An extremely special trip for my wife's special birthday in an incredible country.
Rob helped in every way to make this happen, suggesting locations, itinerary and accommodation.
The blend of travel and sightseeing was perfect with superb local guides.
We will definitely be back to do the parts of Madagascar we didn't do and will use Tailormade again (with Rob hopefully)

Incredible trip
We went on a 4.5 week trip to Madagascar for our honeymoon and cannot recommend Rob and the team enough. The booking process was very clear and easy from the start. Rob was very easy to contact and was invested in ensuring we had the most amazing trip. He took on board our passions and interests and then tailored the trip to that. He was flexible and sent us different options after a change to the initial plan, also making suggestions and recommendations to ensure the best experience.
The trip worked like clockwork, we did not have to sort a single thing for the whole trip. We did not have a single issue, we felt incredibly well looked after and safe. Rob was on hand throughout should there have been any problems (which there were not). The guides were phenomenal and the accommodation was top notch. All the activities reflected what we wanted to get out of the trip. After the trip, Rob wanted to ensure everything had gone smoothly and it had met our expectations.
We would highly recommend Rob and Madagascar. If you love nature and scenery, it is world class.

Helpful, knowledgeable and patient with our needs.
We were a long time planning with Tailormade Africa due to an unforeseen move to the UAE. They offered great suggestions and were flexible in meeting our needs, which changed on several occasions. The reality of the Safari was everything that we had hoped for and more. The collection in Arusha went smoothly, the lodge on the first night was relaxing. The seven days & nights of safari that followed in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the NortherN Serengeti were spectacular. Our guides and camp staff all added to the experience, we stayed in tented lodge Tarangire, a beautiful lodge near Ngorongoro and a mobile tented camp in the Serengeti, with wildebeest and zebra roaming freely around our tent. For anyone considering an African safari we could not recommend Tailormade highly enough. We had the big 5 ticked off within a couple of days. In Tarangire we were close up with a lioness in a hunt and male leopard. In the Northern Serengeti, we witnessed the migration in full flow, wildebeest and zebra for as far as the eye could see. river crossings, crocodiles, serval cat, elephants, prides of lions.

Rob always went out of his way to helpful
It was as if Tailormade Africa were tailormade for us.
I was trying to organise a trip to Tanzania for 12 of us across 3 generations. Firstly, Rob was very knowledgeable about Tanzania, listened to what we wanted to do and recommended Ruaha. This was quite a sell as I'd never heard of it. Rob then described went all the options for lodges and guided us gently but surely to Ikuka - and it was perfect. But throughout, Rob was always friendly and flexible and very patient with questions about what a 7 year old grandchild might want - or not want to do.
From Ikuka we went to Zanzibar. Here Rob had a more limited knowledge but working together we found an idyllic villa on the beach and Rob arranged all the admin for us. We needed to spend one night in Dar when in transit to Ikuka and Rob recommended a hotel which we thought looked a bit corporate. But being Rob he took it on the chin and we ended up at the Protea Courtyard. The Courtyard had much more character and turned out to be a great success - and it wasn't too far from the airport. I would strongly recommend it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Tailormade Africa. You don't get all the bells and whistles that you would with some of the larger travel companies; but then you also don't end up paying for all the things that you don't need. What we wanted was someone who was knowledgeable, flexible, pragmatic and friendly - and that's what Rob delivers.

A well-organised and bespoke trip!
Rob and the team took a lot of time planning our trip to ensure that it was a unique and memorable honeymoon. They were very flexible and helpful during the planning stages of the trip, and responsive to Whatsapp messages whilst we were on the trip too. The app was a life-saver whilst we were away, as it provides you with offline information about your day-to-day itinerary and links to any documents that you need. This made the trip feel very organised and smooth. The accommodation was perfectly chosen to work around our desired needs. It really was a trip of a lifetime- a holiday that we will never forget, thank you!

Excellent itinerary recommendations based on our preferences (and constraints!)
This was our 'last' big family holiday as the 3 kids are now functioning adults! And it didn't disappoint, in fact exceeded expectations. Rob consulted us on our needs and he and his team were happy to produce a variety of iterations until we finalised itinerary that suited us - and our budget. The itinerary that combined an excellent safari with luxurious r&r. There was a fair bit of travelling but we knew that would be the case so we were expecting it. Everything went to plan apart from one leg which was outside of everyone's control (air traffic controllers.......) but Rob helped us sort out a plan B on the spot with his local contacts and all was well. Thanks Tailormade Africa - you helped us have th eholiday of a lifetime!

Taylormade Africa, made me feel safe, filling me with confidenace about their knowledge of Africa
In today's world it is very hard to trust everything you read on the internet and if the person you are talking to are running a legitimate company.
From the moment I made contact with Clyde Beaty at Taylormade Africa he assure me straight away, as we had a video call and Clyde listen to what I was trying to plan rather than just jumping in. Once I had gone through everything Clyde made some suggestions about location of my stay in relation to Victoria falls and how best to plan the trips we wanted to do and the order of them. Clyde sent through options, he was never pushy, he always gave me plenty of time to consider my options. Once I had booked the trip which was fantastic value for money it was all very simple and all the service I received were on time, clear and it never felt like any of my questions were a chore for Clyde.
The actual vacation was absolutely out of this world, Clyde's suggestions about the location and where we stayed was unbelievable, such an amazing first class experience which we would not have though we could have afforded because the accommodation, food, services on our tour were absolutely amazing, I would recommend to anyone, to use Clyde to help book the right holiday of a life time for you or your family.

From the very beginning, Clyde Beaty was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to understand what we wanted and advised us brilliantly, organising and booking everything for us. The whole trip was meticulously planned, which meant we could simply relax and enjoy every moment.
Taking my mother and my son made it even more special. Botswana was absolutely magical — the wildlife, the scenery and the incredible experiences were beyond anything we could have imagined. We saw so many amazing animals and created memories that we will treasure forever.
We then travelled on to Cape Town, which was equally wonderful. Once again, everything was organised seamlessly, from the accommodation to the hotel and transfers. It was all so well thought through and made the entire journey feel effortless.

We had a terrific service from Tailormade Africa. Clyde spent time get to know us and understand what we wanted to experience. His advice and direction with respect to where to go and what to do and see was invaluable. Seamless bookings and the trip was smooth with 'hand holding' from start to finish. Consistently delivers what we want - without us having to ask!
This was our 3rd trip with Tailormade Africa. In truth, we have never asked Clyde to organise a specific itinerary. He talks to us, listens to our thoughts, understands what we want and then puts together trips that constantly exceed expectations in terms of the safari experience but also the ambience and style that we prefer.
His planning is detailed and prompt. He always explains in detail how he thinks the itinerary will work for us and what we will get out of it. He is never wrong. For example, he knows we don't like crowds and prefer the expansive safari experience so this year he recommended Southern Tanzania, far away from the crowds of the north. We stayed at Laba Siwandu in Selous followed by a bush walking safari at the isolated Kichaka camp in Ruaha. Both were stunning in every way possible.
Clyde tells you he monitors your travels from home 24/7 and we can confirm he does just that. Problems in the Gulf meant we missed our connection in Dubai to Dar. We arrived in Dubai around 6am UK time to messages from Clyde and Josh advising us of our options. By the time we arrived at our Emirates layover hotel, 45 minutes later, they had rearranged our internal flights in Tanzania. We therefore only missed a half day of our safari as a result and, more to the point, relaxed in Dubai knowing that all was good!
An often overlooked point travelling in Africa is the chaos and confusion in some of the airports. Not helpful if you're chasing a connection. On arrival in/out at Dar, Clyde arranged airside help to take us through the terminal as quickly as possible. Invaluable! He always messages at each camp to check in and ensure there are no problems. There never are.
The service that Clyde and his team provide is outstanding. He treats each client as though they were a close relative, ensuring they have the best time possible. His knowledge of Africa and the various suppliers is immense. I always look forward to tapping into his brain and seeing what he suggests.
In short, Tailormade Africa provide an invaluable service and great value.
