Amazing experience from start to finish!
5/5

Prior to booking we were a little sceptical because we were so far away, and you are never quite sure who you're sending your money to. But from our first communication with Features Africa, our concerns were eased. No matter how many questions asked and emails sent, Karanja responded and answered every one of our concerns, and our comfort level rose. We were to arrive in Nairobi late at night and be picked up early the next morning. We happened to have a window overlooking the front of the hotel. As our alarm went off, I took a look out of the window to take in the city views, and the first thing i saw was our safari vehicle pulling up to the hotel bright and early. We immediately got excited. We came downstairs to meet Karanja and our driver. We were introduced to Albert. We instantly knew that this would be a great adventure because even though it was 5am, Albert had a bubbly personality and was ready to take us on a trip of a lifetime. We departed on our journey to Masai Mara. It was a 5 hour drive, but it seemed half that because along the route, Albert gave us a lot of information about the areas we were passing through. This was our first time in Africa, so seeing all there was to see driving through Kenya was amazing in itself, and having great conversation with Albert was a plus. Once we arrived at the park we went on a game drive and Albert was on the money with his knowledge of the terrain and the animals. We definitely learned a lot from him. He made sure we saw everything we could possibly see in the time allotted. The only animals were weren't able to see that we really wished we had were a leopard and a rhino. Everything else we got to see and were close enough to get great pictures. The accommodations at the tent camp were luxurious and absolutely beautiful. Definitely not the kind of camping we're used to. Over the course of our stay we did a couple more game drives and then exited the park the next day for the journey home. Even with the drive back to Nairobi being as long as it was, Albert still offered to go out of his way and take us to Lake Naivasha so we could rent a boat and go out and see the hippos up close. That was also an amazing experience. The whole experience from start to finish was top notch and very professional. We definitely recommend Features Africa for your Safari. We actually saw other companies along our journey, and just looking at them we knew they weren't having the same amazing experience we were. And if it's possible, request Albert. He's the best!

5/5

Actually I'm working in Kenya and hope to take this chance to bring my parents, aunty and little cousin for a safari trip before Chinese New year. Honestly speaking, before i chose this agency, i compared with other 3. Now i can say it's definite a right and the best choice.
We have 5 days safari : 2.5 days in Masai , 1 day in Nakuru ( specially for the Rhinos and birds), 1 days Naivash Lake and hell's gate (boat ride that allows us to close to the hippos and the lake birds like pelicans, egrets, kingfishers, fish eagles etc)
In Masai, we saw almost all animals we expected to see, Karanja and Steve are very experienced that they know very well how to follow the tracks to find animals. We saw a few time lions, one female is hiding in a bush eating the prey, a poor warthog.... In Nakuru, two males lions are sharing a baby giraffe... It's cruel but it's the reality of NATURE.
Because it's a private tour, so our time is very flexible. We tried a local meat bbq on the way from Nakuru to Naivasha thanks to Steve recommend. In Naivasha (it's a city also famous for the flowers exported to Holland ) i mentioned i would like to add a flower farming visit, they tried their best to make it come true.
Karanja and Steve are humorous that we got along very well. They even gave us a surprise sunset drink on a hill of Masai Mara, and Karanja is also a professional photographer who took us lots of beautiful photos and sent to me.
Besides , the accommodation is so good, not only the tented camp and hotel but also the good foods. By the way i should also remind of taking care of the belongings in the hotels. I'm sorry we've lost a few dollars and shillings when we left my bag in the room during my dinner. I think no matter where we go, should pay attention on that.
Anyway, my family is so happy for this trip and left them an unforgettable and good impression of Kenya.
As Steve said "there is a Kenya bug, once it bites you, you will miss Kenya and want to back every year" I think my family is missing Kenya already.
Today is Chinese New Year, hope it's a year full of happiness, health and of course new adventures.

A dream!
5/5

A wonderful safari? An unforgettable trip? A dream? All this together, and much more, thanks to Features Africa with Evans and Steve. Steve was our guardian angel during our 6 days safari to Amboseli, lakes Elmentaita and Nakuru, Masai Mara. Steve was a very cautious driver in the busy roads around Nairobi, but he was also very capable on the muddy tracks in Masai Mara. He loves nature, animals and his country, and he was happy to share with us his knowledge, telling us a lot of interesting things about the wildlife. Evans also spent a couple of days with us. He is a great photographer and gave us some useful suggestions; we were even able to borrow some stuff from him. Both Steve and Evans were very generous in doing their best to allow us to see as many animals as possible. They both are very kind, friendly and respectful. The safari organization was more than perfect, everything was carefully planned. The lodges we stayed were a very positive surprise. What else? Hoping to come back soon! And thousand of thanks Evans and Steve, we'll never be able to forget our trip, and you of course!

An Amazingly Comprehensive Tour of Kenya's Wildlife
5/5

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide showed up right on time, and we had a full safari van to ourselves so we were able to move around the van to see animals at different angles and take pictures. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the wildlife we saw, giving us a fuller picture of what we were seeing. Within the first 45 minutes of the tour, we had seen almost everything we had hoped to see - lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos, rhinos, and various types of gazelles. We saw even more over the next few hours, and then had an amazing time at the elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary, where our guide was very flexible and let us stay for as long as we wanted. At the end, our guide went out of his way to drop me off at the airport for my flight home.

They know the animals well and have interesting information without. Ring overbearing. Plus they are local people so I feel like I truly am supporting the country I so sdespatetly love and miss!

Our three-day trip to the Maasai Mara definitely exceeded all our expectations. Karanja’s keen eyesight and expert knowledge meant we were always seeing different animals and learning more about them. He really went out of the way to ensure that we had the most memorable experience possible.

Accommodation was spectacular, emails were answered really fast and everything worked out great. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

An incredible experience!
5/5

It was a very good time in the trips we did with Features Africa, they are very professional, pleasant, respectful, and very concerned about people. They also speak Spanish, which for us was very helpful, since communication made it easier for us. When we visited the Amboseli National Park they told us about the animals we could find, they played music in the background and that makes your visit to the park more exciting. We saw a lot of animals, I never imagine seeing so many, they know the place very well and they know exactly where each of the animals are.
The van is super comfortable, wide, the roof rises and that makes you can stand looking at the animals and take very good pictures.

I thank Features Africa, for making me live an unforgettable experience, for making the dream of seeing all those animals a reality, and being able to know beautiful places in Kenya, all this makes me want to return to that place and live new experiences !

Asante sana :)
