Booked a 3-day Maasai Mara safari with Samson Safaris and it was a huge letdown. Pickup was late, the van broke down and the “mid-range lodge” I paid for turned out to be a basic budget tent with no hot water. The driver rushed through game drives, ignored requests to slow down and even argued with guests. No bottled water, poor meals and a stressful ride back to Nairobi. What should have been a dream trip was frustrating from start to finish. Definitely not recommended.
