Kenya with Mufasa – A Trip of a Lifetime
We travelled to Kenya in March as a family of 7, and our 7D6N journey with Mufasa Tours was truly unforgettable. From the moment we were picked up in Nairobi to our adventures across Kilimanjaro, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the stunning Masai Mara, everything felt smooth, safe, and incredibly personal—like a home in a foreign land.
A big thank you to Maryanne, who was our point of contact from the very beginning—super responsive and helpful in planning every detail before the trip even began. And our amazing guide Patrick, who went above and beyond every single day to make sure we had the best experience. Thanks to him, we saw all the Big Five and even a cheetah hunt—an absolute dream come true!
We’ve travelled to many countries, but Kenya is now easily one of our favourites. The wildlife, the landscapes, and the warmth of the people made this trip something we’ll never forget.

An Excellent tour company and Fantastic guide called Ali
My two children and I had the most FANTASTIC experience doing this tour! We stayed in incredible accommodation we had the most wonderful intelligent knowledgeable guide - Ali - he was exceptional!! He always seemed to know where to go to get the best views of all the animals and his knowledge of everything about them and their habitat was incredible.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Mufasa Tours & Travels for our Kenyan safari and beach holiday. Traveling as an extended family of five (three adults and two teenagers), we were looking for a seamless, safe, and memorable adventure—and Mufasa delivered beyond expectations.

We truly feel lucky to have had him as our guide.

Each accommodation was thoughtfully chosen and exceeded our expectations:
- Zebra Valley Camp (Masai Mara): A standout! Our family villa tent with two rooms was superb, and the staff were incredibly welcoming.
- Sarova Lion Hill (Lake Nakuru), Tulia Amboseli, and Neptune Paradise Beach Resort: All were wonderful. Neptune Paradise especially stood out for wonderful, varied high quality food and friendly staff and lively entertainment team.
💬 Service & Communication
Mary Anne was a joy to work with—responsive, warm, and efficient. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. The entire experience felt personal and well cared for.

Unforgettable Safari with MUFASA – Perfect Itinerary, Great Lodges, and a Bird-Loving Guide!
We had an incredible 12-day safari in Kenya with MUFASA Tours and Travels,
and it exceeded all expectations. The itinerary was perfectly planned—diverse, well-paced, and full of breathtaking landscapes and wildlife encounters.
The lodges were excellent: clean, comfortable, and well-located, offering a great place to relax after each adventure.
Our guide Kevin was truly exceptional. His deep knowledge of birds and genuine love for them made the experience especially meaningful for birdwatchers and photographers. He didn’t just know where to find birds—he felt it. Only someone who truly loves birds can understand when to stop, how to look, and how to give space and silence to those who want to capture the moment. Thanks to MUFASA’s professionalism, attention to detail, and personal touch, this was a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a real, thoughtful, and enriching safari in Kenya.

amazing experience with mufasa tours and travels
it started with very good communication with marry Anne, everything was going smoothly, we went over possible itineraries, and chose lodges according to budget.
a week before I received all the phone numbers of everyone I met on the ground.
then we met Steve!!!
I can't praise Steve enough!!
very knowledgeable guide,very professional driver, and all around amazing person, we had a great time both on the safari drives,and the drives between parks. Steve went above and beyond, sometimes even doing slight detours inside a park just to show us an animal that just came out and was spotted by other jeeps.
Hotels were great, Sopa Nakuru was our favorite.
I know I would highly recommended Mufasa and Steve as the guide to all my friends

Amazing 3 day safari in Tsavo East!
We had an amazing 3-day Safari in Tsavo East arranged by Lucy from Mufasa Tours and Travels.
Lucy was extremely patient - answering all my 800 questions in the booking process – and after! She was helpful and kind, and she managed to arrange the perfect Safari for our little family!
We brought our 2 children of 6 and 9 years, and everything went so well!
Our driver knew the plan and the lodge, so he had everything under control, meaning that we could focus entirely on just taking in the beautiful surroundings and the impressive animals we met.
Our driver, Mahmud, was very kind, easy to talk to, humorous and very knowledgeable! It was clear that he knew the park very well and knew where to look to spot the different animals. He really made a great effort, and we managed to see everything we hoped for!
Mahmud suggested that on our final morning, we took an extra game drive in the park before he would drop us off at the train station. So instead of just an ‘en route’ game drive to the train station, we spent 1,5 hours spotting animals for the last time. This is where we saw the Leopard up close. It was an incredible experience. Simply amazing!
The duration of 3 days (2 nights) was perfect for us, travelling with kids that age. It was long enough for us to get the real experience and spotting all the animals we hoped for, but not so long that the children lost interest and got impatient.
We were picked up at 06.30 in our Hotel in Diani Beach on the first day, went to the park and had our first game drive on our way to the lodge.
We had 2 nights at the Voi Safari Lodge and when the safari was over, we were dropped off at the train station in Voi from where we took the train to Nairobi.
Mahmud helped us get the tickets in the ticket office and made sure all was clear before he left.
It was very easy and safe to take the train from the Voi station to Nairobi, so I can recommend that as well.
I would certainly recommend booking through Mufasa Tours and Travels if you wish to go on Safari in Tsavo!
