In August this year, we hired a Toyota Landcrusier from Gladiola Adventure for 18 days. We were very excited with our German mentality and the awareness of how contracts are organised in this country.
We were in contact with Didas from the beginning of March and prepared our adventure as self-drivers.
He always responded to us quickly and was very supportive.
On 2.8.23 the time had come. Didas personally brought the car to Dar es Salaam. After an introduction to the handling of the roof tents, the accessories and the technique of changing tyres, we set off on a fantastic journey through this beautiful country.
Our fridge gave up the ghost in Lake Manyara National Park. A day later we had a new one. It was really great how Didas stood by our side and helped us the whole time. We also organised the permits for Ngorongoro by phone and WhatsApp.
The people in Tanzania are extremely friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience to experience this country as a self-driver and we can highly recommend it. Gladiola Adventure with Didas is also an excellent address!!!
We will definitely be back.
One small thing dear Didas: please put some new camping chairs in the camping equipment ;-)

A fantastic journey through Tanzania thanks to Reggie.
We rented a 6 passenger Land Cruiser. A great, comfortable and brave car. Very reliable. I highly recommend Gladiola. The owner - Didas is very nice and helpful. If you ask he will definitely try to meet your requests. We had an amazing guy named Reggie traveling with us. Whenever he is available as your travel companion, take advantage of his expertise.

Our driver and guide Reggie Mshomba made it an amazing journey.
Our driver and guide was really good. A deep understanding for wildlife.
What we didn't like, was the equipment and a quite very old car with actually no really 4-wheel-drive and no A/C.

We stayed for two weeks in Tanzania and got to see the amazing nature, animals and culture of the people. Our guide Reggie knew so much about the country, the way animals live, how the ecosystems work and so much more. His knowledge and passion made us feel so engaged with the country. We traveled as a family of 4 (2 adults and two 4 and 7 year old kids). With our guide Reggie we had a perfect experience. Very patient and open to all our changes and ideas. So we could adapt our plans and were able to maximize our travel. The best is he was great with our kids and we always felt save and well informed about the wildlife

Trustworthy & Reliable
We loved our self-drive adventures. We could use the hire car to go to lots of the national parks. The company kept in touch, agreed to allow us to change the dates when I ended up in hospital, we're fine even when we had an issue with the exhaust, werent too bothered about small marks on the car. The Rav4 was perfect for what we needed. Definitely would recommend. Beware though - driving standards are totally different in Africa than the UK, Europe, America etc.

Great organization, great car, great guide
We had an extraordinary stay and super well organized by gladiola. We rented a car with a driver-guide (Omari) who speaks French. He was great. Great reservation process, they answered all our questions. Landcruiser car with removable roof very well. We did the Taranguire, Manyara and Ngorongoro with a toddler. We saw a lot of animals including many elephants and lions and even a leopard!
Highly recommended! They are great, on top!
