Guide could improve communication
The company was really organized and reliable, everything that was agreed on was delivered and they were easy to communicate with in the weeks preceding the tour. We did a 3-day group tour to Maasai Mara and the experience was amazing, the people we went with were lovely! However, our guide, Sharuk, could work on communicating better with us. At several moments, he would do something unexpected and not explain to us what was going on until he was asked - and even then, he wouldn’t explain it all. For example, on the first day we went to the park, it was most people’s first safari and he was demonstrating impatience when anyone asked to stop to look at an animal. He was trying to show us something special that was going on in another part of the reserve, but we could not know it since he hadn’t said anything. The next day, he stopped the car out of nowhere and went outside to fix something next to a tire without telling us a thing. We were kept wondering what was going on with the car until he came back minutes later.

Memorable Kenya Safaris with Excellent Guide but Room Coordination Needs Improvement
We had a wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris. The communication during booking was smooth and their driver-guide, Livingston, was simply outstanding—very knowledgeable about wildlife and birds, and made our game drives in Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli truly memorable. The value for money and service during the safari were excellent.
However, we faced an issue with the hotel room in Amboseli. Despite confirming a Mt. Kilimanjaro view room in advance, we were initially given a different room and had to put in extra effort to get what was promised. After a long 8–9 hour road journey, this was quite inconvenient.
Overall, the safari itself was exceptional and I would highly recommend Livingston and Axis Africa for game drives, but better coordination on hotel arrangements would make the experience completely hassle-free.
A well organised safari
We had a good trip with Axis Africa, everything was well organised from the first hotel pick up to the days we were out doing activities. Guide, Peter Kapino, was very knowledgeable, friendly and ensured we had a good time. He tried hard to find all animals whilst we were out on safari and answered all our questions, both about the animals and generally about life in Kenya! We felt safe at all times during our trip.
There were a couple of negatives of the trip. Firstly, a few of the optional activities were a little more expensive than we were told or had hidden costs which were not stated in the description. Secondly, the last day was very rushed, when in Hell's gate it felt as though we were being rushed along and didn't have time to 'explore' as described, we did the minimum not exploring the caves etc. Following that visit, we were taken for lunch at 11:30am before driving back to Nairobi, although we had been told we would end the day around 4pm. This 5th day was realistically only half a day and it was a shame to end on such a rushed and disappointing note when we were expecting a whole day of activity. It seemed this was because another couple on the shared trip were staying another day and and travelling to amboselli and so our day had to be rushed to accommodate them, which I felt was unfair to us. I don't believe this was the guides fault as I understand this would be a long day for him, but the other couples trip should not have impacted ours.
The trip seemed generally good value for money, although it seemed other similar priced trips did include the day 4 boat ride price, which this didn't. And the very limited final day reduced the value for money.

Safari 5 days
It was good, Masai Mara was amazing, the accomodation as described and the driver knew a lot of the good places, however, he was always late and on the last day the car broke down.

Amazing and well organized
We had a great experience. The places we stayed were clean and comfortable, and everything was organized just as I expected.
Amos, our guide, was amazing. He looked after us during the whole tour and made sure we never felt lost. His support made the trip even better.
We didn’t see the great migration this time and there weren’t as many flamingos as we thought, but overall it was a very good experience.

Great Experience with amazing team
The safari was wonderful. Thanks to our guides Peter and Daniel, we were able to enjoy a great adventure through Kenya, full of magical moments, breathtaking landscapes, and memories that will stay with us forever. We managed to see all the animals, and Peter was very dedicated in making sure we got the best photos. Without a doubt, I would recommend doing the safari with them.

Good guide and competitive prices
The guide was very talented and was able to find a lot of animals. He was also knowledgeable and had nice stories to tell. The car had minor issues with for example seatbelts and we were late to start and finish, but otherwise everything went great

Ben was very nice and knowledgable
The company was good and the accommodations were great but our tent had a sewage smell. My group felt that the there definitely could have been more game drives. When we arrived at the accommodations we just sat there for 2.5 hours before driving into the park which we could only be in for 1.5 hours before it closed. The third and last day we could have spend part of the morning in the park if we started earlier but instead we only left to see the Maasai village at 8:15 a.m. ish. The village experience was great but since we had the time to get up earlier, more time in the park would have been appreciated. Also, there was a very heavy focus on the big cats. I think we maybe stopped to look at one group of elephants for 20 seconds and didn't even stop for the second massive group of elephants that we all pointed at. If this had been my only safari experience, I would have been slightly disappointed.

Wonderful week in Kenya
Booked the tour via Axis Africa Safaris.
Went to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha with Dickson Mutaiti. Dickson was warm, welcoming, very organized & knowledgeable. Saw all the Big Five in Kenya & loved the entire trip
