Best Safari we ever had!
Our Safari in August 2024 – with Gilmag-Safaris was the best one we ever had! – 10 days of wildlife in Tarangire, Manyara, Lake Natron, Serengeti and Ngorogoro-Nationalpark. We had so many close and exiting sightings of many kind of animals. Our guide Praygod Terry not only was an excellent and carefully driver, he was also a talking book – He knows almost everything about nature, no questions remained unanswered. And he always brought us into prime positions for the animalobservations - Leopard and Chetah even Serval – so close to the Road – Crossing of the wildebeest at Massai Mara – and more and more and more…..Thanks for your professional and very personal care! We would always go again with Praygod Terry and Gilmag-Safaris – Ulrike and Mark from Germany

Great tour guide excellent safari
10/10 for Gilmag Safaris! What an amazing experience! We had an amazing time on our safari through Gilmag Safaris. We had made some last-minute changes to our African journey, emailed Gilmag Safaris and Mary was extremely helpful and responsive on making sure she got us booked and ready to go on a safari. Mary was super helpful and delivered exceptional customer service. She was quick to reply to my emails.
Gilmag Safaris arranged everything very well and our transfers and related arrangements went smoothly.
The accommodations were excellent and the staff members at the lodge were friendly and helpful. Our guide, Frank was very knowledgeable and the game drives were great. We saw all the big 5 and many other animals. We had a couple of very lucky sightings, including a lion roaming right next to our jeep. It was an incredible experience, beyond my expectations indeed. Very professional and friendly
I had a safari with Gilmag in Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater and Tangarire National Park. It was our first time in the area and Mary and Gilbert made sure we had the best safari experience. Our guide Gilbert seem to know the spots we would easily find the animals we were eager to see and was patient with us during the safari. We also visited several indigenous communities like Hadzabe and Maasai.

Amazing Big 5 Experience
We booked a 14 day safari with Gilmag Safaris and were worried about the reliability of the service, but when we read review feedbacks from previous customers, we knew we were going to be in the right hands. They were much cheaper than some other quotes received. Mary and her team were there for us and went the extra mile with every possible request had. Mary was always available on WhatsApp and her email replying was also exceptionally fast.
Nickson was a great driver and very friendly, making us feel comfortable from the first moment we met him. The safari was everything I wanted it to be. Within the first 2 days of the safari we saw all of the big five. We saw countless animals: lions, buffalo, leopards, elephants, Giraffes, Rhinos, Warthogs, impalas, Waterbucks, etc (all at close range). Don’t doubt and use this company. You won’t be disappointed! They mean business!

Best 14 days Kenya-Tanzania Safari
Our 14 days Kenya-Tanzania, organized by Mary at Gilmag Safaris, was absolutely spectacular, far surpassing even our highest expectations. This trip was the best vacation I’ve had up to date.
We found Gilmag Safaris randomly online. When booking a trip for Africa who knows where to start? I am glad we found Gilmag. Mary will probably learn reading this review that I was in discussion with 3 other tour operators during the planning stage. Not only was Mary more responsive than the others but her trip was the best value as well.
I’m happy that Mary recommended that we visit 3 different parks (Kenya – Masai Mara, Naivasha and Amboseli. Tanzania – Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire) in both countries - both were wonderful but had differences and we saw all of the big 5 and experienced so many amazing sights

Amazing tour with fantastic guide
It was our first time in Africa, and we booked a 7 Day Wildlife safari with Gilmag Safaris. Mary was great from booking the tour, being in contact with us and our guide through-out our safari.
We saw lots of animals and loved the Open safari jeep. It was truly a great experience. What made the package even better was the luxury accommodations and our guide, Gilbert. The drives were spectacular and we got to see all the Big 5. We also got to spot a wild dog, which is apparently extremely rare. This made our safari even more special.
Honestly, I could not recommend Gilmag Safaris enough. The customer experience was outstanding. We had an unforgettable trip.
Memorable Tanzania Safari For A Solo Traveller
From the very early stages of our communication, Mary from Gilmag Safaris was a professional tour consultant who understood what I wanted and designed a few packages for me to choose from. Frequent contact and continuous feedback in order to deliver the best possible itinerary was the reason I trusted Gilmag Safaris for my safari experience.
Not only did Mary provide an excellent and comfortable trip, but she also stayed in touch with me in order to make sure that everything went as planned.
The guide, Prosper, who picked me up on arrival was incredibly knowledgeable and gave an amazing start even prior to entering the park. I was given vast knowledge about the area, the animals, and the experience that fueled my imagination.
The three accommodations (Moivaro, Maramboi and Kubu Kubu) that Gilmag Safaris arranged for me were fantastic. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Safari of a Lifetime!
My husband and I booked our first ever Safari for our honeymoon and we’re so excited for the trip! We had high expectations but Gilmag Safari blew them away! We had the honeymoon / trip of a lifetime. We went to Tanzania - Southern Serengeti in January 2024 and got to see all of the big 5 animals! Our tour driver Nickson was so knowledgeable and made our trip so much fun. Each night we stayed at amazing lodges. I couldn’t believe all the animals we got to see! If you are considering doing a safari, we highly recommend the Gilmag Group. They were the best!

Memorable Northern Circuit trip
Being based in Arusha, Gilmag Safaris was easy to deal with and responsiveness by email or WhatsApp was faster than any other tour operator I approached for quotes on a 7-day trip on the Northern Circuit. Paid for the customized trip by credit card with a modest surcharge. I met the owners, Gilbert and Mary. They were friendly and helpful, making sure I got to Arusha Airport for a flight to Seronera airstrip. An email miscommunication about what I wanted in the itinerary was quickly corrected. Everything promised in Gilmag Safari’s proposal was delivered. Praise for my guide Mbasha cannot be lavish enough. Mbasha is knowledgeable about the wildlife, an expert driver on roads others were not handling well, and a great traveling companion for my solo trip.

Unforgettable Luxury Safari
We had an amazing safari in Tanzania with Gilmag Safaris. Mary communicated so readily and easily with us during the planning process and was very helpful and accommodating as we kept changing the plans. The organization was excellent, Mary was always available to answer any request and she was reliable.
Our guide, Mbasha was really passionate about his role and did a great job giving us lots of information and making our experience the best one possible. We visited Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The tour was a great experience. The Tanzania landscapes were sensational. I can’t express how grateful we are for the amazing experience that Gilmag Safaris provided.
Zanzibar part of the trip was incredible – excellent accommodation. Qambani Luxury Resort blew our mind. If you are planning a luxury trip to Zanzibar, then this is the place to stay. We can’t thank Gilmag enough to recommending this resort.
