Enjoyed our Luxury Africa Safari Gecko Safaris
Gecko Safaris did a great job to put together a wonderful 11 day itinerary in uganda for us. We have been to Africa before but always stayed in
Kenyan lodges. This time we wanted to spend more time in safari tents . We arrived into Uganda 2 days early to rest up after the long 22 hour flight from home. Monica arranged a pick up at the airport for us and an extra night stay at the Boma hotel which is only 10 minute drive from entebbe airport. Our guide Moses was so patient with us at each park when we would ask to stop so we could take photos and knew to turn the engine off so the vibrations wouldn't interfere. He was very knowledgeable about animals and birds. If he didn't have the answer he had some wonderful books on birds and animals the he would use to answer our questions. On our last day, as we stayed in Mihingo lodge which i strongly think that its the best lodge in Uganda. meals , service ,view of the park and horse riding i can not forget every moment at Mihingo , That morning we saw a leopard and zebras make the crossing very close to our tent. Our 7-day safari with Gecko safari was the absolute highlight of our time in Uganda and Rwanda! Jessy's passion for the animals and the park were felt at every turn - he's been guiding safaris for 14 years and was still just as excited as we were to find the animals and explore the park! We had Sam as our guide the last day of our tour and he was also fantastic - both incredibly knowledgeable and did all they could to show us a great trip filled with animals and beautiful views . Gecko safaris is highly recommended for any tour in Uganda,Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya.

Amazing Amazing and successful safari in Uganda
We zeroed on Uganda specifically for the gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest because seeing these amazing relatives in their native environment, so close up is indescribable! At Lake Mburo, cantering through the bush with impala and zebra on the horseback riding safari in lake Mburo national park was very exhilarating! I also included a couple days in other national parks like Murchison falls,Kibale national park and kidepo valley national park. Excellent lodges with nice food and helpful employees.Our driver/guide (Peter) whi accompanied us the entire trip from gorillas,chimpanzee.wildlife,nature and cruising on the nile. He was amazing - very knowledgeable and entertaining. Gecko safaris will always be on our minds.

Uganda safari Highlights with Gecko safaris = AMAZING
Gecko safaris provided prompt response when looking at booking the climb at Mount Rwenzoris and the wildlife tour in Uganda. Even after the booking was made, they provided a quick response when questions were provided. From start to finish there was nothing to be faulted.
Kenneth, our guide was extremely knowledgeable, safe and accommodating and made the whole experience fun, entertaining and educational.
The properties we stayed in were wonderful - the staff were extremely friendly and no request was ever too difficult.
Papaya Lodge was one of the most beautifully scenic places I've stayed at - the rooms had the most incredible view of the Lake and Valley and it was the most incredible view to wake up too.
Mweya safari lodge also provided a flawless and accommodating environment. The tented rooms were amazing from the spaciousness to the comfort, to the slippers! The lodge itself also had a large range of extra activities - the spa treatments are definitely recommended.
The National Parks we visited provided us with sightings of a large range of wildlife - the knowledge our guide Kenneth had was next level - what an amazing and enjoyable trip - something I will remember forever and happily recommend to anyone wanting to visit Uganda. Thanks Gecko safaris!

Marvellous 18 days visit to Africa with Gecko Safaris Africa
We had a wonderful 18 day trip to Uganda,Rwanda,Congo DRC,Tanzania and Kenya and we visited places like the Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth NP, Kibale national park,Bwindi for Gorilla trekking, serengeti,masai mara,nyiragongo in virungas,golden monkey in volcano national park,kigali,kampala,ishasha with Gecko safaris Africa from May/4th-May/24th
Daniel was a wonderful & very knowledgeable guide, gave us more & more information of East Africa and hes a top class driver with good driving skills.
Monica, our contact in Gecko safaris Africa window was experienced, after received my requirement soon provided us detail itinerary & great price.
Due we choice mid range accommodations so have some lodge Wi-Fi weak, if need more good connect wifi lodge, The Toyota land cruisers was clean & safe.

Fantastic trip, local based company
I with My Fiance had really exceptional 12-days safari with Gecko safaris in Uganda and Kenya. We decided on this company because they offered us direct approach from the beginning – they helped us in planning our journey, gave many practical tips and took care of us from the moment we land in Entebbe airport. Our guide was Robert who took us his courtesy and professionalism. He was always smiling and helpful all the time . The time we spend in Bwindi ,kibale, Queen Elizabeth national park Masai Mara and Samburu was unforgettable. Robert could somehow find and show us the animals we wanted to meet the most. Observing all these beautiful animals from so close distance is breathtaking but I am convicted that trip of our dreams would not be so perfect without Gecko safaris. Excellent short trip with Gecko safaris Africa
We must've exhausted Monica with our scores of emails – she patiently answered everything and even met us at the airport to pay second half of trip fees. Wire transfer took weeks to process so don't panic! Our fantastic driver and guide – Jesse who waited for us at the airport although our flight delayed. honestly, there was nothing we could've asked for more - stops for pics, searches for specific gifts, and when we had a couple hours to kill they took us poolside to Hotel Rwanda in Kigali and picked up the lunch tab. The driving was very safe, the van downright plush and the accommodations at Bishops house the one of the most luxurious lodge in Kinigi (base for trekking at Volcano National Park) was superb. The trek itself defies words – but suffice to say it was magical. Rogers, our guide, was lovely and made the whole experience so memorable. Gecko safaris is highly recommended or such tours.

Excellent African Tour With Gecko Safaris Africa
We chose to visit Rwanda,DRC,Uganda and Masai Mara as an African safari was at the top of our travel list and a longtime trusted friend (Roger) who works and currently lives in Goma (DRC) invited us. He recommended us to Gecko Safaris Africa and we are very thankful we took his advise as our trip for 7 exceeded our expectations . Our tour started when our excellent guide/driver Muhindo picked us up in a New Toyota Land Cruiser safari vehicle at Kigali international airport. Muhindo is focused and knowledgeable guide who pays attention to all details in order to provide a memorable and safe experience. He is an intense, aware driver who is able to navigate the roads. In Congo roads are not that good with a lot pot-halls but with his skills we managed to visit all the attractions without problems, He proved many times that he is "The Best Tour Guide in Africa." For example, he spotted a leopard in a tree just before sunset from quite a distance and provided us with the thrill of fabulous close up photos/video. We visited,Kigali,Volcano national park,Virunga national park, nyiragongo, tchegera islands,lake mutanda,Bwindi national park,Queen Elizabeth national park ,Kibale national, Murchison falls national park, Lake Mburo National Park, Masai Mara National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park. We paid a total of about $26750 per person for this trip as We wanted upmarket accommodations and it was well worth it for 24 nights in Africa, I highly recommend Gecko Safaris Africa!

I made it with Gecko Safaris
Gecko safaris are an excellent tour company to deal with. Right from the beginning our communications with Monica was easy and prompt. She had no problems modifying our tour to suit our needs better.
Once there, our driver/Guide Ben was excellent , He was very knowledge and personable. He made the long drives feel shorter. He would stop anytime we asked to take pictures and also when he saw things that he thought we would be interested in. Things that were interesting to us and that we would have missed without him.
Now for the tours. WOW. The chimps and gorillas are so magnificent. It is amazing how close they will come to you. The sounds of the chimps even before sighting them is super exciting!! The gorillas are so enjoyable to watch as they just do their own thing or sometimes even approach to get a closer look at you.
The swamp/community walk in Kibale is also a must do. The banana beer and home grown coffee are definitely a must. We did not get time to visit the doctor and the basket weaving homes.
Anyway, if you are nervous about booking such an expensive trip, please be advised that you will have absolutely no issues with Gecko Safaris.
If you can afford it time and money wise, book the extra gorilla day. You will want to see 2 different families as they are all different in behavior and appearances!
