Great hosts! incredible house, excellent logistics, amazing place to stay!
If there'd be a 6 stars rating I'd rated them with 6!. Elize and Jugerns start planning and suggesting our trip to Hoedspruit and Krugger two months before we arrived. We even challenge them by adding a third family to the trip! They figured out to acomodated the sixteen people (3 families) in a couple of lodges, and my family, were lucky to stay at Twiga Lodge. The place is beautiful, nice rooms, nice terrace, nice pool. Since we arrive to the airport, they where there to distributed us in the vans, and had all set up for our visit. They organized our visit to Krugger and the H. Endangered Species Centre. They also organized our foods for the 16th.
One must is asking Jurgens to show you their backyard. Is full of animals! amazing!
I definitely recomend Twiga! I would love to go again there and spent more time than we did (only 2 nights). There's so much to see and learn!

Communication was great, they were wholly Professional, rocked up at the agreed time, provided us with snacks a very comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.. And also provided some beautiful photos from our day... Very knowledgeable Guiding just a great friendly team.

incredible accomodation and knowledge about the flora and fauna
We throughly enjoyed the 5 days spent at the lodge and the drive through the Kruger park in an air con vehicle stopping for information about the animals and plants.
We saw 4 ofthe big five missing was the leopard but saw cheetah instead

Great Stay at Twiga Travel
In June 2018 I visited Twiga Travel the second time after November 2017. From Johannesburg you can fly to Hoedspruit directly (what I did 2017) or you take a 4h trip by car via very scenic routes (I did 2018). Twiga Travels beautiful lodge is based in massive game (animal) park itself which is on the back of the Krüger National Park which you can enter via the Orpen gate just around 20min away.
The animal farm itself is fun to be in. You have 100s of animals in the park freely able to move and visit you at the lodge - from Giraffs to Antilopes or Zebras and I was told that predators are there as well.
The lodge was renovated I think in 2017 and is very modern and well equipped.
the Hosts are lovely and helped me / us with all questions and did also great tours with us outside of Krüger while I was travelling within the Krüger by myself - however Twiga also offeres guided tours in their SUVs through the Krüger.
I can only recommend to stay here and I will certainly visit Twiga again!

Everything was perfectly organized.
Twiga Travel is a great place to stay to explore the region. The room was fully equipped (coffee maker, kettle, TV). The hosts Jurgens and Elize organized everything for us, including Safaris, Panorama tour and even restaurant reservations and transfers, so we get the maximum out of our 48 hours there.

A unique and thrilling Safari experience!
We had an incredible time staying at Twiga Travel. We had breakfast watching Warthogs eat their breakfast. The safaris we booked with Jurgens and Twiga Travel were incredible! My little son who’s three years old was comfortable and safe, but amazed and excited by all the animals we saw! For those of you who have never traveled to Africa and are going on safari for the first time, I would highly recommend staying at Twiga Travel and booking safaris and excursions with Twiga travel! Twiga Travel is a family operated business with the nicest family, who take the time to check up on their guests and make wonderful recommendations! My husband and I travel all over the world and we have a rule that we should visit a different place every time. But we were so amazed by Hoedspruit (region where Twiga Travel is located) that we’re breaking our rule and making plans to come back next year with our extended family!

Our hosts were exceptional accommodating our late arrival, chauffeuring us to dinner and taking us on a night drive around the private wildlife reserve Twiga Tower is situated in, allowing us to view animals in close proximity experiencing their night-time behaviour. The room we stayed in furnished modernly and decorated with stylish art, depicted luxury, from bedding to bathroom fittings, with a well-equipped kitchenette.
Excellent hosts rendering professional service delivered in a personal way, very helpful providing us with a wealth of information on the surrounding area and activities. It was a true escape from our stressful daily routine which I highly recommend.

We loved Twiga Travel from the minute we arrived. The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their surroundings. We really felt at home for the duration of our stay. The rooms are tranquil, very luxurious, comfortable and clean. The game drives in the Kruger National park were superb with our guide who informed us of the amazingly rich diversity of the wild life. This was an out of this world experience. Twiga made sure that this special holiday was totally unforgettable with loads of memories to keep. The most lovely hosts, the perfect wildlife getaway and great base for our Kruger Adventures!
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Twiga Tower in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate! With fascinating wildlife all around, Twiga was the perfect getaway for us city dwellers and a great base for our safari adventures! Elize and Jurgens are the most lovely hosts, making us feel completely at home and assisting us wherever possible. They are very knowledgeable about the Greater Kruger area and organised excellent safaris for us. We will certainly dream of Twiga for a long time, till the next time we most definitely return!
