A once in a lifetime trip
5/5

Coming to Uganda was a dream come true for us. After a bit of research we contacted Buyaga Safari. Peter was always on time and quick in replying and offering support. The itinerary was the most complete with the best price. It did not disappoint!
We met with our incredible guide Gavis and we started a 12-day tour including all the must-see in Uganda. Our itinerary icluded Murchison Falls, Kibale Chimps tracking, Gorilla tracking, Golden Monkeys and Lake Mburo. We started and finished in Entebbe though we could have started in Kigali as well.
We stayed in various different accommodation while always enjoying a true Ugandan experience. Lodges vary in style and amenities but for the very fair price we had it was perfect for us. Of course you need to adjust and enojoy wilderness but I do believe that this is also a fundamental part of the trip itself.
Transfer across different sights might be a bit long but we really enjoyed driving across Uganda and seeing its lush landscape and lively cities. Gavis made us try and enjoy all the richness of its country with delicious fruits and was always ready to share with us curious and fun facts.
He accommodated all of our needs, even during Gorilla tracking, we hoped to be assigned to a closer family and he made this happened. His attention and knowledge improved our experience and made this trip unforgettable.
Excellent organization at a very fair price. Trust them with your trip you will not be disappointed!
A special thanks to Gavis who was fun, informative and always ready with a smile :)

Amazing tour with Anderson
5/5

This tour exceeded my expectations. There’s no need to state how amazing Uganda is, this is obvious. But the company and constant assistance from Anderson, my guide, has been a real game changer. He’s been 100% helpful in everything from day 1 until the very end, I felt always taken care of, he promptly assisted me with any need and he’s also a very nice person to spend time with. He always went the extra mile to make all activities outstanding. I couldn’t recommend him and the company more. All the programme was perfectly respected. The hotels were very good and the food as well. Thanks Anderson again, you’ve made Uganda a real success ! Best. Guido.

Anderson was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable!
5/5

Never in my wildest dreams did I think this trip back to Africa would be better than all the other trips I've ever been to! Not only did I have superior service the entire time, we went the pace that was good for me As I was the only one on the tour! Not only was a price exceptionally fantastic, I did not have to pay for double occupancy. Nor was I grouped in with a bunch of random people! There was so much to see and do in such an amazing environment. Besides getting to see an experience chimpanzees and gorillaz in their natural h a chat which was breathtaking, I was given the opportunity to truly see everything that Uganda has to offer. We are often told one side of a story in the world and unless you go to the country itself you truly do not know what it's like unless you are there first hand. Not only did I feel completely safe. The entire time , I felt cared for at every single place that I stayed at.

A memorable safari in Uganda
5/5

Unforgettable trip to Uganda with Buyaga Safari – 15 days of wonders!

From August 7th to 22nd, we experienced an extraordinary journey through Uganda thanks to Buyaga Safari, booked by Nakupenda Africa Tourism. The organization was flawless, allowing us to explore breathtaking landscapes, enjoy close encounters with wildlife, and immerse ourselves in the local culture.
During the trip, we were lucky enough to spot the Big Five, an unforgettable thrill!
Most notably, the encounters with primates, especially the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, were deeply moving and unique—truly some of the most memorable moments of the entire itinerary.
The accommodations were excellent: comfortable, well-maintained, and perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment. Each lodge or facility contributed to making the trip relaxing and enjoyable after full days of excursions.
The food was consistently delicious, offering a perfect balance between local dishes and more European-style options, always well-prepared and varied. A real pleasure for the palate!
A special thanks goes to Osman, our guide, who maintained an extremely professional attitude throughout the journey. He was always helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive, providing detailed explanations about the local flora, fauna, and culture, and proving to be a skilled and cautious driver, always mindful of passenger comfort and safety.
We highly recommend Buyaga Safari to anyone looking to discover Uganda in an authentic, safe, and well-organized way. Thank you for making our trip so special!

Apton, who is very gifted, made Uganda sing for us
5/5

We had a wonderful time with Apton travelling the country. He was knowledgeable, kind, proactive and funny. He genuinely cares about his beautiful homeland and his guests. The perfect recipe. The chimpanzees and gorillas were a particular highlight.

Unforgettable Uganda adventure
5/5

We are a group of 4 friends and decided to book our trip in Uganda with Buyaga safari because of the good reviews and great price.
Peter, the owner was always kind, helpful and patient in answering all our requests and with him we planned our beautiful 12 day itinerary. On our arrival we met our guide Azariah and with him we began an extraordinary adventure discovering this wonderful and authentic country. Azariah was with us all the time and became part of our group, an exceptional driver and guide who helped make every moment of this trip unique and unforgettable. We trusted him to accept an unforeseen change in the programme and for any daily advice without ever being disappointed. He is now our friend and always remains in our memory with great affection
We travelled in a 5-seater land cruiser 4x4 jeep, I would advise groups of 4 like us to choose
the 7-seater jeep, as the journeys are long and demanding it would have been more comfortable to have more space, especially for the two passengers sitting in the back.
The trip exceeded all our expectations with a beautiful and varied itinerary with many activities included. Good choice of lodges always in scenic locations and with excellent service, we had all meals included with a choice of several courses and we always ate very well.
I recommend this wonderful trip to Uganda to everyone, Buyaga Safari and Azariah , the best guide.

Best experience ever
5/5

We did a 12days safari tour with Buyaga Safari from 19 to 30 july. We choose this company for the good reviews that we saw on internet and also for the good quotation the gave to us.
We talk by email with Peter to finalize our programme, he has been always kind and available to provide us with informations.
The programme was complete and interesting with a lot of different activities and places to see (game drive, boat cruise, walking safari and much more). We saw a lots of animals and birds, all the Big Five and the last day we saw two shoebills (one on the road and one in Mamamba Swamp).
All the accomodations were more than our expectation, we always found nice staff, amazing locations and confortable rooms. The food was always excellent, we had 3 meals everyday, the menu was usually à la carte with a choice of starter, maincourse and dessert. Other times was buffet with a lot of choice.
The vehicle was excellent: Peter provided us a big and confortable Land Cruiser Jeep and had zero problems in reaching every places, it was good for every kind of street: urban street, game drive street and local street villagge (very bad street).
Last but not least: our guide, Osman. He was the best guide, driver (and english teacher) ever. We stay with him for 12 days and appreciated all his job and his kindness and sensibility with us. He always asked if everything was good and if we were ok. He was also very flexible to adapt the programme and always helpful in answering our needs. He explained to us a lot of things about wildlife and culture and replyed to all our questions.
So our assessment for this trip is excellent! Go to Uganda, choose Buyaga Safari and ask for Osman as a guide/driver! Ester & Francesco from ITALY

the tour was great, no complaints
5/5

Just got back from the tour. the tour was wonderful, saw all the animals and the culture there. the parks are amazing. the scenery is amazing. when i first saw the rhinos i was just amazed seeing them resting and then getting up and walking around us. it was an amazing sight. the lodges are wonderful. some more rustic than the others. the food was amazing. local food prepared individually. three three course meals a day lots more than a person should eat traveling. the fruit was amazing wish i had it at home. went with my daughter and grandson, he is 11. if you are thinking of traveling with a child of that age do it. they will like it. our tour guide Anderson was wonderful. he took care of everything. my grandson got the traveling bug and was ill one day. i stayed with him. anderson got him meds a couple of different times. Anderson is a fine fellow and answers any questions. he is wealth of knowledge. he speaks english very well as do most of the folks there. he bought us fresh fruit along the way and kept plenty of water. our tour was 10 days long and it was plenty long enough. my daughter went to see the gorillas and done gorilla trek. she was amazed and rangers helped her. in short this was and amazing experience.

Reliable, great value for money, would definitely recommend.
5/5

From the start, Peter was quick to respond and answered all my questions. The Buyaga quote was significantly lower than the other quotes I had seen, so there was of course a slight worry that it wasn't legit/wouldn't be as good. But we had absolutely no issues on the tour, and I would absolutely recommend Buyaga for your Uganda adventure.

Did an 11 day tour with Eric as our guide. He was helpful, always on time, and we felt safe and looked after. He was always happy to answer our questions or give us interesting facts about the area we were driving through, but didn't feel the need to fill the silence all the time, so it was nice and peaceful in the van. Although he didn't know birds like we did, he adapted and would often stop for birds along the way, and even organised a community birding guide for us in Bwindi, which wasn't on the itinerary. Perhaps if you did want someone stronger on bird/wildlife - you could put the request in upfront.

The lodges that were organised for us were of good quality. Some (like Nkundwa) had excellent service and food, others (like Kazinga) weren't as polished on the service and the food wasn't fantastic, but I guess that is the reality of travelling in this region without going for luxury lodges. WiFi is mostly only in the main areas (not the rooms) and spotty at times, enough to send a message home, but not for streaming and slow for uploading videos from the day.

The tour was carried out as per the itinerary, with perhaps just some earlier mornings than the itinerary suggests, but that makes sense as starting a game drive only after an 8AM breakfast is not the way to do it.

We travelled in a Toyota Hiace van - was nice to have lots of space for just the 2 of us and our luggage, but it was quite a sluggish drive, especially up the terrible bumpy dirt roads into the mountains and over the endless speed bumps with what felt like little suspension. We were often overtaken by the Land Cruisers, etc, but on the bright side, gave us extra time to enjoy the scenery on our journeys. No charger available in the van, so you need to have enough battery/packs to get you through the day.

Our experience with Buyaga Safaris was more than excellent.
Starting from the beginning, Peter was always available to answer all our questions, all the time.
The 10 days tour was amazing, a perfect organization.
Simpson, our driver, was always ready to to satisfy our requests, kind, polite and telling stories regarding the animals and all about Gorilla's.
Excellent service.
We had a great time.
Compared to other quotations regarding Safaris, Buyaga had the best price.
The Lodges were wonderful.
I highly recommand Buyaga.
Thank you Peter for this lifetime experience.
