Hidden Gem in a Packed Market
We used Safari Bookings to search for our first Kenyan Safari since moving to East Africa. As you will have seen there are dozens of companies to choose from!
Laxa Trails didn't have the most reviews but the ones there were generally positive, so we took a chance. I have to say I'm so glad we did!
The guide Ben was amazing throughout, answering questions, stopping for toilet breaks, doing everything he could to find the best animals possible, but without the constant stream of information that you sometimes find with guides. For our group it was perfect!
Hotels really exceeded our expectations, with some really nice lodges beyond the mid-range I was expecting. They are long days when going on Safaris, so the comfortable return was welcome 😴😴
Top Tip: We saw in another review to ask to upgrade to the Pop Up Room 4x4, and you definitely should! The difference between the Land Cruiser and the minibus is second to none and space is amazing! For the small additional cost it's worth it 😁

Amazing Private Safari — We Saw It All!
We had an amazing 6-day private safari with LaxaTrails Safaris covering Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara. The entire trip was very well organized from start to finish.
Our guide David was exceptional — a great communicator, always punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife. He knew exactly where to spot the animals and made sure we didn’t miss any of the Big Five! His passion and patience really made our experience unforgettable.
We did a private safari as a couple, and it was the perfect way to experience Kenya’s beauty at our own pace. There was a small inconvenience at the Nyati Safari Camp(may be coming from USA, we had a different expectation), but everything else went smoothly and exceeded our expectations.
Overall, we are very happy with the experience and would highly recommend Laza Trails to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. Truly a trip of a lifetime! 🦁🐘🦒

Memorable Safari
We are senior citizens from India and Laxa Trails and Safaris organized a trip for us to masai Mara and other national parks from 24 -30 Oct. We will like to compliment the complete staff – Cynthia for continually keeping in touch and organizing comfortable and wonderful lodgings and vegetarian food , Moses for peaceful, no rushed/ hassled driving, and his phenomenal knowledge about the animals; Wesley for being very kind and considerate in helping my wife ( She suffers from severe knee knee pain due to osteoarthritis) in boarding and deboarding from vehicle. Also very special thanks to Wesely for the wonderful photographs of the trip. These photographs shall remain a cherished memory of our Kenya sojourn.
