Aardvark Expeditions- The Finest Company in the Tourism Industry
In late November 2025, four friends and I from India did the Marangu Route with Aardvark Expeditions, and it was a great experience every step of the way.
In the weeks leading up to our climb, we exchanged many emails with the Aardvark Expeditions sales staff. Their quick responses and thorough explanations were what persuaded us to book with them.
While climbing, our guide (Gabriel and Fred) were extremely professional. They adapted their pace to ours, provided encouraging words and advice to help us acclimatise, and made sure we were safe at all times.
The food that Erik and Abuu prepared was another highlight. The meals were fresh, filling and served to us with a smile.
Aardvark Expeditions made our first Kili attempt feel possible, secure and fun. Highly recommended!

The Lemosho Route climb exceeded our expectations in every way
Our 8-day Lemosho Route Climb was a wonderful opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with our companions from India and family members from the United States of America.
The Sales Team supports a high level of responsiveness to customers' needs during the booking process. We felt an immediate connection with the Aardvark Expeditions Limited because of the quick response times and open and honest communication etc.
Our head guide, Fred and assistant guide Bariki were excellent leaders who provided good guidance and concern for all climbers throughout the entire Kilimanjaro Trek. They kept climbers safe, happy and comfortable throughout each stage of the trek.
We reached the summit of Kilimanjaro with a sense of accomplishment, confidence and pride. For us, this climb was about the journey and the people who helped us along the way to reach the summit. We highly recommend this team to anyone looking to climb Kilimanjaro.
Marangu Climb Made Easy with Aardvark Expeditions
Our 6-day journey on the Marangu Route was handled by Aardvark Expeditions, and we couldn't have asked for better service! As a group of only five people from India, we received excellent personal service and attention from every member of the team.
Our guides (Bariki and John) were very supportive, knowledgeable and patient, while the chefs (Erik and Abuu) created tasty meals that energised us every day for the long trek ahead.
We were referred to Aardvark Expeditions by several friends, and now we understand why! The sales team is very prompt and friendly, and offers excellent service. The whole experience from booking to reaching the summit was flawless!

The Absolute Best Team on Kilimanjaro
A group of 4 climbers from India, along with 3 friends from the UK, completed an arduous climb via the 7-day Machame Route with Aardvark Expeditions, and they exceeded our every expectation along the way.
The first impression we had of Aardvark Expeditions (Philemon Joel) was one of speed in responding to our requests, providing clear directions, and making truthful declarations about what to expect when we booked. Booking our climb was made easy due to the assistance provided by the sales team.
During the actual climb, the guiding team of Bariki and Jonathan performed exceptionally well. They were vigilant in their monitoring of climbers, supported us when altitude sickness hit, and continuously provided motivation throughout our trek on the mountain.
The summit day was incredibly emotional, and all Aardvark Expeditions staff were there at the summit to celebrate with us for achieving our goal. This is a company that genuinely cares about every person who climbs for them. A five-star rating does not do enough justice for the value provided by the staff at Aardvark Expeditions.

Our group consisted of 14 climbers (some of us flew from the US) and others from India. We completed an 8-day Kilimanjaro climb via the Lemosho Route on November 15, 2025. The views were amazing, but the Aardvark Expeditions team was what made it so special.
Ewald, Gabriel, and Fred were our mountain guides from the Aardvark Expeditions and did a great job of mixing their professionalism with a personal touch while helping us get to the summit (Uhuru Peak 5,895masl). They made sure to pace us correctly, especially for the long acclimatisation days. Our two cooks, Paul and Ephraim, did an excellent job of giving us "home-cooked meals" on the cold nights at the Shira and Barafu Camps. I truly recommend Aardvark Expeditions for a memorable Kilimanjaro climbing experience.

I joined a team of 5 South Asian Climbers for the Marangu Route to climb Kilimanjaro and started our trek on November 24, 2025. This route has been referred to as the "Coca-Cola Route", but a strong and experienced climbing team is still required, and Aardvark Expeditions delivered on all counts.
Guide John was excellent. His confidence and calm demeanour allowed us to feel that the final summit push was manageable. Our Chef Abuu prepared delicious, hot meals every night in the various huts. It was truly a gift to have hot tea waiting for us at the end of each trekking day.
We found Aardvark Expeditions on the TripAdvisor platform. The reviews left by other customers indicated that Aardvark Expeditions was excellent in terms of speed of communication. It was true! Booking with Aardvark Expeditions was easy, as they usually replied to my email within minutes after I sent them an email. I wholeheartedly stand by Aardvark Expeditions as the best choice for climbing Kilimanjaro.

Beginning our Kilimanjaro trek on the Machame Route on October 18, 2025, we had a group of 13 trekkers from India, along with some friends from England. Once we connected with Aardvark Expeditions, everything fell into place. Their sales team was the fastest to respond to our requests, providing us with straight answers, clear pricing, and zero confusion; this led us to choose them.
On the mountain, our guides (Bariki, Gabriel and the whole crew) were absolutely AMAZING! They provided us with patient guidance even during our most difficult moments. They monitored our oxygen levels each day and gave us all the encouragement we needed when we reached the steep Barranco Wall ascent. Cook Eric created unique and delicious meals for us every night; his soups provided us with the energy needed to continue trekking.
We heard about Aardvark Expeditions through our friends who had previously summited with them, and we can see why Aardvark Expeditions maintained a high degree of professionalism throughout the entire trek, from tents and pacing to safety. When all thirteen of us reached Uhuru Peak as a group, we felt a shared achievement with the entire crew. I can confidently recommend Aardvark Expeditions for anyone planning a Kilimanjaro climb.

Tanzania Safari
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a 4-day safari with this fantastic tour company, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Philemon Joel, the safari organizer, was absolutely top-notch. His communication leading up to the trip was clear and thorough, and he made sure every detail was taken care of—no small task when planning a safari! Philemon's knowledge of Serengeti National Park and the surrounding areas was impressive, and it really showed in the personalized itinerary he crafted for us. He made sure we got to see all the highlights while avoiding the crowds, ensuring that we had an authentic and serene experience.
Our driver guide, Joshua, deserves a special mention as well. He was an exceptional guide throughout the trip. Not only was he skilled in navigating the park's sometimes tricky terrain, but his deep knowledge of the wildlife was fascinating. Joshua was always patient, ready to answer our questions, and made sure we were in the best spots for wildlife sightings. His enthusiasm for the animals and the park's ecosystem made the trip even more enjoyable.
The safari itself was simply breathtaking. We saw a wide variety of animals—everything from majestic elephants to elusive big cats, and Joshua made sure we had plenty of opportunities for incredible photos and observations. Each day felt like a new adventure, and the accommodations were comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring.
Overall, I highly recommend Aardvark Expeditions for anyone looking to explore Serengeti National Park and other national parks of Tanzania. The professionalism of Philemon Joel and Joshua, combined with their passion for nature, made this an unforgettable experience. We recently completed a 7-day private safari in Tanzania with Aardvark Expeditions, and it was an incredible journey from start to finish.
From the moment we landed at Kilimanjaro International Airport, we were met with warm hospitality and seamless coordination. Our itinerary took us through Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire — each destination offering its own unique charm and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
Our safari guide was outstanding — deeply knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about nature and conservation. Whether it was spotting elusive big cats or sharing insights into animal behavior, he elevated our experience to another level. The safari vehicle was comfortable and well-maintained, ensuring a smooth ride throughout.
Aardvark’s choice of accommodations was excellent. We especially loved the atmosphere at Eileen’s Trees Inn, and the immersive experience of staying at Hippo Trails and Embalakai Luxury Tented Camps in the heart of the Serengeti. The service, food, and views at each lodge were top-notch.
Every detail was taken care of — from timely pickups to well-organized game drives and thoughtful touches throughout the trip. Aardvark Expeditions provided us with a safe, enriching, and truly memorable adventure through Tanzania’s most iconic parks. Highly recommended!
