can rely on.

We are already planning a return trip to the region in the future and will definitely be calling on Sadi, Hennie and the FF team to help. Strongly recommended.

Flexible, listen to their clients' needs, excellent execution on custom tailored trips
5/5

We did our 3rd trip with Fleet Foot Safari during New Year holidays 2021-2022 around Cape Town and along Garden route. Our trip lasted for 9 days and ended in Port Elisabeth. They provided us with a car and a driver and booked all accommodations and restaurants for us. As always with FFS, everything went just perfect. Accommodation they booked for us was really upscale and luxurious. We did not realize upfront how busy the area would be (mostly with South African tourists), so pre-booking was super essential. The only disappointment we had (nothing to do with FFS) was absence of great white sharks. The cage diving company we went with said last time they saw them was in June, so call upfront before booking. You might get to see some other species of sharks (we saw essentially zero), but it is not a viable substitution. And if you (like us) plan on visiting more than a few wineries, go with a driver! Talking about wineries, our favorite was https://bosmanwines.com/. Perfect location, excellent whites. Let me know if you need any tips on what to see.

Wine, Stars and Wildflowers was a fantastic trip from start to finish. There's no problem whether you are a group, couple or single and the people we met on the trip made it memorable. We were blessed to see lots of flowers and our guides,Nicky Morris and Eugene shared their passion abundantly. All accommodation and food was good and our vehicle very comfortable. Plenty of loo and coffee breaks along the way. Hennie ,Andy and Charles did make this trip fantastic. Thank you.

World-class Tour Operator
5/5

My first tour last November to the Eastern Transvaal and Kruger National Park with Hennie and Andy made it abundantly clear that this would become my future way of touring from hometown Knysna.
Knowing what excellent service, planning, travel and accommodation would be ahead, the start of the Namaqualand Flowers, Wine and Stargazing trip once again confirmed an excellent mix of participants, capable and safe drivers Hennie and Andy as well as impeccable organisation of time, the route, visits to National Parks, reliability of vehicles and choice of night stops.
The flowers and the weather were at their best and with the local guide Nicky from Springbok, we learned a lot about this colourful miracle of nature. The wine bottling at Excelsior Winery was a novel experience and the stargazing in Sutherland - though at freezing temperatures - will be unforgettable.
I am looking forward to my next journey with Hennie and company.

Freindly, efficient, v\caring, knowledgeable and totally organised
5/5

This trip to the Namaqualand was the most amazing experience. The itinerary was well thought out - we stayed in the most quaint and luxurious places, visited a wide variety or areas all with different sights, did great things such as star gazing, bottling our own wine, guided field walks and talks, and enjoyed the BEST hospitality and food in EVERY venue. The guides Hennie and Andy were truly amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, great fun and kept us all to time - yet we never felt rushed. No request was too big or too small for these amazing gents.
The whole programme went like clockwork and was worth every minute and every cent.

I am already planning my next tour with them
FULLY recommend this for any single person / group or couples. They cater for EVERYONE.
In addition, the admin side of things is so well oiled - we were constantly updated before and duri8ng the trip as things developed. I felt like part of the family

Fleet Foot Safaris Delivers
5/5

I could not be more pleased with Fleet Foot Safaris and Go self-drive tours. Hennie Becker and his staff (Sadi, Elaine, Elmor and Ben) could not have been more professional and accommodating. Hennie and his staff organized a 10-day five country tour of South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. The planning was soup to nuts; everything from internal flights, to transportation, to lodging, to food, to safari tours to COVID tests. Fleet Foot provided a detailed itinerary in advance, which let us know exactly what was to occur each day and who we should expect..

I was referred to Fleet Foot Safaris by Peter Robert of Gosheni Safaris, who was planning our Tanzania tour. I was so impressed with the responsiveness of Fleet Foot Safaris while planning the trip. I would send an email in the evening and have an answer the next day. Their communication and attention to detail instilled confidence in their ability to deliver. When we landed in Africa, they did not disappoint. We were so impressed with the people, companies and lodges Fleet Foot Safaris hired to accommodate us. The hotels and lodges booked for us were great, both rooms and food. The drivers that were provided were excellent, driving well-maintained vehicles. The safari tours and Victoria Falls tours were great, as well. We saw the “Big Five”, in addition to many other animals and birds. Due to the number of borders we crossed and a number of internal flights, we had to take a series of COVID tests. Fleet Foot Safaris had everything planned out. They even arranged people come to our hotel room to complete a COVID test for a future flight so it was less disruptive to our tour schedule. Fleet Foot Safaris provided personnel to assist us with border crossings and rapid COVID tests.

Fleet Foot Safaris stayed in contact with us during the entire journey, making sure everything was okay and handling any unexpected events along the way.

I highly recommend Fleet Foot Safaris and its sister company GO self-drive tours. I think you will be as impressed as I am with their service and ability to deliver on what they promise.

Great adventure - super reliable - we can definitely recommend it!
5/5

We're still overwhelmed by Fleet Foot Safaris.

Our first journey together with them was in 2014. We went to SA, Botswana and Mozambique that time. Everything was planned super well.
We therefore decided booking with them a self driving camping safari in Namibia this year.

On the part of the office an unbeatable preparation and attention. Hennie, Elmor and Elaine quickly and professionally answered all our emails, answering all our questions. They also took care of all our special wishes.

The car, a Toyota Hilux, was in an excellent shape for long drives, poor roads and even some deep sand sessions.
It was equiped with absolutely everything you need for camping.

We can definitely recommend them any time!

Botswana and Victoria Falls...magical!
5/5

We had a wonderful 5 day 4 night experience with Hennie Becker of Fleet Foot Safaris in Vic Falls and Botswana. We had just come off a group tour of South Africa that was great, but to have the personal and individualized attention and guidance of Hennie for our last 5 days, was a whole new dimension to our trip.

Our accommodations were perfect and beautiful, staying at the Avani Falls in LIvingstone, Zambia and the Chobe Safari Lodge in Botswana. The food, service and accommodations were excellent and they offered the right ambience and and peaceful retreat after a long day of sightseeing and game drives.

Animals roamed the grounds of these resorts and one night in particular,
as we walked into the lobby of the Avani, there were 3 zebras that literally were milling about on the very outskirts of the lobby area. It was beautiful and almost surreal.

Hennie wanted us to see the Falls from the Zimbabwean side as well as Zambia, and it was well worth the additional $30 pp visa fee and walk over the bridge. The Falls were spectacular and we were fortunate to see them at a high water mark. The cruise on African Queen was a wonderful and a perfect activity for our first day in this area. Our subsequent game drives, and game cruise on the Chobe, provided plenty of animal viewing and Hennie provided interesting historical and background information on the places and things we saw. He has a passion for Africa and the bush country.

He was always willing to accommodate any interests or needs that we had and to offer his suggestions on what he thought we should (or shouldn't) spend our time and money on, etc. Eric, our driver, was also very nice and knowledgeable, efficient and helpful.

Our personal choice was more of a resort/ lodge experience, but Fleet Foot offers a variety of adventures in tented camping and even self drive tours throughout Africa for the more adventurous. And when speaking of adventures, if you can muster up a little courage to do the microflight over the Falls, it is a not to miss experience. Hennie recommended it and despite my trepidation, it was a trip highlight.

This trip was a bucket list item and lived up to and surpassed our expectations thanks to Fleet Foot and the magic of Africa. One side note, if you are willing to spend the extra $$$ for a 5 star experience, the Royal LIvingstone is elegant and lovely and at the very least, go over there for a drink and watch the sunset. It is adjacent to the 4 star Avani Falls and was a wonderful way to cap off our last night in Africa.

If Africa is in your future and I guess it would be if you're reading this review, I don't think you can go wrong with Fleet Foot. We certainly didn't and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hennie and his staff to anyone.

What a great Safari trip with Fleet Foot to Tanzania, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Kilimanjaro!!!
5/5

A Safari trip to Tanzania could not be complete if the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Kilimanjaro are not included! And going with Fleet Foot again was yet another great experience!
In March we went to Chobe and Victoria Falls with them. A review of this one has been posted before.
On this Safari we were just in time to witness the return of the herds crossing the Mara and Grumeti rivers. Hundreds of thousands of beasts crossed the crocodile invested rivers from the Mara and Kenya into the Serengeti Plains. Most of the safari group members were camping in luxury mobile camps, put up by Fleet Foot - and the 4x4 vehicles, with window seats for all, had pop-up roofs. We were privileged to watch the game from afar and was also able to get very close to the predators. The Ngorongoro Crater is just too wonderful for words. The variety of game staying there mostly all year, and adding the Big 5 we have witnessed, have made this all an outstanding memorable Safari.
From the Crater we moved to the Kilimanjaro Mountain - not to actually climb it - but to visit the Kilimanjaro National Park. There we have camped again at the foothills of the Kili and enjoyed long walks to the local markets and waterfalls in the area and even tried the mountain for a couple of meters… Fleet Foot also organised and booked our extension of the trip to Zanzibar for 4 days and reserved a handful of excursions like Stone Town, Spice Farm, water sports, i.e. scuba diving and Dolphin boat trips. It was unbelievable the way Hennie managed to handle everything so professionally, calm & collective all the way through! Right from the logistics to the end result - taking us physically to all these unknown areas, did all the bush cooking himself as well as the setting up and cleaning of the superb bush camps. On our return home this week we are already making plans for yet another safari with Hennie & Fleet Foot! This time Africa in it's fullness - and all along the Zambezi floodplains.
