Excellent Trip. Excellent Company.
I have been on many safaris in the past 30+ years in eight different countries in Africa. Dana Tours rates at the top. They arranged spot on accommodations at memory making spots. They provided guides that were professional, careful, knowledgeable and intuitive. It is very important for safari guides to not only know where the animals are but also know where the animals are going and situate the vehicle for the best overall viewing and photographic experience. Our guide from this company did this. Besides all of this, the owner, Daniel, was very helpful and always quick to answer any question we had while planning the trip.

So patient, attentive and supportive!
What an amazing Trip!! Daniel and team really know their stuff!! Half the fun was planning the trip and Daniel is so patient with all your queries and helps make the trip yours. He understands how special it is to you and helps you through everything. I always had so many questions and he was there for them all. Daniel was excellent, went above and beyond our expectations.
This tour was the best tour we have ever done. We designed the tour with Daniel to suit our needs and Dana Safaris did not disappoint. Greeting us at the airport and driving us through Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda, every detail was attended to and we could not have asked for more. Each safari guide was excellent as was our accommodation. Will definitely use Dana again.

"Outstanding"
Daniel and his team at Dana East Africa Safaris are brilliant. Our trip was two years in the planning and Daniel ticked every box throughout the planning process. He was always available to answer our many questions and provided regular updates as we got closer to the tour dates. Daniel and his team organised everything on the ground in East Africa as well as additional time in Egypt. Our tour exceeded all expectations, our guides Michael and Nicholas were extremely knowledgeable and have created memories that will last forever. Outstanding experience
Dana safaris organized and led 4 of us on an 11-day safari in Tanzania and Rwanda. We were amazed at the quality of care we received over our entire trip. Our accommodations were outstanding in every way. We had two guides, one for the Tanzania portion and one for the Rwanda portion. Fantastic all around!
Dana Mutua of East Africa Safaris is a consummate planner and provider of exceptional safari experiences in Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda! With a brief summary of the experiences we wished to enjoy in East Africa Daniel returned to us a itinerary which ticked all our boxes and more within 3 days. During our visit he was on top of every or any request we had and he carefully monitored our experiences. When unexpected air travel was encountered he quickly came to the rescue with needed assistance.
During safari we were hosted by 3 excellent guides Mike, Peter and Ben in succession who were patient, skilled and focussed on safety, and client comfort. All guides were very welcoming and showed such respect for their natural world. We learned so much about animal behavior, inter dependencies, the natural balance as well as history, politics and cultures in every country.
The transport we enjoyed were 4 wheel drive vehicles, comfortable and reengineered to optimize wildlife viewing. Driving conditions on and off main roads varied considerably but our guides were very skilled, patient and always concerned for our safety and well being.
Daniel selected a range of 5 star accommodation with full amenities, excellent food and exceptional staff .
Daniel and all his guide staff went above and beyond to make our experience unique, enjoyable and unforgettable.

Personal and proffesional
The team at Dana were most helpful and flexible. We travelled with children age 7 and 10 and we felt well looked after by Nicholas in Nairobi, Moses in Tsavo and staff in Mombasa/Galu Beach.
We had put together a plan for the trip ourselves and Dana fulfilled all our expectations. Thank you Daniel and the team!

Unforgettable experience and well organised
Our itinerary and supporting information was communicated well in advance then Daniel arranged our hotel in Nairobi and met us there for a briefing. We were well prepared.
Our driver met us on time on the first day and the border crossings were smooth even though we had to change to a new driver on the Tanzanian side. Both Philip and Richard were first class.
Every day was different and superb. We saw so much and the drivers knew where to go and explained everything. Accommodation and food was generally very good. We fed back to Daniel about one less than optimal hotel which he immediately said he would switch out of the itinerary.
We were not safari novices but this Dana tour lived up to our hopes and more.

Excellent From Start to Finish
Before we left home we felt confident that we'd made a good choice for our Safari. Communication was easy and the itinerary detailed and clear.
The reality turned out to be so much better than we’d hoped and now it's over, we're already thinking that we need to return.
We'd travelled previously overland from Victoria Falls to Cape Town but this time we wanted to see East Africa... and wow! We certainly did see it!
We had two driver/guides; one in Kenya and the other in Tanzania, and Richard and Phillip are both excellent. Their knowledge of their country and wildlife really brought the journey to life.
The accommodation for the most part exceeded our expectation, likewise meals and services. Every detail was planned, the National Parks we visited were each different, the itinerary is fast paced, we covered a lot of ground... and we loved every minute of it.
If there were any issues our driver/guides dealt with them or Daniel was at the end of the phone. Everything was easy and for 12 glorious days we felt very lucky indeed.
If you're considering Dana, then book, relax and have a glorious adventure. It's fast, there are long drives and some roads are a challenge but you will not be dissappointed!
What memories we have! Thank you Dana! We'll be back in a year or two!
