The owner was wonderful and did anything she could to make our trip perfect and amazing
Across the Wild made our trip absolutely perfect. The hotels were wonderful, the Safari’s were amazing and they went above and beyond making our trip simply the best ever! The best part about it was our guide Richard, who was so knowledgeable about any question we would ask him from anything you want to know about an animal to the Africa culture. He was so fun to be around every day and making our trip the best for us was his primary goal, which he did superbly we hated to leave him so badly!

Unforgettable Experience from start to finish!
I had doubts about the safari as i’ve never done anything like this before and tend to stick to places I know. From the moment we landed in NBO the team and holiday was stress free. 2 very friendly, helpful members of the team were waiting for us outside the airport and took us to Wilson where we got a flight transfer to the Mara. We were then greeted by Ben & Nala who spent the next 3 days with us driving our private game drives. I cannot praise these 2 enough, the were so kind, helpful and really respected the animals. I’d done research of the camp and we stayed at Ilkeliani camp which was stunning. Luxury but also a fair price, everything here was 5 star. The whole experience was just amazing and we want to go back every year. We saw nearly all big 5 except Rhino’s. Thoroughly recommend booking via Across the Wild.

A patient tour operator who truly listens and stays unperturbed through multiple iterations
We all enjoyed our 9D/8N Kenyan safari with "Across the Wild" team and our guide Tony Kitusa. He was a wonderful driver and guide and gave us tons of information, not just about the game parks and safari but also about the country especially how Kenya produced top notch log distance runners/athletes year after year. At Lake Nakuru, it initially appeared as if he was in a hurry to rush the safari because he kept going in spite of us asking him to stop to take pics of pelicans. However, within 15 min, his game plan was revealed to us and we realized how blessed we were to have the right guide. His goal was to ensure we spotted the Big Five during our kenyan safari and in Lake Nakuru it was the Rhino. Tony always ensured we magically got to just the right spot before the animals appeared, and it's amazing how knowledgeable he is about all the plants, animals and geography of all the game reserves .
Fina Urio from Across the Wild was very easy to work with and all the arrangements went smoothly. Our accommodations were excellent, especially Kongoni, Lake Naivasha; Outspan, nyeri and Jambo @Masai Mara. I would very highly recommend Fina and Tony to be your Travel planner and guide for a hasslefree Kenyan holiday.

Excellent Kenya Safari
We all thoroughly enjoyed our 9-day Kenya safari with Dedan. He was a wonderful driver and guide. It's magical how he got us to just the right spot before the animals appeared, and amazing how knowledgeable he is about all the plants, animals and geography of the area. The company was very easy to work with and all the arrangements went smoothly. Our accommodations were excellent, especially the tented cabins inside the parks. I highly recommend this company.

Seemless Organization and Great Itinerary!
Across the Wild put together an unforgettable safari experience for us, including our Dad who is 97 years old! Don't let your age keep you from this amazing trip. The drivers were so kind and had a real knack for finding the animals for us to see, while still retaining enough distance to not disrupt them. I would travel with them again and again.

Every day more exciting than the day before!!
Across the Wild Tour and Safari provided a well planned, executed safari! From the beginning the drivers Dedan, David, Ian were so professional yet very caring, we hd different groups and yet the whole trip was geared to all of us!!! Going in to the Samburu Reserve was more than I imagined! The beautiful animals met us right in the roadway … so magnificent ! Game drives did not disappoint; we were given time to enjoy the animals in their habitat.. pictures just cannot capture the beauty of a lion protecting its prey; or sitting with their young just gazing out; or the baby elephant that is playing; the newborn giraffe no more than two days old.; the rhinos in the water! Each day was better than the one before ! The drivers made sure our stops were safe … lots of outdoor adaptions took place! The overnight lodging, we stayed in different areas and each was unique.. tented camp was just awesome! The safari was so much more than I expected and it was due to Across the Wild tour and Safari … and the drivers! I hope to return to see my new family. I will not forget being able to be so close yet safe from the animals… unbelievable trip from start to finish!! Thank you

Unforgettable Safari Experience – Even Better the Second Time!
This was our second time booking a safari with Across the Wild, and once again, they exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and absolutely unforgettable.
Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from the warm welcome upon arrival to the incredible game drives that gave us front-row seats to Kenya's breathtaking wildlife. Our guides, David, Dedan and Ian, were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and ecosystems, but also had a great sense of humor and a deep passion for conservation and local culture – which made the whole experience even more meaningful.
The accommodations were exceptional, offering comfort without compromising the authenticity of the safari experience. Our group – many of whom were first-time visitors – were completely blown away, and those of us returning were reminded why we fell in love with this journey the first time.
We are already planning our third safari with Across the Wild for 2026, and we wouldn’t dream of going with anyone else. If you're looking for a truly special, expertly-run safari in Kenya, look no further. Highly, highly recommended!

Magnificent Safari Experience!
Across the Wild planned our most recent 7-day safari to Samburu, Lake Nakuru, and Massai Mara. This was our third safari working with Fina at Across the Wild and she attended to every detail in what was a fantastic, and flawless, experience. Our guide Dedan (second time) was superlative! His driving, patience, animal spotting (and anticipating) is unequalled in our experience, and he structured wonderful game drives at each reserve. Suffice it to say that Across the Wild has been my go-to safari operator in Kenya for over six years, and I have recommended them to many friends and colleagues who have also worked with them on amazing safari experiences. I am already working with Fina on our next safari!

Fourth time we, friends and family have booked with them and fantastic every time.
This is the third time we have travelled ourselves with Across the Wild. Friends who have booked with them have also had fantastic experience. Fina always takes time to listen to our requirements and budget and is very patient and diligent in tailoring our itinerary to suit. This particular trip we flew into Nairobi, then an internal flight to Mara where we stayed at Ashnil Mara Camp for three nights. Our guide, Kesea (Kool) was fantastic and knew exactly which territory to look for each animal. He made us feel like family. We took picnic breakfast and lunch to do a full day drive on our second day. We were rewarded with sightings of all the Big Five plus two cheetah feeding on a kill, all in one day! Our third day was also very successful with lovely elephant sightings and plenty of hippos and croc's in the river before a visit to the Masai village in the afternoon.
After flying back to Nairobi, David was our guide for the two days before we departed from Kenya. He was always good company, informative and punctual and nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent morning in Nairobi national park with views of lots of white rhino and four lionesses on the move. This was followed by a visit to Sheldrick's, which is always special.
A big thank you to Fina and all the team at Across the Wild for another very memorable and excellent visit to Kenya.
